I bought a pair of boots, almost two hundred dollars. I bought a pair in a box marked 10.5 wide they were not wide and when I realized it and called them it was within 1 week past due for return, I spoke with a woman who said no return after time, I only wanted to exchange them for wide but even though I said if they wont work with me I will never shop there again, they did not care. They have a good variety of merchandise and their prices aren't horrible. I am typically okay with paying a little more to support a local store, which has more overhead than an online establishment. Previously when it was Kelly's on Sunshine I had stopped shopping there, due to the customer service and lack of interest to assist. I decided to give them another chance when they became Anchor Tactical. Initially when they opened I noticed a significant improvement on how they were treating customers, but now that some time has gone by it appears, once again, they aren starting to revert back to the old ways were their customer service is something to be desired. They do have some people who are okay to deal with and will help you, but others act like they literally have no interest in assisting and helping you. read more

Excellent shop with space for breathing room. Knowledgeable staff. Easily the largest supply of tac gear in town. Some really good prices on firearms, especially dipping into the used section. The Sig displays are sweet and well stocked. Love this place and the relationships with staff. They display a lot more ammo now too! read more

Have been going to Kelly's for a while now. Lots of variety. Like that you can get the larger size mace cans here. Try out different clothing and gear. Small collection of new and used guns and ammo. Prices are what you would expect for a small brick and mortar. You pay a little more for local. Update 9/30/15 Since this review the owners replied to my review and let me know some changes have been made on the customer services. Still feel this shop is 4 stars all day on gear and knowledge. I'll have to stop in and get a fresh take on the customer services. Will follow up. Always impressed with an owner takes the time to positively respond to a review. Top notch. read more

I've been visiting Kelly's (now Anchor) for a couple of years and always got great service. Last visit, I walked in near closing time and had three guys hustling to help me with a purchase. Some of the worst customer service in town. Some who work there are very helpful (like Nate), but others need an attitude check. I try to support the local economy before using the internet, but this is the last place in town that I go to...when I have exhausted all other stores in town. I have witnessed the staff treating customers as if they are being bothered to assist.....not cool in a retail setting. Those customers are the only reason the store (and these jobs) exist. I have heard this from numerous others when comparing shopping experiences. Maybe the owner will read and make the appropriate changes to the staff. read more

I've worked in law enforcement for years. I went in here to buy local instead of on the Internet or mass market. I'm ignored by the staff and there was just a bunch of super fat, stereotypical small town cops in Tapout shirts bragging about unauthorized use of force incidents and covering them up and generally harassing law abiding citizens. Real, professional law enforcement knows that these are the kind of people who truly make our jobs hard. I think about walking out but then realize that I shouldn't blame the store because of the customers. Just as I think this, two guys behind the counter (apparently one may have been the owner) chime in about how when they worked in law enforcement "back in the good ol' days before the public knew their rights" they used to ride around cracking skulls and not having to be accountable. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. If you think your badge means you're Judge Dredd, this is the place for you. read more

Went into Kelly's to upgrade my duty light after buying found out after I got home ( I live 3 hours away) that I had bought the wrong light so I called them to ask if I could bring it back next week to exchange. Donny in customer service said " How about we meet halfway tomorrow to exchange" No one has ever offered this kind of service and was shocked hear anyone offer something like this! everything I have ever bough here is super quality, duty boots from 2005 still kick ass have only replaced the lacing. Have never had a single bad experience, all quality stuff, staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. have been burnt twice over internet of receiving crap from china. Kelly's is the ONLY place that the unit I work with buy our equipment. 5 stars for all these guys and a special thanks to Donny for going above and beyond!! Dan I. read more
