If you're going to bad mouth the military make sure you're not bad mouthing them to a veteran. I walked in and right by the door they have plate carriers. I need plates for mine so I asked a very simple question. Do you guys have plates? That's all I asked. Then the young turd behind the counter we t on a rant about how no he doesn't because service members are a bunch of thieves and he won't buy stolen plates and how I shouldn't be asking around for that because I'm gonna end up in jail and on and on. I didn't ask for military sappy plates. I didn't ask to buy stolen military property. I simply asked if they carried a plates. I don't know why this kid was sou wound up tight about military members but he clearly has this idea that all we do is steal equipment from the military to sell it at surplus stores. Don't buy from these idiots. read more

Today was my first visit to Fort Barnes. I didn't expect much but was very very pleasantly surprised. They have an outstanding selection of new and old and the prices are incomparable. I highly recommend doing business with this establishment. Additionally, the staff was very very nice indeed. read more

Convenient local place to stop by and get some ammo; lots of AR mags in stock usually as well

This is a better surplus store than I've seen in years. I like to go here by myself and I've even taken my wife. The people seem nice and they don't mind dealing with the occasional annoying customer. It seems like these places attract annoying customers who just come to talk about nothing. I like to go in, find what I want, pay for it and leave. read more
