I have trusted Ahmet at Ozco auto repair since at least 2012 through multiple cars and he has always done reliable, quality work at an affordable rate. He exclusively handled all my vehicles for a long time until I just started buying new cars and not dealing with problems. If you need anything, small or big, don't hesitate to come here. read more

The work on 2 of my vehicles were excellent. They provide receipts for the parts they purchase and their hourly is absolutely fair for the quality of work. One of the vehicles they worked on is an early 90's Mercedes which I was nervous to trust them with. It drives better than ever. These are my guys moving forward. read more

I first used Ozco back in 2015 to replace the brake pads and rotors on my Mazda so this review is LONG overdue. They finished the job in no time and the cost was less than their estimate. Since then I've used them for everything from oil changes to more serious issues (check engine light pops up) and without fail it's always a positive experience. I can't recommend Marco and Muhammad (owner) enough. They always take the time to explain what's wrong and will even take you under the hood to show why the recommended work is necessary so you'll never feel like you're being scammed. I'm so happy to have found Ozco and can't thank them enough for the service they've provided me with through all these years. read more

I've had two auto emergencies now that have been fixed by Ahmet. It's so reassuring to have a mechanic you can actually trust will not scam you and cares about your vehicle. Both times my auto emergencies came up, they were resolved within 24 hours. This latest time I came in after work, explained my issue, and the fact that I need my car to commute to the burbs the next morning... Ahmet and his crew had my car back on the road within 2 HOURS. I will always recommend Ozco Auto for top tier service and great customer service. read more

These guys are nothing short of FANTASTIC! Ahmet, the owner, is kind and honest. One of the hardest things to do is to trust a mechanic. I was a bit apprehensive when I dropped off my car to have them diagnose an issue that another mechanic couldn't find. I knew a dealer would cost me a couple of thousand dollars and I just wasn't prepared to pay that much. They took the time to identify the issue, researched options to repair (electrical related) and gave me a fair price for repair. That, and details along the way made me feel very comfortable with their service. I'll definitely be going back to Ozco for all of my car repairs! read more

My auto emergency was immediately met by the friendly and outstanding service of Ahmet, Ozco Repair owner. Having experienced a sudden brake malfunction in the course of a few days, I discovered Ozco (via great reviews on Yelp) was in my new neighborhood. I arrived without an appointment at 4p the Thursday prior to Thanksgiving. I was lucky to have any forward driving movement, as the reverse gear was not functioning at all. Ahmet was quick to open the garage upon my arrival and did not hesitate to address my concerns. He assessed the problem and immediately called to locate parts, which are not so common, after market, on the 09 Sonata. He had located the parts within a few phone calls and promised the completion, along with a very fair estimate, for pickup within less than 24 hours. This was a great surprise, considering the upcoming holiday! When I arrived to pick up my car, Ahmet confirmed the work needed was as he suspected, not a penny more-even showing me the damage that had caused the problem. I will surely return here for all of my service needs in the future! read more

This guy is a rip-off! Charged me $300 for a simple alternator swap. Alternator cost $90, labor is 1.5 hours max which is $115. On top of it he wouldn't give me the old alternator, because he was going to get extra $45 for returning it to the parts supplier. Such a dishonest mechanic. Swears to god, all the time, saying like: "Only for you brother, the best price". I would've gone somewhere else, but my car came to a dead stop after I came to his shop. Knowing that I cannot take the car out somewhere else, he charged me more. Would not recommend going to this place. There are plenty of other places to go. Save yourself some money. One of my friends got a quote from this guy on his BMW front suspension job for $1400. But he got it done somewhere else for$250 labor and $200 parts. He saved $950 just for not using this guy. What can I say, whatever extra $$$ he made from overcharging me is sadaka. read more

He did a great job getting my car fixed to pass the emissions test and he did it quickly and at a very fair price. Ahmet is friendly, honest, and good at what he does. read more

