First time dining at this location. I've always thought P.F. Chang's is an upscale Panda Express. I've never really thought twice about it after eating there years ago in a different city. But my BF wanted to try today, so I thought why not. I got the BBQ Spare Ribs appetizer (6 ribs). I was pleasantly surprised - they were bold and smoky in flavor, and even though they were a bit on the sweet side, they were overall delicious. 4/5 stars. BF had the Singapore Street Noodles with shrimp and chicken. The noodles were good but I wasn't too crazy about the shrimp and chicken. The shrimp was ok but the chicken was dry. 3/5. Hot and Sour Soup was OK. The sourness was definitely there. I've never had chicken in these soups before so that was a little weird. 3/5. For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Soufflé with vanilla ice cream. The cake was warm, moist, and chocolatey, and the vanilla ice cream balanced it out nicely. 5/5. Beef stir fry dish came with lots of raw green onions was hard to eat because the raw spicy flavor; Deep Fried Green Beans was good; Lettuce Warp looked pretty good but it was not authentic, the sauce was something wrong, and the fried rice noodle base was very dry and chewy. We have always enjoyed eating at PF Chang's, but our most recent visit to the Anaheim location was disappointing. The dine-in meal itself was good, although the portion sizes seemed smaller than they used to be. What really surprised us was our usual order of two side Lo Meins to go. We've ordered these many times over the years, but this time the portions were dramatically reduced while the price increased. The side Lo Mein used to cost about $3. It now costs $4, yet the serving was only about 4 ounces--filling only about one-quarter of the to-go container. When we asked our server about it, she explained that the company had reduced the standard portion size to 4 ounces. Paying more money for a fraction of the food is disappointing and represents poor value for the price. We understand that costs increase, but reducing the portion this dramatically while raising the price leaves loyal customers feeling shortchanged. My sister and I decided to get out on Christmas Eve to meet for cocktails and found that not only were they open, but they also had deals. I have not been to a PF Chang's since 2008. I did not like the food and service, that's why. But only place in Anaheim where I could reserve for 9 to celebrate my nephew's anniversary and was hoping food and service have improved , after a decade+. When I reserved I put celebrating anniversary and when we checked in it says it on the ticket also. But before I paid I mentioned it to the server...he said because we're not members we don't get anything for the celebration. WTF? Love me some PF Chang's although for the portions it is quite expensive. It's a little bit fancier than your traditional mom and pop establishment though. Our last visit was great. I went to PF Chang's for a celebration with a group of people. This location is at the Garden Walk. It has been YEARS since I've been back to a PF Chang's, and not much has changed. The food was okay, not great. It is basically Americanized Chinese food, and I think Panda Express is much better in terms of taste. We ordered a variety of entrees, including: chicken fried rice, vegetable lo mein, CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS, Mongolian beef, Mandarin chicken salad, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, CRISPY HONEY CHICKEN, and firecracker shrimp. The fried rice and lo mein were bland, and most of the entrees were on the soggy side. I would definitely come back for the CRISPY HONEY CHICKEN and would like to try the crispy honey shrimp next time. The chicken lettuce wraps are also very good and what PF Chang's is known for. We also ordered dessert of course! We had the KEY LIME PIE $6.29- 4.5 stars, cheesecake- average, BANANA SPRING ROLLS WITH ICE CREAM- 4.5 stars, BUTTER CAKE with ice cream- 4 stars, NY Cheesecake- 3 stars, and CHOCOLATE CAKE- 4.5 stars. Big tip for those who want to order online at this location: make sure to reconfirm with a phone call way ahead of pick-up time to avoid unnecessary stress. That is, if you really want to order at this location. I know I wouldn't. I was hosting dinner at home on a Tuesday night so I ordered online the night before, with pick up time at 5:30 PM the following day. I normally do not call before going to the restaurant for pick-ups, but for some reason, I decided to call. A nice, polite lady named Mindy took my call but said there's no such order. I, of course, panicked, as it was a few hours away from dinner time and I was at work. I told her to double-check, gave her the order number and still no results. When I stressfully (but I remember still being polite ) asked for a manager, a somewhat arrogant lady named Corryn took over the call. After about 2 minutes, she found the reservation, and without any apologies at all told me the order had been there all along and next time, " don't talk to the hostess." That's it! I was aghast. I was, at that point, just relieved that the order was there and refused to engage. It isn't my fault that the hostess is the one who answers the call, and knows nothing about online orders. The hostess should automatically transfer these type of calls to whoever is in charge and not say " there's no such order," as this entails anxiety to customers. Any EFFICIENT, TRAINED manager knows this. A WELL-MANNERED, customer-oriented restaurateur would know how to handle these type a situations. Corryn handled me differently and I would tell anyone who listens to stay away from this location for online orders. Also, this location looks like an easy pick-up since the restaurant itself is by Katella Avenue, but NO.. you have to park at the parking structure, and walk about 100 steps before you get to pick up your order. It's a passable drawback if I had been handled respectfully by the manager of this place, but it just was a bad experience overall. Went for my first time ever yesterday for my birthday with my friends. For starters, our server Anthony was amazing, one of, if not the best server I've ever had. The food was ok. I think maybe because it was busy they did our food like whatever. Meat didn't taste good and the noodles were didn't have flavor even if the sauce was there. The chili oil didn't have flavor. The soy sauce or whatever sauce was on the table didn't do nothing to the plate. Every other table around us their food was good from what I was ear hustling. The guy working Take Out on 5/13/26 at 6pm needs to be promptly fired. He is incompetent, insolent, and a liar. I ordered for delivery through the PF Chang website, which they outsource to DoorDash. Only 2 of the 5 items I ordered were delivered. The Dasher didn't speak a word of English, so I call the store where I talk to the biggest clown I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I ask why they don't have someone reviewing the order with the Dashers before sending it off. He says they do. When I said they obviously don't, he admits they just leave the orders on an open table and Dashers just pick it up and walk off. When I responded saying it's ultimately the restaurant's responsibility to ensure everything is there, he said it's not their job to do so and that the Dashers should be doing that. He follows with a lie saying he personally reviewed my order with the Dasher before sending it off. OK, so which is it? You leave the orders on a table for Dashers to blindly take, or you review each one and hand it to the Dasher? This fool couldn't keep his lies straight, nor would be take any accountability for his massive F-up. All he did was blame DoorDash. Micheal was the best! When we were seated the hostess told we were sitting outside, which I thought was weird for a slow restaurant, party of two on a very hot day. No choice given. Food and drinks were all good. Micheal made great recommendations and was pleasant throughout our entire meal. FYI ~ if you are seated on patio, it seems employees take their breaks there so you will be either entertained by their conversations or creeped out by them staring at you. I love that this restaurant is in the garden walk and close by the parks and hotels. It was a quick walk from our hotel. We had the chefs feast with egg drop soup, pan seared dumplings, bejing beef and teriyaki chicken. Our entrees were good, there was a good balance of veggies and meat. Everything came out HOT, like still steaming, so we had to wait a bit for it all to cool down. The soup and dumplings were served at the same time and about 2-3 minutes later our entrees came out.
