I was enticed by this pizza place due to the number of outstanding reviews. I won't say the pizza is bad, but it is by no means anything to write home about. I had a calzone with pepperoni and sausage. The only flavor throughout the entire meal came from the saltiness of the meats. The marinara sauce was watery and didn't want to stay on the calzone. The only pro I found from this calzone was the amount of meat put into it. There was no holding back with the toppings, but when it's $1 per topping I wouldn't expect anything less. read more

NY Corner slice review: I know the Gastro always complains about the best za places always being in Deliverance territory. Well this one takes the cake....it's a road trip. However, Oz Pizza does have one of the top 3 NY style pies in Atlanta. You can find one closer in East Point, and their Decatur location has closed down. This is my favorite NY style za along with Bellas. Interesting that this is in Fairburn....but you would not know you were in Fairburn sitting inside. It has a great "intown" feel, the way a za joint should look. As I walked in the smell hit me, and I already knew all was right. Looking at the other tables I saw incredible za's, bubbles on the crust, fresh toppings, right combo of cheese/sauce. I couldn't wait. I ordered the pepperoni and garlic. The crust had the perfect crunch and the perfect chew at the same time. Charred beautifully on the bottom. The sauce was zesty and delicious. The cheese had the perfect melt. The garlic? Real chopped garlic, not the pre-minced rubbing alcohol tasting Kroger garlic I always complain about. My wife and I ordered the large pie and finished it. No leftovers. Enough said. My only complaint about Oz is that their end crust is a little too high (and I believe they brush oil on it although it doesn't shine anyway), and the crust overall isn't super thin, but it is still super good. It's a good Saturday trip...and I love driving the backroads in the rolling hills of South Fulton anyway. A hidden gem. I ordered Uber eats and although I admit i didn't like the price ($12 including extras, $18 with delivery) my thoughts went to the back of my mind as I took the first bite. Good food, decent prices, nice atmosphere. I ordered the Mac and my only concern is every time I order it the bottom of the pizza is charred( I asked them to cook it a little less crispy and it will still charred the 2nd time I ordered it). I figure they have to keep it in a little longer to account for all of the meat that needs to be cooked, but I think that they should start at a lower Temp and then work their way up so the bottom of the pizza won't be burnt. I prefer my pizza to be soft and slightly crispy but not burnt. Overall the pizza is delicious. I also ordered the Hercules and my issue with the Hercules is that all of the toppings slide off of pizza once you lift it. No kidding. We ordered 2 large pies and each slice had the same problem leaving a pile of toppings on the plate. Aside from that, the crust on the Hercules was cooked perfectly. Surprisingly, the best pizza that I had in the 3 times that I visited this restaurant is their classic pepperoni. The crust was perfect! The pepperoni were tasty and perfectly cooked, and the pizza had the right amount of cheese to sauce distribution, so no sliding toppings or charred bottom. If they could correct the Burning issue with the Mac & the sliding toppings problem I would give them 5 stars on Pizza. 2 stars for beer options, 5 stars for friendly, helpful staff read more

Oz Pizza is right in the heart of Fairburn which is a pretty small heart but has a few interesting shops located on a quaint Main Street. Oz Pizza has a full menu and serves beer and wine (beer for sure anyway). We had a large pepperoni pizza, which is...LARGE, and a couple house salads. Pizza was fantastic the best crust I've had in a long time. House salad was super fresh and tasty. Finally the service, which to me is every bit as important as the food (unless the food is bad - which is for sure not the case here).
