The Camp Transformation Center is filled with positive, motivating and encouraging trainers!!! They are amazing and I felt challenged by them every workout. This isn't my first time experiencing hard and challenging workouts at this level. This is my second time returning to the Camp and I knew it is exactly where I had to go, to get the kickstart that I needed. The Camp not only motivated me to get on a consistent and steady schedule but provided me with much needed guidance for healthy meals. I highly recommend The Camp Transformation Center, you will not only see a difference but you'll feel amazing too!! Jennifer M. read more

Just completed my 3rd consecutive challenge and have a total weight loss of 70lbs. This one was the hardest yet - it seems the closer you get to your goal, the slower the weight comes off. Plus, it gets harder to follow the eating plan because the cravings for food not on the plan seemed to be really strong this time. Just hold steady and aim for the goal and it will work out. I think they have a really good group of supportive trainers who all desire to help everyone. The workouts are right on, sweat inducing and if you really give it your all - you should feed sore the next couple of days. They do a good job at staggering the exercises from legs one day and arms the next, so that those that go 5-6 times a week get a varied workout. If you need some motivation to get active again and are looking for a safe environment, this is the place to do it! Now on to challenge #4! read more

This is probably the most important review I've ever written on yelp. The Camp Transformation in Oxnard and Thousand Oaks has changed my life. I never thought a simple 20 lb challenge would be such a lifestyle change for me. This is my new fit family and a fit lifestyle that will continue forever. Whether you have 20 pounds to lose or 200 pounds to lose this is the place to start. I have lost 22 pounds in five weeks on the 6 week challenge. I will continue to do another challenge and then roll it over into a monthly membership. I never thought I would be addicted to exercise and a fit lifestyle but this camp truly transformed my way of thinking. Thank you to my new fit family, to my camp director Michole and the awesome team of trainers especially Laterrian and Avery for the motivation and caring. The camp transformation gives you all the tools to live a healthy lifestyle. From the clean foods to the exercise routines it's all laid out for you. Simple, commonsense, with the motivation you need to succeed. I'm hooked, I'm addicted, I'm in love with this camp! Their marketing tool is simple and genius! You follow their very simple directions, you lose the 20 pounds in six weeks, you post your success on social media, and you get your $497 back. Well guess what? I did all I was required to do for my refund, however I don't want my $497 back. This was priceless I will roll over my $497 into a monthly membership when I am done with my next challenge. read more

I have been attending the camp Transformation Center Oxnard for 6 weeks now. I have taken the challenge and have lost more than 20 pounds in 6 weeks. I promise this to anyone, "this really works!" The trainers are amazing. They get to know you personally and they push you, but only when they know you can do more. Shout outs to Hason- ultimate military style workouts. Amazing guy and truly cares about the members. Bravo- prior marine, truly passionate about what he does. Probably the toughest. Mario- mega beast. You're an inspiration just by being there and following along. I'd be glad to share more with anyone that is Six more weeks at the end of challenge 2. The transformation camp is like no other gym I've been too. I've lost 40 pounds in 3 months. I haven't been down this much weight in 10 years. I feel better than I ever have. This gym is different because the instructors are so helpful and encouraging. Hason And Bravo and my two favorite instructors. They will challenge you every minute. Trust the process. FTDI... you know when you go. The front desk personnel are amazing also. Vanessa Rhodes asked how my family was all the time and even brought in food for me when I had a newborn. This is unmatched kindness. These people will make you want to be there. They take part in your goals want everyone to succeed. I'm grateful to be a part of it. read more

I did two successful challenges at the camp and I am continuing as a camp member after having lost over 50 lbs. Everyone is helpful and supportive. Since I usually go at night, Mo works my legs and gives me an intense workout and Hason is like everyone's #1 cheerleader and I tend to see him on arm and full body days. Bravo is a great trainer too. I'm not a morning person so never had Daphne but I hear good things and I've caught Mario a few times during training and subbing and I like him too. All of the staff and fellow campers are the absolute best-- with a special shout out to Vanessa R. at the front desk, who did many of my weigh-ins and continues support to this day :) also Julissa and Cassandra who is now at Ventura. Invest the money. I never thought working out would stick, but it has! As cheesy as it sounds, you're worth it! read more

