I LOVE Crossfit Oxnard!!!‍ The minute I walked through that door I felt welcome! It is a great place for getting a great sweat but also to meet new people. The coaches are amazing and really care about the members and make it more of a community rather than just a regular gym. They definitely encourage me to push myself harder and to be fearless with a barbell. Joe Dahl the owner is doing an amazing job with running a well established facility. He really cares about having quality membership for his CFOx athletes. He goes above and beyond, by giving us access to all different types of tools such as mobility clinics, OLY clinics & seminars and even a barbell club. I'm pretty sure none of the other Crossfit gyms in Ventura county offer these kinds of amenities to their members. Not to mention he hosts Friday night lights for all the athletes that are in the Crossfit open and even provides food and drinks because he knows after we suffer through the WoD we will be hungry! Joe Dahl is truly an amazing person to not only give us the tools in the gym but he will also be shaving his head this Friday night to build awareness for childhood cancer and has already raised over a $1000. He could not have done this without the great Comradery that he has at CFOx and it is truly an amazing atmosphere to be in. He definitely raised the bar!! read more

Oxnard MVMNT is a quality CrossFit gym offering great programming, private training and nutrition coaching, with knowledgeable, amazing trainers that will assist you on your journey to fitness and continue to give you amazing support. A traditional gym never really worked for me. The monotony of the workouts, jumping on some weight machines with no real workout plan, and doing group classes of extreme cardio or "strength training"with 5-10 lbs. dumbbells didn't do much for me, had me bored and eventually I'd stop going. Since joining CrossFit almost 3 years ago, I've never stopped. I look forward to working out and being with my Oxnard MVMNT family. I find it so beneficial having a coach educating us on every workout move, warming us up and supporting us and motivating us throughout the workout. April 17th is around the corner and that will be a year to the day I decided to commit to trying crossfit. After falling off the wagon a couple times, I've spent the last 4 months committed to this and i know its because i have had the support of its coaches and fellow athletes. I have volunteered at a couple other facilities for a few competitions and even though i didnt't really need convincing, i knew that i had picked the right box for me. Cfox is my home away from home. As a mother my free time is limited but i spend it wisely with the coaches and athletes who have become my friends. I honestly can't imagine going anywhere else. If you dont like a good sweat, picking up heavy things and laughing a lot, then this place isn't for you. I don't check in every workout, or post sweaty selfies and progress pictures because thats not for me...but this place is and I'm thankful i have the support of my own family who know that i have found a second one at Crossfit Oxnard. read more

I am new to the CrossFit scene coming from a weightlifting background. I heard about this amazing place through a friend who was new to the fitness lifestyle. So I went in for an introduction class to get a feel of what I would be stepping into, and let me tell you it kicked my a**! I wouldn't have had it any other way, it made me want to continue, to be stronger, faster and healthier. So, I signed up, and I do not regret it one bit. I get butterflies before each class wondering how it will play out, and no matter how difficult of a workout I always leave happy knowing that i have such great coaches teaching me along the way. Although you are in a class setting, there is a huge amount of one in one time with the coaches to ensure safety and efficiency. Others in the box are absolutely amazing, they are encouraging and uplifting. So glad I am becoming part of a new family. I love CFOx! read more

