Inside you'll find a warm, cozy atmosphere. There are a few tables decorated with a collage of wine and beer bottle labels along with a number of chairs. The wooden bar also has seating and there are some sofas off in the corner if you're looking to lounge a bit. Along the walls you'll find displays and shelves with beer cans and bottled wine, all for sale if you find something you enjoy. The flights are very affordable and great for sampling the different beers and ciders. The server was very friendly and made several good recommendations. The beers are on the hoppy side (still good, but not the style I usually go for). The ciders are what won me over. I highly recommend getting a cider flight. On occasion, they will host live music - so keep an eye out on their social media to find out about upcoming events. It's very much off the beaten path but an absolute worthy spot of taking a detour for! The dirt roads were very well maintained though I must say. Once you arrive they have a giant parking lot and then once inside you step into a beautifully designed rustic space. If the weather is nice they have some absolutely stunning views you can take in outside while enjoying your beverage. During our visit, I will say a large portion of the space was in use for a party/event. Despite this the staff were very warm and welcoming to our party and even tried to create a private lounge like space for us. I very much appreciated the effort they put to make us feel welcome. I wish the weather would have been a little nicer to enjoy outside! I got their vanilla hard cider while my wife got their blueberry hard cider. Both were phenomenal. They also offer flights for only $10 and even have suggestions for some mixing of ciders including a fan favorite mix of blueberry and maple to create a blueberry pancake. My sister and I passed it on the road during a roadtrip last year and made a note to plan time for a visit during our most recent coastal Maine adventures and it was a highlight of the trip for both of us. We're both big foodies and always try to learn about the local food scene and the Maine Tasting Center is intentionally designed to do just that. We participated in their Flavors of Maine 101 tasting class (offered daily at 2pm but make sure to book by 1:45 day of) and it was SO GOOD. We also opted to do the additional drink pairing with the day's tasting board and I would highly recommend. Our wonderful teacher took us through three themed courses that paid homage to the state's native influence, the modern day dairy industry, and of course seafood. Everything on the board was delicious (okay maybe the seaweed salad wasn't my favorite but it was still super interesting to try and learn about). We'll definitely be returning on future trips and I can't wait to try some of their other class options I saw them advertising (especially the cheese class!)

The hopped mead had a fascinating tarragon note. The Viking whey and honey mead was nutty and milky with lots of tang--the story is awesome. Lemon Ginger mead was bright, spicy and fun. The Maid Maya is cinammon and clove mead tasted of pumpkin spice fun with some orange bridging. The capsumel was fiery as the oils collected on your throat--it creeps up on you! Think of it as a large farm with a rustic barn with roaming chickens everywhere. Even a few chickens inside greeting all the guests during our visit! Then their drink offerings are so huge and vast especially for this area of Maine. Give their house made ciders a try that are not too sweet but have tons of flavor.
