First time here at Bass Pro Shop. I was told this location was the first ever BPS. Plenty of parking, did not have to fight for parking since we arrived later in the evening. Friendly service and location was huge. Some area were three stories. Wide selection of almost everything you can think of from fishing, hunting, camping and much much more. There are some small restaurants and cafes inside in case you wanted to grab bite to eat. They have a fudge bar area and coffee shop (Black Rifle). They have an aquarium inside BPS, but by the time we arrived they were closed. Tickets were $46 per person. If you are in the area, I would stop by and check out the place. Glad I was about to check out the first BPS. read more

We love visiting Bass Pro especially in December. All the lights inside and out are so beautiful and magical. The skating rink looks like so much fun, I'm a horrible skater so I usually just cheer from the sidelines haha. I really love that they are pet friendly; we love our Santa pictures. The staff is always super sweet and there's always lots to shop for and or snack on. This is one of my favorite stores. read more

Unfortunately, you need to pay to explore the aquarium, which I personally don't think is worth it considering that the place might be too small for it. I love Bass Pro Shop. But this store is not one that I can speak well about. Starts with their leadership- manager, and all the staff he's hired are substandard. They have zero communication skills. And because of my feelings about how I was treated at the store, I've thrown away all my bass pro hats T-shirts and closed my credit card account. Although I still will shop at Bass Pro in other areas in states, just unfortunately not the one in Rogers Arkansas. read more

The outside of this store was very decorative and inviting. Unfortunately the store was closing and I did not have time to actually walk around. It appeared big and spacious and plenty of inventory to explore. Well lit up with Christmas lights and Santa/sled decorations. Plenty of photo opportunities for the customers. The granddaddy of bass pro shops, this is definitely a must-see stop when driving through Springfield. The exhibits are endless, shelves are full, and food options are great. We didn't even make it to the aquarium because my son loved the fish exhibits so much! Even has its own auditorium for a presentation ( we did not watch) and a NASCAR museum. Staff was super knowledgeable. Prices were good, as well. Definitely check it out. read more

Fishing rods, lures, boats and trailers is where it started. This place is HUGE. And seems to grow,. Clothing, tires, guns and ammo, toys, food, gift items. The ambiance and outdoor themed decor almost make you forget that you are there to shop. It's a little overwhelming. This is a "not miss" sight in Springfield. You have to see it to believe it. Attached to Wonders of Wildlife, definitely worth the price of admission. Staff is friendly but we had a hard time finding the check out and exit. My father in law calls this place the Mother Ship. He isn't lying cause beam me up Scotty, this place is out of the world! You can find anything here. If you are coming in just to ogle at the sheer enormity of the place or just coming in for something specific plan on being here for more then an hour because you will get lost in the awesomeness of the place. The gun museum on the second level gives something for shooters or history buffs to wander through for hours. Not a fan? No worries, they have a huge aquarium, places to eat, clothing department. Pretty much just about anything you could want. I mean the place is truly spectacular! They don't do free shipping from the store, but will do it if you order some things online so keep that in mind, but it's still worth wandering through just to touch and feel everything. read more

The men at the shooting range are very helpful. I have taken my 380 pistol I bought in Arkansas before moving to Lebanon, Mo here, as well as sighting in my 3030 I have had for years. Greatest bass pro shop of all time!!! Holy cow the entire store is themed and it is huge. Throughout the store when you look up you see fish, alligators, the bottom of boats, and even a fisherman's feet dangling in the water. It is as if you are on the bottom of the lake and looking up as you go around the store. We bought admission to the aquarium and it took about 4 hours to see it all. After the aquarium you go through a wildlife photography part then a part that has animals from all over the world, hall of horns, penguin exhibit and it all teaches conservation and history along the way. When you leave one you have to find the entrance of the other and get scanned in. The entrance is usually right where you exited the other one. We did not know this and had to find out by asking, but all the attractions are included in the aquarium pass. It is well worth the money and the short drive from Branson. I highly recommend coming and seeing this. It is immersive and extravagant, loved it! read more

Outstanding in every way. The selection is seemingly endless. There is something here for everyone. They make shopping a Disneyland experience. Prices are very reasonable. If you can't find it here, chances are you don't need it. Employees are friendly and helpful. There are so many reasons to love this place even if you're not an outdoors person. There is an NRA museum in the store with a ton of priceless firearms from the 1700's up to current times. The history is amazing and the docents are incredibly knowledgeable. The Archery History Gallery is amazing. Pools, waterfalls and ponds are at every turn, inhabited by waterfowl, fish and yes even alligators!! This is the original Bass Pro shop. It is enormous. And beautiful. There are museum displays about Johnny Morris (the founder) interwoven throughout. The coffee shop serves coffee from Black Rifle, in Texas. Be forewarned - it is super strong. 4 stars because the animal and tree displays are laden with a visible layer of dust, but that could be easily remedied. Otherwise, it is stupendous! read more

