This is the best Bass Pro I've ever been to! Loved the Christmas Decor and ice skating rink! Christmas decorations were so beautiful and the feel when you first set foot inside feels like home. We found everything from wool socks, camping gear to coffee and toys for the kids. Couldn't leave without the signature BP hat either LOL. Prices are decent, depending on what you're in the market to buy. This is a giant store and we even got to visit the Wonders of Wildlife museum and aquarium (which is attached but not affiliated). We went on 12/26, which has to be one if the worst days to go. The stock was picked over, and the store was crowded. But even so - the man working at the gun counter was friendly and helpful - searching long and hard for 'missing' inventory. Hats off to him for his patience! read more

A must stop while in springfield. So much more than shopping. They have streams and animals scenes throughout the store. The museum and aquarium are also stunning but need a day for those alone! You wont regret it read more

Lots of everything and even has an area thats sorta free gun museum. If you exit out the back there is a sort hidden building with clearance items that are worth a look. some very cool live water and land critters on display. read more

I'm visiting my son and his family in Missouri, and stopping here is a must. It's an awesome way to beat the MO heat. Not to mention the place is HUMONGOUS. We went through fairly quickly, but it was still cool. If you decide to visit, plan on spending the better part of the day here. There is so much to see and do here. There's even an aquarium in the store. I haven't been to the aquarium, because we get so caught up in other stuff around the store, that we never make it to that part. Ya'll I have to say that I was jaded when people told me that this was a place we needed to visit. Coming from Orlando, we have a Bass Pro, so I 'wrongly' assumed that this one would be the same thing and not all that interesting to someone like me who isn't outdoorsy. Boy - this place really is a spot you need to visit! Four stories, tons to see and do, lots of fish tanks and cool places to see a great view, and even a restaurant inside! You can go into a couple of small museum collections like cross bows and older style guns. There is a snack bar and a full candy area. We honestly spent far more time in here than I anticipated and after we were able to just walk right into the Natural History Museum and Aquarium, which is also right there on the property. Overall: A++ It really is a space you need to go and see and immerse yourself in the first ever Bass Pro Shop! read more

Terrible customer service its a 300 mile round trip for my wife an i to drive to a bass pro we get there early on Sunday morning there is more worker's behind cuunter at guns thah customers we walked up down counter waiting to buy a new browning cengery for 30 minutes no one would talk to is never asked us if we need help then a woman came out back said you got to go over thear an program that computer if you want to look at a gun turned around an went to the back i got over 1500.00 in points on one card an 150.00 on anther cant even use them not to mention that gun is 300.00 cheaper at my local mom an pop store ill never use my bass pro cabelas card agen!! This is for one the biggest one my family has ever been to but secondly so cool to just look around at. We didn't do it all (well not this trip) due to time. However you could easily spend half a day in that place without even shopping. In my opinion the pricing for the aquarium seemed high but we also did not walk through it so maybe it's worth the money idk. If you headed through Springfield and have some time I would definitely recommend for the outdoor lover in your family. read more

This is not just a Bass Pro Shop. This complex has several free museums (fly fishing museum, antique gun museum, archery museum, NASCAR Bass Pro cars exhibit, all free) , plus a fudge shop and eatery, a coffee shop, and a formal restaurant. For a fee you can buy tickets to the wildlife museum and aquarium which takes several hours to go through. Thank you owner Johnny Morris for this beautiful experience and for your conservation efforts! Also he has Dogwood Canyon to see and Top of the Rock fun golf cart tour and experience which was our favorite thing! read more

This place is AWESOME! We visited yesterday morning to go to the aquarium and never made it. We got lost shopping and got so many neat things...flannels, coats, beanies, holiday gifts, bird feeders. Dubbed the "Granddaddy of Bass Pro Shops" this giant Bass Pro Shop is just under 500,000 square feet and is the headquarters for the outdoor store chain. It's not the largest (Memphis, Tennessee has that title at 535,000 square feet), but sure is impressive. If you are a fan of the outdoors and enjoy fishing, hunting, camping, etc. you just have to visit this store. My kids' favorite part was the free carousel, but it's also home to the National Archery Hall of Fame, NRA Sporting Arms Museum, and the John A and Genny Morris Conservation Education Center. Inside the "shop" is also an elaborate conference center and café. read more