So a friend of mine on facebook did the 6 week challenge and it motivated me to give it a try. Don't get me wrong I believe that what this place is doing is great, they want people to lose weight but of course it is a business and they make money off of people who don't make it and people who do make it and join (most lose their money from the sounds of it). I went in and asked to read the contract and after reading it I decided that I would do the two free weeks before committing to anything. First, it is advertised as "free" but you have to give a deposit of almost $500, sounds deceiving to me. Second, you are told that the 6 week challenge entails losing 20lbs and you get your money back as a refund or it can be rolled over into a membership, well, the contact states that you must be within a desired weight based on gender and height, it actually states "less than" the stated weight, if you're not under that weight then you will automatically be enrolled in the next 6 week challenge to lose 20lbs, that is what annoyed me the most, so deceiving. For example, Mary weighs 150lbs she joins the 6 week challenge and loses 20lbs she is now 130lbs but the chart states she must be under 125lbs she then is automatically enrolled in the next 6 week challenge because she didn't meet her "goal" and cannot get a refund but Mary doesn't have 20 more lbs to lose, so she will end up losing her money no matter what. Third, you are told that you must do 30 workouts in 45 days, you must check in on facebook to show proof, but the contract states you must check in 5 times per week for a total of 30, so even if you checked in 30 times during the challenge you would not get a refund unless it was 5 times per week. Fourth, at the beginning and end of each class they would advertise and "highly suggest" buying protein powders, pre work stuff and other products that they have for sell there, I was also receiving so many emails from them adversities products that I had to unsubscribe. Ok so now the classes, no one introduces you or explains how things work. If you've done boot camp clases before that's exactly what this is, boot camp. I was very turned off by an instructor who yelled at a participant for moving a piece of equipment, placing it where it didn't belong diring a workout. The class times are not great, they have morning and evening classes, nothing in between. So the memberships are $147 monthly if you're not doing the challenge and $127 of you are. Ridiculous if you ask me. Visit a nutritionist and learn how to portion and eat healthy and get a gym membership that offers boot camp classes and you will save yourself a shit load of money. read more

The Oxnard Camp transformation Center is an outstanding gym that not only offers but gives you all the tools and accountability needed to jump start your weight loss journey. It's simple you want change get yourself to the Camp! It's an investment in yourself and it was the best one yet for me. I had the best team of coaches and trainers that not only pushed me but believed in me and showed me that there was no exercise I couldn't do. The diet wasn't to bad once I was put into the secret FB group of challengers who shared different recipes that made eating such a game changer. The staff are extremely friendly and keep you accountable by always asking how I was feeling? What I was doing? And how to do it better. The instructors were amazing ! Loved the environment and everyone seemed focused on the same goal! Creative workouts that challenge you everyday. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because sometimes the customer service at the front desk was not there. There was attitude from one of the girls upfront almost every time I went. My family also experienced the same thing. If it wasn't for that this would have been an amazing experience. read more

Staff is always helpful and professional! They really care about your success!