This is a great place to take your car. The boss Ahmet is the nicest mechanic I have ever met. He is a very down-to-earth kinda guy, and this place has a great history behind it. I've taken my car here on two separate occasions. The first was for an emissions test I failed with the state of Illinois. They not only fixed it, but also took it to the emissions facility for me to pass the test. I was so impressed with the service I took my car here for a broken wheel barring I had. They once again fixed it quickly, and also fixed a perpetually squeaky belt for me at no extra charge. The prices here are very fair, and they've never tried to scare me into fixing something else with my car. What you'll pay here is definitely cheaper than any auto chain center or dealership. I won't be going to any other mechanic now that I've found Ozco. read more

Nice guys! Helped me put on my front license plate on a moment's notice. I got a $60 ticket for not having one by the privately owned company that now handles meters. I don't even live here. It's an extremely rude, under-handed, unwelcoming practice. My trip to Chicago has been somewhat redeemed however thanks to the friendly folks at Ozco. read more

I've been meaning to write this for a while - I went here about a year ago due to a noise coming from my left front tire. I came in because the reviews on Yelp were good. After some investigation of my own, I told the shop guy I thought it was a bearing issue. He took the car for a test drive and told me that he'd have to replace the bearing, as well as the two front tires. It would cost hundreds. I went to another shop to get a second opinion. They told me it was just a bad tire. I replaced the tire and no more noise - it was fixed! Glad I didn't spend hundreds on both tire replacement and a new bearing. read more

Everytime I have brough my car here (which is a lot since I bought a piece of junk) Ahmet has helped me. He has a passion for what he does & really cares about the people he is helping. I always get a fair price when I go there & get my car back faster than at any other auto repair shop I have been to. read more

We live right by Ozco Auto Repair so when our Accord's battery died recently, I gave them a call and they came over, jumped the car and took it back to replace the battery. Very quick and easy, and the owner is very friendly. I'll definitely give them another go when we need work done. read more

Avoid this place at all cost. Ahmet is one of those sneaky mechanic's that will tell you that the perfectly fine part is bad, only to get more money out of you. His friendly and generous attitude is just an act. Don't allow him to lure you in. He prays on nice people. Ahmet answers his phone while being in the middle of the conversation with you, and he goes on talking on the phone for next 20 minutes. I should have walked away right there and then. I would have saved myself allot of money and time. read more

Honest, friendly, helpful and very reasonable! My compressor went out recently and was making terrible knocking noises whenever I drove. So I wanted to go somewhere that I could walk to. They also had great yelp reviews, of course. The owner Ahmet and his staff are so helpful...and honest, too! Told me that nothing else was wrong with my car. And oil changes for $20!? Can't beat it! Highly recommended. read more

Great mechanic! Friendly and efficient service. Great value and the owner genuinely cares about his customers.

Ahmet is the man! He's honest and forthright...great service and wonderful mechanic in the hood.

Great mechanic shop. He has the best prices. I have been going to him for 3 years, so far no problem. He gives you honest estimates, if you dont need a major repair, he tells you to wait to make you save money. I have a 2001 sebring, with his maintaince my car never let me down on the road. read more

That's what I want to call great customer service! I m a limo driver and my car is the most important thing for my business. I need ed to change my tires and breaks and stop by at ozco. Very reasonable price and fast service. I highly recommend ozco for everyone. read more

Be careful. I've known people he gives great deals to which brought me here, but he's ripped me off twice now and I'm done going to him. He's a very friendly guy and suckers you into trusting him. He up-charged me both times I went to him. He gave me one price, then called me a couple hours later and gave me the whole, "well, it's going to cost a little more than I expected" line. Of course, he already has my car midway through repairs. After my first bad experience I thought maybe it was a fluke because he has such good ratings. I want to like him because he's a nice person on the surface, but he's as greedy as any other mechanic. My business is going elsewhere. read more

Guy was professional! I had brought my car in to another place they told me they could not fix it less than 1200.. this guy did it for 400! I didn't pay much for the car and didn't want to put more than that into it.. thank you for your help i will be coming to you for all my car needs!! Highly recommended! read more

Ahmet is genuinely friendly, gives straight talk about your vehicle and what needs to be done, and offers fair prices. I'll be back!