We were driving through Springfield, so while in town we made a point of visiting this Bass Pro mecca. Boy, it's just enormous. We walked around to see the fish & turtles, stream through the store, race car museum, and more. It was so neat!! This place is massive! I've only been to the one in Mesa, Az and there is no comparison. So many things to see here and not enough time. Restaurants,,aquarium, museum, nascar. I found a great new coffee cup and found our favorite candies. The statues and animals are always a hit with the kids. You'll definitely get your steps in here. One of the biggest bass pro shop locations I've been in. Plan to be here for a while, even if just walking around. Lots of cool nature nooks, fish, and animals to see. Most areas are outfitted to make it feel like you're a part of the nature. Personally don't love the bathroom situation. While overall plentiful, the biggest ladies room that has many stalls is only by the front main entrance and almost every other is a single stall situation. The main entrance bathrooms are behind the sales section for the wilderness club at Big Cedar, so as you go by they try to sell to you. This is a must visit destination in the area even if you are not an outdoor sports enthusiast! This place has more items/stuff/gizmos/fish/creatures to look at even if you are not shopping! The kids will love you more if you bring them. Without doubt, this is the ultimate of sporting good stores. I think I could spend 3 days "just looking" and still not see all. There is a lot of parking, but this place fills up quickly on the weekend. There are some paid attractions that help fill up the lot (another review). There are places to grab a bite and lots of Bass Pro Shop snacks and goodies to take home. You'll need them to replace the calories you burn walking this maze of retail genius. The sales associates are everywhere and very eager to help. Most know their stuff and I really challenged the boat experts who taught me a lot! My last trip was really just looking and trying to keep it under 2 hours. I failed. Two and a half hours and still didn't make it to all areas. A tip, look at the ceilings! The staff are snobby and are seriously lacking in the product knowledge when asking questions. I spent 5 hrs just walking around checking out the gun museum and all the fishing items for sale. Voted Best Indoor zoo and aquarium in the United States. 500,000 square feet of outdoor, wildlife beauty that is second to none. We came for a day but easily could have stayed for three. If you love guns, America and history just plan on moving here so you can enjoy this landmark year around. Mr Morris is a true conservationist, revitalizing and conserving Missouri and our amazing country. My godfather would have easily spent an entire week in the fishing museum alone. The Nascar museum is epic, the original cars are there as well as personal notes between the owner and the drivers. Mr Morris is the epitome of the American dream, pull your boot straps up and make 'er happen. This will be a must see for ALL family that comes to visit. I really don't recommend it unless your goal is Bass Pro across the street, then it's just too handy. We have not been there in a very long time but it was a very nice place then and again I hear it has been very expanded as well. I went to return Sig rangefinder that I had used twice. I still have the box, receipt and paperwork. I bought it after deer season so I only used it once and it was during a cloudy winter day, and they worked fine. I went yesterday to shoot a gun that I just put a new scope on. This was the second time I used it. The displayed could not be seen in the sun. You had to point the display to the ground to see it. I showed the customer service return desk multiple reviews of the same issue. I did research to see I could change a setting to fix it. Sadly this is a common issue with the sig canyons. This is the first time bass pro didn't care about customer satisfaction. I informed them that I would take store credit and buy the next step up from the model I had purchased. Bought one of there ( blue green vacations) Spoke to Whitney on 5th call where I was finally able to speak to somebody who is in Orlando who wasn't very friendly and made it even a worse experience than it already was I was hesitant to even buy this when I was in Springfield a month ago and I could not get any were booking a room I was trying to upgrade the website told me nothing and then when I called I got nowhere except for being on hold for 30 minutes on one of the calls! We were trying to go back to Branson in October and it's just a big hassle to do anything with bass pro so I will just stay in a hotel like I've always done! I do love the bass pro store in Springfield. That place is awesome but as far as their Bluegreen vacations go, that is a terrible experience at least for me too much stress to book a room! They not even tell me where I'm staying for all I know it could be some rat hole! So I got a refund and then to make matters worse. This Whitney lady told me if I would've waited a few more days I would not have got a refund at all because it was over 30 days that in itself made me even more mad.! to me that's just a poor way to treat people read more

When I was in the area I stopped in here to see what all the hype was about. All I can say is HUGE!!! I've never seen so much hunting and fishing gear in my life. This place has it all plus the restaurant here is awesome as well. It's called Hemingway's which had great food and a big fish tank inside. Cool thing is the NRA museum and it's free. Wonders of wildlife is cool BUT dont be short changed for the tour. After you see the sea rays there is another hour of the tour that I was NEVER told about after buying a YEAR membership. ASK about it if you dont see the pictures and stuffed "animals". Johnny Morris is a legend! This was my first visit to Springfield's Bass Pro and it was much better than I had assumed it was going to be. Clean, designed with every detail in mind, crowded in more narrow areas, but otherwise I enjoyed my time there. The parking lot was jam packed on a Sunday, but as mentioned above, it was roomy enough except in more narrow areas. We did not have time to visit the Wonders of Wildlife, but it was highly recommended to us by family & friends. They also had a whole area of free kid-friendly activities going on. read more

Wow so much to look at. You could literally spend all day in this place and not see everything. The smell of roasted nuts and cinnamon floats through the air and makes you hungry. They sell fudge and snacks all of the place. There is 2 restaurants in the place as well as a wildlife exhibit and an aquarium. Tons of things to see. Beat part is they are pet friendly.. Went to Springfield to buy two guns for presents. Registered to get waited on. I had been holding out for months to buy the guns and finally decided to go buy them. I was anxiously sitting on a bench with the wife for 25 minutes no registers ringing up people 6 to 7 people behind the counter talking to people no guns on the counter only one woman had a hand gun with four men around her showing her how to work the action I think it was her first gun purchase other talkers were standing around dodging the muzzle. Now I had been there 25 minutes and the only one signed up to buy a gun. I finally told the wife let's leave she wanted to go tell them how disgusted we were I said they don't care and they don't really care if we buy a gun and really I am ok with it. When we got home I showed her some employee reviews on working for bass pro and she said no wonder they don't care. When a company has no respect or care or compassion for there employees then that goes straight to the customer. I buy from bass pro when I need it quick. I order everything else from online store's better price and no bad attitude employee to deal with. I see why the checkout lines are short with silent registers and offering ten dollars everytime you checkout. I go just to walk around and see if I can find a happy employee and enjoy the scenery. I wonder how the bottom line is anybody can sell stock and borrow money to keep it aflot but sooner or later it will flop. read more