This place to work out is good the only thing that makes it hard is there hours are very limited schedule makes it hard for someone who has a compacted schedule its the reason y I need to cancel my membership but they make it so hard to cancel the add hidden fees and there making it so complicated just to cancel horrible terrible billing department beware! First they say give a 30 day notice to cancel then they say you must pay x amount for when you first sign up they always make you pay the first and the last month up front whats the extra charge for makes no since sounds like fraud to me read more

Unfortunately the professionalism in that place is not so mature in handling problem. At first, my impression of this place was really good, but the second day I came, which I was looking forward to wasn't such a great experience. I was going for a trial, because I was referred by an employee about this life changing experience which I was curious about, and I went to the second day to workout after work, I referred a friend who has never heard of the place to meet me there to workout together, but the front desk Roxanne didn't let me join, because I was past the grace period on this rainy evening, so my friend and I left this place and most likely won't be returning. I'll check out other workout options that may be more flexible, too bad, I really had a good first day/workout and was really looking forward to becoming a member and joining. I was going to refer more people, coworkers and others, just really bummed and disappointed. I even bought new workout clothes and looked forward to making a new healthy step here, but I'm completely turned off and need to begin a new search for a more compatible workout experience and exceptional customer service that'll go above and beyond. This place has lost my interest and business. Btw, I was looking online at reviews and came across this, this business doesn't follow laws and regulations, I'd be careful. https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Camp-Bootcamp-Inc-Weight-loss-fitness-cited-million-alleged-wage-theft-labor-law-violations--476335803.html read more

I am incredibly grateful for the Camp Transformation Center. I have learned that things are not impossible as long as I'm willing to put in the work. The camp has helped me to realize that I was stronger mentally and physically than I ever gave my self credit for. I highly recommend the Camp to anyone who is ready to change. From helping you get your form right to answering any questions you may have. The staff is also super friendly and also answer any questions you have! I had a friend that did the six week challenge and that is what motivated me to join and do a challenge as well. When I joined, i attended the orientation and listening to it, I was skeptical and not sure the challenge and classes were for me due to knee and shoulder pain that I have. So, I did decide to join and am glad that I did. The classes are fun even though I got sore from the workouts and there were some exercises that caused me pain (when this happened the trainers gave modifications to the exercises ease the pain). You weigh in every week and get to see the changes on the scale as well as get inspiration from your friends on Facebook and others at the gym. I lost weight every week, not as much on some weeks as I would have liked! At the end of the challenge, I lost 24 pounds and didn't completely follow the diet but did follow it mostly (ate a little candy sometimes, had Mexican food some, and drank on Thanksgiving and one other time). I improved the shape that I was in, lost the weight, currently weigh less than I have for the past 15 years. I enjoyed the trainers, front desk staff, and other people at the gym. I didn't talk to quite a few people, until they spoke to me but by the end of the six weeks, I felt like part of a family and had opened up to others at the gym. Succeeding in the challenge is an accomplishment that I am glad I made and would do it again if I needed too. At the end of the challenge, I liked it enough that I decided to join the gym for a year at the discounted rate that successful challengers get. read more

The trainers are fantastic. Everyone of them has their own style, music and workouts. I highly recommend the transformation camp. Sometimes it does get to full and a little tight. The other part of the challenge is the diet. The menu of items that you are allowed to eat is extremely sparce. It is not a diet that most people would continue following after meeting your goal. It would not surprise me if many people gain some weight back due to the stringent diet that they are no longer following. That being said I would still recommend this camp just for the workouts. read more

The workouts are great the staff is so unprofessional & rude! I tried giving them another chance recently & they were so rude & money hungry I left. & I had friend who was going to sign up with me. Doing the camp transformation, It took a lot of determination and focus. It was hard and then got even harder, but everyone can do it! You just have to push yourself. During my challenge it was a 6 week life changing experience, to where I eat healthier. I am a foodie person and therefore doing the challenge was difficult, but as long as ur commited and want that change it should be a breeze. The workouts were amazing. Even for my fit brother who I got to take with me for a "bring a friend" day, worked his butt off! I look forward to coming back. read more

It's actually a workout you look forward to after the first week. Cardio is great and the instructors are highly motivating

The only regret I have is not having joined sooner. The front desk staff and trainers are great. I hesitated to join because I've never been a huge fan of group classes. They way the classes are set up allows for anyone with any fitness level to succeed. I struggled to keep up during my first class and after 6 weeks I feel myself stronger and better able to keep up. I'm definitely going to keep coming because another great thing about the camp is that the workouts are constantly changing. read more