Ahmet is very friendly, you can really feel that he cares about his costumers' cars. He advised me what would be good to do and what I could wait. I had concerns of a timing chain issue but he advised me that it was not time yet. He fixed my car perfectly. I also wanted to upgrade my muffler but wasn't sure what was on the market so I told him the sound I wanted and he matched me up with a specific magnaflow muffler. The car sounds quit and gentle when i want and turns into a roaring beast when I need it. Love IT!!! He even attended to little things here and there that I was not expecting (like cleaning the rust off the hitch and repainting it black at no charge). I'd highly recommend Ozco Auto repair to future customers. Thank you Ahmet, I wish you much business. read more

Amazing guys seriously I have been here 4 times in the last 6 months I believe. Very great on pricing. Very friendly, they have respect for my cars. Even I'm a young guy they don't try to make up pricing or stories. I just gotta say. I grew up around mechanics and having a family friend who owns one. This place gives me the same car guy pricing my friend doss. Saves me a trip to my old neighborhood with the same pricing. I'm happy. read more

This shop is very dishonest. They claimed repeatedly to be negotiating on my behalf with the insurance company, but in reality they were dragging their feet and not doing the work they claimed. It ended up costing me a great deal more to use this shop than it would have to go somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and find a better, more honest place to take your car. read more

Brought my car to Ahmet in need of major repairs over the Memorial Day weekend. They got me in and out in a day and even stayed late. The prices are reasonable, and I would recommend coming here. Their shop helped me when I was in a jam and wasn't sure if I would have reliable transportation following the long weekend. Thank You Ahmet!! read more

tl; dr warning! About three or so months ago, my car started making a strange (and not terribly pleasant) sound whenever I turned it on. As you do in such cases, I hoped it would go away. It didn't. So, I did the only logical thing: I ignored it. Until I couldn't ignore it anymore, because about three weeks ago the engine temperature light started coming on, first blinking and then disappearing, and then just remaining on, all ominously red. I figured the car was just short on coolant--it had been over a year since I had the fluids changed (as you can see, I am an *excellent* car owner--so I took it to Jiffy Lube. They told me that the coolant level looked fine, and I hoped that whatever other magic they did would solve the issue. And it did! For about two minutes on the way home, until the engine temp light came back on. So I took the car the following morning to Ozco, because it was the closest repair shop to my apartment. I dropped it off with Ahmet at about 8:15, and at 8:25, he was calling me: he knew as soon as he turned it on that the water pump was no good. A no good water pump often means a no good engine, but somehow, miraculously, it didn't seem the engine had been damaged in any way despite the fact that it was getting very little (if any) coolant for a solid three months. I picked the car up at 6 pm, and it hasn't made any weird noises or turned on any lights since. As for pricing...I figure that the moment you've taken your car into the shop, you've pretty much accepted that you're out $300, so the final price didn't seem that scandalous to me. All in all, a very solid experience. read more

Ahmet is a great overall guy, let alone a mechanic. He makes me feel like family every time I come in and is very honest with me. I've spent a lot of money on my damn problem cars VW and Audi and has always addressed the problem. I'm very handy around a car and my only problem is I don't have a garage, so i know if a mechanic is giving me the run around and selling me unnecessary service. Ahmet has always fixed my problem directly in a very timely manner. great service, highly recommended. read more

I hit a curb and popped my tire so the next day I went into Ozco to get it fixed. Ahmet was so nice and ordered my tire that day, called to make sure it would come in and then called me when it did come in later that afternoon. I dropped it off Saturday morning and they were finished in less than 30 min plus the guy who did the work (I dont know his name) cleaned out my entire trunk which was extremely dirty (leaves, popcorn, garbage, you name it) and then put everything back. Thank you! read more

I have gone to Ozco's for 5 years, everyone there is great but Ahmet is amazing! I always hate worrying about cost when my car is in need of repair but I never feel I am being taken advantage of there. just today my car was fixed for emissions testing, they go as far as taking the car in for test as well, that is service!! this review is long overdue as I am never short of impressed when I've gone in! thanks again!!! read more