We bought a handgun at about 8:18-8:30 this morning . We headed to Springfield and Dillion in the gun depth. said it would be 3 hours. We waited and then walked back up there and they told us another 3.5 hours. The manager told us that once Dillion calls a name and they dont show up then he is supposed to call someone elses name. I went and asked him and he told me hehas to call it 3 times. The money was taken out of the account this morning and we are ending ip waiting almost 8 hours. WHAT A JOKE!! spent my Vacation hitting Bass Pro Shops in Springfield and Branson Missouri. This one was Spectacular!! The smell of coffee greats you, so I had a latte that was perfectly blended with my froth...real cute coffee shop over looking the gators and the main floor.. we walked through the area that it the history of Johnny Morris and his rise to Riches... Quite the American Dream ( on Steroids!) I learned he bought Cabelas, Ranger Boats and Time Shares all over the place. The Aquarium was Beyond impressive!! 1.5 million gallons of salt water species and rivers throughout the store that have a variety of fish running through. There are mounts and stuffed animals all over the store like Bear, moose, elk, Deer, ram.....like a Zoo of Taxidermy animals. There is a museum but I didn't go in due to the time. My only issue with the store is that they don't carry kayaks and kayak clothing specifically for kayaking; its tailored for hunters and fishermen.. Ultimately I loved my time at this Amazing space and missed eating at Hemingway's Restaurant which is located in this HUGE Bass Pro Space! Next time I'll eat there!! I NEEDED more Time!! Lol. If you aren't blown away as soon as you pull into the parking lot then I'm sure you will be by going inside the store. So I got a Northface coat purchased from here for Christmas. Unfortunately, the wrong size was purchased, and I went to exchange. Bass Pro was out of the size I needed, but the customer service was really nice and called around to see if another store could ship it to them. We found one. It was supposed to come from Illinois, so should be quick shipping. It was the holidays though, so she said it'd be about a week. I called last week (2 weeks after being ordered). They said it's on the way from Tulsa. I'm confused because lady said Illinois, but whatever maybe she was wrong. Wait another week. Call today. Wait on hold for 20 minutes. Apparently it's gone. They have no idea where it went. I'm assuming sold to someone else. Now they are on some sort of lock and can't ask for transfers from other stores until the 18th. Then who knows when it'll arrive after I order. It'll be spring by the time I get it. I'm just going to return and purchase something else elsewhere. I won't be giving my money to bass pro again. read more

On Sunshine, from Campbell to Grant, your sidewalk ends eight-feet from the driveway at the bank. Electric wheelchairs are not all-terrain vehicles: improper tires; I get stuck in grass and gravel. So, on this cold day, I had to go back to your entrance on Sunshine and go in the street against traffic to get to my bank. Considering your other sidewalks and other renovations are so beautiful, it was cheap not to finish the sidewalk and ramp at the curb. read more

I live literally 1 block from the Springfield Store and have done a lot of business there in the past few years. I was out riding my bike just goofing off and decided to stop in and get my $190.00 benchmade pocket knife purchased there a while ago sharpened. While i was waiting i saw a $50 knife sharpener that was different than the other three i already had so I bought it. They put it in a bag that is just barely big enough for it so I cant even use the handles on the bag so on the way out the door I ask for a larger bag because I am on a bike and need to use the handles on the bag to hang it off of the handlebar. They will not give me a bigger bag and they dont care that the one they gave me is too small for the item I just bought from them and its not their problem how i get it home. When i ask why they said because it is policy because thief's are filling the bags up with merchandise. Perhaps they should stop checking people out all over the place and utilize the many empty checkout isles at the exits. I am at the main exit, with a receipt for everything I have and they refuse to give me a bigger bag when there is no way i could possibly steal anything once I walk out the door 10 feet away. I get that they have a lot of theft and I understand they are trying to reduce that but for every rule there is an exception to that rule but they would rather loose my business for good when I am a regular customer and have taken my family through Wonders of Wildlife several times. This is the second incident with them in the past year and will be the last. I will order anything I need from there online and I will save money doing so. read more