The Camp was such a great experience. From fun loving staff to butt kicking trainers. I enjoyed the simple meal plan and options and the many many hours to choose to train. From squats to dips, tire flips and hula hooping, I found the training invigorating and enjoyable. All the trainers offered something different from Kat that was the Demolition Queen; L was all about: muscle build, function, and strength; and Husan energized, core destroyer, and run for fun, there was always something to look forward to. If you can lift and squat massive amounts or cant even do a push up on you knees, this program can support you and will have you where you want in no time. I love the support and the camaraderie. Dont think too hard on the process, give yourself all the time allotted, (6weeks) , and have fun. read more

As part of my bootcamp contract I have to provide a Review on Facebook and yelp Here's my unbiased review to The Camp TC Oxnard. I'll get right to the point, I give it 4 stars out of 5. Here's why What it is: It is a great place to get a very very good workout consistently 5-6 days a week. What I like is that once you find your rhythm you can hit that hourly slot everyday. for me I found the early evening to work the best. This is great in contrast to the big gyms that offer the class you like only 2 or 3 times a week and the schedule usually changes. So I found it really easy to get into a consistent rhythm with the schedule here. What it's not. It's not a fancy gym with a lot of amenities. You will find no hot tub here. No sauna, no childcare. no showers, Only bathrooms. Only the basics are here that are needed for your to perform your workout, Which I like. I like stripped down minimalistic gyms. I used to love Mavericks in VTA for it's stripped down appearance. I probably take off half of a star here because some people need showers to workout before work. You won't find a social scene full of faux barbie yoga pants and meat head gym rats. If you have time to socialize during the workouts your not doing them right. I can barely catch my breath let alone hold a conversation. What I did find was everyone was really cool. People of all shapes and sizes, men and women. No bad vibes, everyone was here to put in the very hard work layed out by the trainers and everyone was really really cool about it. There is a large sense of community here, and definitely encouragement from other members. The GYM The gym is a barebones gym, but highly functional for interval training, there are about 12 stations that range from exercise bike, to heavy ropes, to TRX to medicine ball with some barbell and dumbbell work. all in all for the GYM set up I give it 5 stars for the way it's set up and the way it's utilized. Even with minimal equipment you will be pushing yourself very very very hard. One thing I really like about this place that is probably overlooked and taken for granted is the sound system in this place. They have JBL speakers with crown amps, that is the best of the best folks. The Music is very clear and loud. When the trainers speak it is very clear. The one thing I hate about other gyms is sub par sound system that is turned up too loud and distorting with someone yelling gibberish into the mic that sounds like a Puerto Rican street carnival. So to hear nice clear loud music here at the Camp is a very nice and I would imagine often overlooked feature of this place. Also there are disco lights that some trainers choose to turn on. Which adds a nice touch sometimes, I guess throw in a fog machine and you could have a club... THE TRAINERS All of the trainers work your ass off. To me, all of them were friendly and seem to really know what they are doing. They are all highly athletic and perform most of the workouts as well during the class. I never got the bossy coach vibe ( which I hate) from any of them. They do shout instructions. But that's part of the boot camp regiment. And kinda motivates you to switch between exercises and interval stations. What I do like is that there is a different trainer everyday. So each trainer has a different style. Some run you to death (you know who you are Mario) some keep you at the same station for 2 rounds. All in all with the different trainers I saw a wealth of different exercises. Many nonrepeating And many I have never done before, and I am no stranger to the workout scene. THE EMPLOYEES The employees at the front counter always made me feel warm when I walked thru the door. They address everyone by first name. and seemed to try real hard to know everyone by name. Criticism Now for my criticism You have to checkinto Facebook 20 times and yelp 10 times during your 6 week boot camp as part of the contract you sign. I found this to be rather annoying, especially yelp, if you forget you can only check in when near the gym, and I live 20 miles away. But I guess I understand it's part of their overall marketing strategy. But still annoying, I'm not one to checkin to places on social media ever, like never, so if you see me checking in, it's to fufill this as part of my contract. Other things I can criticize, in the booklet it says what you can eat but not how often. For men 6 oz protein. Is that per meal or per day. To someone first starting out this could be very confusing. Also there is a simple chart that shows what food you can eat and what food you can't. but this simple chart is not very informative for someone who is just starting there journey. Fortunately for me this is not my first rodeo but there is most definitely room for improvement in this handbook. It should at least point to the online user groups for meal examples and recipes. https://ftdirecipes.com/ All in all I highly do recommend this place. I did lose 22.1 pounds in 6 weeks. read more

