Just keep in mind that Vientiane is actually a warehouse, so it doesn't look or feel like a grocery store by any means. Also, like Bear stated, it's cash only! But if you forget, there's some business nearby where you can get cashback and atms.

The most special thing of it is that it has a kitchen that provides Taiwanese food. You can buy Taiwanese-style Bento (lunchbox). We ordered fried chicken and pork chop bentos this time. The fried food was very chripsy and flavourful. The rice was cooked very delicately, just like how Taiwanese chefs do. They were a bit pricy but it's invaluable to let people from Taiwan to feel the sense of reminiscence of hometown.

There's quite a vast selection from produce, meats & seafood to Asian drinks and hot food. Unfortunately everything is still relatively overpriced compared to other Asian groceries judging by the prices of their seafood market, hot food stand, specialty beer and even the taiyaki now. One positive is the number of sample stations now in-store. There's also a handful of food court options from BB.Q Chicken to Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu. We weren't impressed though by the cleanliness of the food court. If you're planning to have a meal, just be prepared to take a while to find parking in the busy plaza parking lot. Skip it or hit it? We will usually skip it until the next Korean food craving hits in 1-2 years unless it's something we can't get it elsewhere!

They also make rice noodles and soy milk fresh. I saw in a previous review that there's a chance they don't give the sweetened soy milk but there's labels and you can check it yourself... They have it in the fridge separated by sweetened and unsweetened and it's all freshly made. I usually get their flat rice noodles a little over $2 a pound, bring it home, and stir fry it myself. Sometimes it's still hot in the bag so I bring an envirobag to make sure the heat isn't too much. Also, make sure you don't go too early because they don't usually make it until noon so if you go earlier than that, they won't have any in stock. The staff is generally friendly and are helpful if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. They'll tell you what is freshly made and what is in stock. Overall, they're a great supplier of soy milk and rice.

I got some strawberry pocky, another chocolate type snack, which I don't remember what it's called and whatever else I don't even remember. The Snacks were yummy as usual. I got them for all of us to snack on while we are playing card games that night, which was perfect. The store was quite crowded. Hard to move around in. Everything was so close together. I kind of had a rushed feeling to it in here. I felt like I had a hurry up go through the isles, grab what I want and get out. They didn't have some of the things my boys wanted to get while we were there and they didn't have some things I wanted and they were out of some of the rolls that I wanted. They did have a good selection of other things though, and I ended up buying this other dessert too that was in the frozen section. Again, I do not remember the name of it but they were in the shape of fish with a custard inside and they also come with red bean paste inside, but I got the custard ones. Summary: It's not a must come visit, however if you live in the area and looking for a good spot to hit up all your Taiwanese goods and products, look no further! Also for any travelers that might be staying in the Markham area, and maybe you can't get Taiwanese goods that easily, then for sure come check it out. It's not as modern and aesthetically upscale as the newer Taiwanese Maeli Market but it still will hit that Taiwanese spot.