I first came to Crossfit Oxnard right after I had my son. The first day I was really nervous especially since I wasnt exactly in shape! However the trainers and everyone was awesome. They made me feel beyond comfortable and welcomed me with open arms. Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable! You can really tell they want you to get you to your potential. This isn't a place where i just come to work out, this is a second home for me and I look forward to coming and getting my butt kicked over and over again. Overall amazing place and I recommend this to anyone who wants to get learn the moves the right way, meet awesome individuals and get in shape like you never have before. I came to CFOX from another Crossfit box in the area. I'm glad I took the chance to try out other gyms after a disappointing experience at my previous box. This box is spacious, clean and well equipped. Love the little touches in the bathroom, the water dispenser, seating and cubbies for gear(we didn't have any of that in my previous box, little things show that the box cares). The absolute best thing about this box though, is the coaching. They are hands down phenomenal. I've had frozen shoulder for two years and had gotten used to working around my limitations. The coaches are awesome at breaking down moves into do-able pieces so that we can continue to improve instead of giving me a completely different move that doesn't really help me improve in the area we are focusing on that day. Attending CrossFit Oxnard has been a phenomenal experience. There is a great warmness from all members to anyone new to the gym. The coaches are fantastic, and regardless of your training level, they push you and motivate you to get better. The gym is in a great location, and the facility and equipment is top notch. They have opened their doors to nonprofit organizations like Team Red, White, & Blue in joint efforts to enrich lives and bring people together. I was looking for an alternative to the typical gyms. Where one guy using 5 different machines at once, screams during every rep. I tried Crossift Oxnard out after doing some research and I found it to be a great spot. The coaches are super friendly. That helped since I intended to try and blend into the background my first go-around. The classes offer something for everyone, regardless of stage or goals. The workouts are tough, but thats what I wanted. I wanted to challenge myself and I wanted to see my hard work payoff. Try the place out. Go in and give it everything you've got, you wont leave disappointed. You want to get in shape, and the coaches want to help you achieve your goals. First my "credentials" ... I'm 44, and have been crossfitting for two and a half years now. My job has caused me to relocate three times during that span (so I've belonged to three different boxes) and travel frequently (so I drop in to WOD on the road quite a bit). CF Oxnard is a top-notch box. Great clientele who really make visitors feel welcome, a coaching staff who is genuinely interested in making you better (vice just getting you through the WOD), and great facilities. I've worked out at Oxnard for two consecutive days ths week -- and I feel like part of their family. I can't say enough great things about this place and the coaches. My daughter and I felt comfortable from day one. The coach took the time to discuss our goals, our abilities and what brought us there. Before any workouts, the coaches go over the movements and appropriate scaling for your abilities, this truly shows the coaches care about your experience, your health and they want you to succeed on your journey. My wife and I are old school members from CFOX's first location and ended up moving to the Bay Area. The box then had top of the line equipment, great coaches and most importantly an awesome community lead by Joe. We recently came by to visit the new location and were thoroughly impressed to see how much the gym has grown! New bigger facility still with top of the line gear with so many new and excited athletes looking to become the best version of themselves. It's refreshing to see how much this gym has grown while still maintaining their tight knit community. Joining CFOx has got to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have never been surrounded by SO many friendly, helpful, and encouraging people. I was mostly a gym-goer my entire life, with the exception of extracurricular sports teams throughout my high school and college life. But, since joining CFOx, I feel like I am able to reach a potential I didn't even know was possible. I was a little intimidated at first, but after meeting all the coaches and working with them all for a couple weeks, I have never felt more comfortable and at home! I have been to other crossfit gyms and this place right here definitely is different in the best way possible. Not only is their programming really good, but the coaches are just amazing. Everyone is so nice and they really push you and root for you. It's definitely like a family and a great environment to be around when all you want to do is get better at something. Went in to check it out since I have so many friends that go there and talk about it all the time. I am a Crossfit newbie, but have played sports my whole life. I was a bit nervous since I had knee surgery years ago, and haven't really done much since. Coach Joe was a huge help, we talked a lot about my personal goals and how we can modify things to build up my fitness while building up my knee, eventually getting to the point where my knee isn't even an issue anymore. I've been there for two months now, have lost 8 pounds, and feel better each time I show up. All the coaches are amazing, and most importantly, they really seem to care. read more

I made an appointment sometime in June of this year and ended up enjoying the talk we had with Coach Michelle and then met Joe the owner that same day. We were in awe with all the information they gave us so we decided to give it a try with their New You program. We went in there knowing "basic" workouts and up until this day we enjoy every bit of CrossFit Oxnard. I've been coming to Oxnard CrossFit for a few years now. I've never done anything like it in my life. CrossFit Oxnard, not only has help me loose inches, loose weight and gained muscle but I have participated in several athletic events, something I've never imagine doing. Crossfit Oxnard has been a second home for me. It has changed my life. I am more confident about myself since I started crossfit. I love the coaches and the community! I have been a crossfit member at this location for over a year and I love it!! I can honestly say I would never go back to a gym!! Crossfit is for all levels. When I first started going I didn't even know how to lift any weights, the coaches at Crossfit oxnard have been nothing but great to me and the members. They go step by step on all the techniques and movements of the work outs. You don't have to be fit to start.
