Please see my previous review for more detail. My daughter…read moreand I returned to Asia Food Mart for a culinary excursion of the Food Mart variety. This place is huge, and sells all kinds of things. Parking is a bit hectic, even at 1:45 on a Thursday afternoon. The parking spots right in front of the Food Mart are very small, and scary for a big SUV like mine. But there is very frequent turnover, and if you just drive around the lot for 30 seconds, someone will be pulling out. The parking spaces in front of the stores facing the Food Mart are larger and a bit easier to navigate. This mall is great fun to go to. They have all manner of foods (fresh noodles! Great fruits! Asian stuffed toys and cosmetics! Fresh meat and seafood! The list goes on and on ...) and an excellent prepared food counter, and a Chatime outlet. We bought some mochi, some enormous strawberries, and a variety of dim sums from the food counter. Our selections included fried dough sticks (they actually reheat well in the air-fryer), fried squid, scallion pancakes, seafood and pork dumplings, some delicious pork and shrimp mini-pancakes. The squid was the way my daughter likes it (chewy), and I enjoyed some as well. Everything else was great, although the dumplings were a bit past their peak, and should have been switched out for new ones. We also enjoyed some delicious bubble tea from Chatime, which always has new, seasonal selections to tempt you. Basically, a trip to the Asia Food Mart is really fun, as they have such a diversity of products. Next time, I'm coming here to shop "for real" (meaning actual groceries, as opposed to lunch or snacks). The butchery and fish counters serve really fresh food at a good price, and there are some great deals on produce. You can't get around the fact that this is a snack haven. You should check it out now!!! It's open 24/7.

My family and I had just eaten at the Pacific Mall, but man, wish we had saved ourselves for this spot. As far as an Asian grocery stores go, this is one of the cleaner, and better organized ones that I have been to, maybe ever. Not only are they clean, but they have a great variety of snacks and drinks, as well as your standard fare for everyday cooking. To me, the star of this place has to be their prepared foods area. Evidently after 8pm, they mark down lots of their prepared food items. From dim sum, to noodles, fried rice and other entrees, you can score plenty of items for $4-6 which were normally 2-3x that. I felt like a kid in a candy store and began snatching and hording all the things. I had to stop and remind myself we were on vacation, and would be living out of hotels for the next few days, so I limited myself to just a handful of items. We got some noodles, fried rice and dumplings, which we would end up eating for breakfast over the next few days. While nothing was mind blowing per se, the food was solid and certainly economical. If I lived in this area, I could see myself coming here on the regular just for the prepared foods. OVERALL - almost wish I hadn't come to this place, so I'd never knew what I was missing. Thank you Canada for showing me what's possible. CELEBRITY RATING - Simu Liu

Most of their specials seem like regular price to me. Produce section looks fresh and lots of Asian produce and options, reminds me of a T&T with less packaged good options. They do have regular customers from being next to a condo and do have everything you need for an Asian grocery haul. A good spot to pick up a couple of items if you happen to be in area, but I wouldn't say it's a draw to come here. Occasionally they have ready to eat items on sale which I tried a while ago. I don't know if I would recommend it given they are sitting out on a table at room temp, your mileage may vary. Note if you spend less than $10, 25cent charge is incurred on card transactions so bring cash if you have a small haul.

However, yesterday (March 8, 2026), my husband had to return a pomelo as it had fungus growth on one end. My husband did not see this rot as the pomelo was in a fancy pink bag. The girl at the return counter was rude to him when my husband asked why they did not check their produce and she even refused to call the manager on duty. Yes, a few of the check-out cashiers don't respond or interact with their customers, we have noticed that for many years. Perhaps store owners should train their cashiers how to engage, greet and acknowledge their customers.

You know what you're going to get every time you order. We've had popcorn chicken (5/5), pork cutlet (4.5/5), fish fillet (4/5), braised beef (4/5), stinky tofu (3.5/5 for me but others give it 4/5), dry noodles with Taiwanese sausage (4/5), braised beef soup noodles (4/5). The sides are consistent in what you get and the nice thing is you get to choose 3 with bento boxes. The complimentary soup is alway nice and my rating varies depending on what they made that day but never below 3/5. Price: At prices between 10-12$, this is a great place to get takeout lunch or dinner.

They take debit but since we don't have Canadian debit cards our American ones didn't work ofc! There is no ATM around and luckily she was OK with us using our credit card this one time!! Really appreciated that. As for the food, we got the stinky tofu, sticky rice sausages, oyster omelette, and chicken thigh bento. My husband is from Taiwan and he thought the the food was just OK. He particular liked the bento and stinky tofu but the oyster omelette and sticky rice sausages fell short and I agree! The bento had a variety delicious side dishes and chicken was moist and tastily flavored. Big portion and good value! The stinky tofu was crispy and stinky, perfect and pickled cabbage was great with it. The oyster omelette was fine but wasn't glutinous enough, we are used to it being more gooey/sticky/stretchy. In addition there were a lot of onions in it which was hadn't experienced before. The sticky rice sausages fell apart super easily and the casing around the rice was really hard to bite through. Minimal seating, 2 tables that seat 4 each. A counter with 2 seats by the window. Not sure if we'd come again but not bad.

There's an aisle of sweets and an aisle of baking ingredients. Another aisle of non perishables, and drinks, and bulk candies as well. Even a pharmacy. Really a great variety and different items than what I've seen at other Eastern European stores in the area. Highly recommend!

They have one of the largest selections of Kvass that I've seen out of any of the Russian/Ukranian stores and all very reasonably priced. They also sell Kefir. As mentioned in the previous review, they also sell medicine/pharmacy that you'd typically find in Russian and Eastern Europe, so it's pretty unique to see it out here. Store clerk was friendly.
