Inside you'll find a warm, cozy atmosphere. There are a few tables decorated with a collage of wine and beer bottle labels along with a number of chairs. The wooden bar also has seating and there are some sofas off in the corner if you're looking to lounge a bit. Along the walls you'll find displays and shelves with beer cans and bottled wine, all for sale if you find something you enjoy. The flights are very affordable and great for sampling the different beers and ciders. The server was very friendly and made several good recommendations. The beers are on the hoppy side (still good, but not the style I usually go for). The ciders are what won me over. I highly recommend getting a cider flight. On occasion, they will host live music - so keep an eye out on their social media to find out about upcoming events. It's very much off the beaten path but an absolute worthy spot of taking a detour for! The dirt roads were very well maintained though I must say. Once you arrive they have a giant parking lot and then once inside you step into a beautifully designed rustic space. If the weather is nice they have some absolutely stunning views you can take in outside while enjoying your beverage. During our visit, I will say a large portion of the space was in use for a party/event. Despite this the staff were very warm and welcoming to our party and even tried to create a private lounge like space for us. I very much appreciated the effort they put to make us feel welcome. I wish the weather would have been a little nicer to enjoy outside! I got their vanilla hard cider while my wife got their blueberry hard cider. Both were phenomenal. Thankfully we made it for their last open weekend for 2021! Service was extremely friendly - and we learned a ton about the winery and their practices. My husband listened to a podcast about the winery (which is why we'd wanted to visit), and the owner used to plow only using a horse. They have since switched to more modern ways - but I love that their wines are all-natural and with as minimal intervention as possible. The wines themselves are fantastic!! We had a 1/2 pour of each of the six offerings (sparkling white morphos, sparkling rose morphos, Chardonnay, cab franc, merlot and a cider) and I truly was surprised to find they are all GREAT!!! The sparkling white and Chardonnay were my favorites, but the reds were nice and dry and full of flavor. The cider was also dry and tart - it is lovely! I had the pleasure of meeting Tom at the Brooksville Farmer's Market this past week, and spending…read moresome time down at the Sow's Ear Winery on Coastal Road later on in the week. Tom is a true master of his craft, which he's been studying and perfecting for twenty-three years now. He is the sole proprietor of Sow's Ear and does a terrific job all by himself. He is welcoming and friendly and engages his customers with great conversation while they test his six or seven different wines. Sow's Ear specializes in fruit wines made from organic local ingredients. The cider and sparkling cider are from Tom's own orchards, and he sources the rhubarbs for the rhubarb wine and "Rhu-bubbly" locally as well as the blueberries. The wild-growing choke cherries he picks himself and all of his ingredients are fresh and delicious. We bought a bottle of cider, which is a traditional English-style cider and quite unique, and a bottle of the blueberry wine and our only regret was that we couldn't come back again.
