I had purchased my road bike from another local shop and was having fit issues. The other shop did not take me seriously. The guy basically told me any bike would be uncomfortable for me since I am quite a bit larger than the average cyclist. When the mileages tracker on my bike stopped working, I decided to try another shop. Not only were they able to fix it, they adjusted my bike to fit better and showed me the proper way to get on and off my bike. Since then, this is the only place I've purchased any of my cycling gear and had our bikes tuned up. I also went to Bike Outlet to get bikes for my 8 and 10 year olds. They were so great with the kids and did an amazing job making them feel comfortable, find the right bike and helmets that fit.

I need plates for mine so I asked a very simple question. Do you guys have plates? That's all I asked. Then the young turd behind the counter we t on a rant about how no he doesn't because service members are a bunch of thieves and he won't buy stolen plates and how I shouldn't be asking around for that because I'm gonna end up in jail and on and on. I didn't ask for military sappy plates. I didn't ask to buy stolen military property. I simply asked if they carried a plates. I don't know why this kid was sou wound up tight about military members but he clearly has this idea that all we do is steal equipment from the military to sell it at surplus stores. Don't buy from these idiots.

The racks are not placed to encourage curiosity or exploration. It's more like a garage. One of the reasons many people hang out in a favorite gun store are not just the products but the engagement of the staff, they shoot the breeze with you if it's slow. They encourage you to hold, look and engage with the products. They educate you. They shoe interest in you and your needs and get you talking. It's not just a gun store thing, it's true at barbershops, hairdressers, photography stores, ho by stores etc. you engage with the customer, encourage sales and a friendly atmosphere. None of that was present. I'd overlook the dark dingy store if they got the rest of it right. These guys could not care less that I was there. They did not seem to be working or busy although one was on the phone. I was the only customer with four of the kids sitting at desks. They made no effort to show me anything or what I might be looking for. I would have scored them lower but they indicated they mostly do business by online auction and we're just starting out in retail. Maybe so but a little common sense, friendliness and act like your there to do business instead of acting like kids in grandma's basement glowed to video games. The price I bought my auction item was fair and I appreciated that they called me since their auction software failed to send me an invoice or notice that I had won. I hope they get better at this and are successful but I would encourage them to learn how to merchandise and retail sell. They store and their behavior is the face of their business and in the long run it does matter.