The time has come. I am done with my second challenge and I lost a total of 22.5 lbs. It was much harder this time around, but you just have to trust the process and stick to it. I cannot say enough positive things about this program, trainers, and other members of The Camp. A big THANK YOU to Hasan for his words of encouragement. They helped me stay focused when I needed a little push. Thank you EVERYONE for the words of encouragement and support, it meant the world to me. With the contract from the 20lb 6 week challenge I have to write this review. The trainers at this camp are great and keep the workouts different every class. Working in the group setting is also great to help motivate you and others will give you a push when needed. When I signed up I was excited to get a meal plan like advertised but it's not a personal plan. Every person doing the challenge gets the exact meal plan and is told to eat the same amount as everyone else. Second, there is not shopping list. They give you a list of the foods you can eat and how much you eat with each meal. If you want to loose weight but arnt willing to stick to a very strict diet, the challenge is not for you. In order to win the challenge you MUST stick to the food plan to a T and drink your water!! read more

This organization is all about screwing over its members to get money. They say it is about fitness and community but it is a bunch of crap. They do not try to help you reach your goal but look for reasons to disqualify you. I successfully completed 2 challenges and asked for a break before my 3rd because I would be out of the country on my honeymoon. It would be impossible for me to meet the challenge because I would not be able to get in the 30 workouts. They told me as a "courtesy" I could take a break but I would forfeit my $500 deposit for this "courtesy". Usually when someone does you a courtesy it doesn't cost $500. Not to mention the staff isn't organized and they do not even know the rules for the challenge. read more

Jenny is an incredible trainer. Great personality and very professional. Where is she?

BLUF: If your company motto is "Follow The Damn Instruction" (FTDI), then you should ensure ALL your employees know the damn instructions to the program! - Though I completed my challenge, to save everyone money, time, effort, and stress, I don't recommend doing the Hardbody Challenge since the machine used is sensitive and fluctuates. It's the OMRON Fat Loss Monitor. My low review is not because I don't believe this company changes lives--I believe they do provide that tool. I finished my challenge successfully. I lost over 5% body fat percentage on the Hardbody Challenge. My low review is due to the incomplete or incorrect information that the employees provide to the challengers: I am over 5 foot and around 125 lbs. During my initial orientation that the Camp provides to prospective challengers on Thursday evenings, I raised my hand and specifically asked Michole McBroom about the Hardbody Challenge since clearly I don't need to lose 20 lbs. She went over the "check-in requirements" with everyone for the Camp on our keycard and Facebook. She even stated that if a challenger does not have FB, we need to open an account since it was our way of advertising for the Camp. She also said that a review was required on FB. All these needed to be done, along with passing the challenge, and you will be eligible for your refund. The contract they provided to everyone who wanted to sign up for the challenge that evening read like it was only for the 20lb Challengers. I asked one of the employees about it, he said to fill it out the best I can. Fast forward a couple of weeks, and close to my challenge starting, I came to the Camp and told the employee at the front counter I still haven't received any information about the challenge, they look through their files and I was told it wasn't thoroughly completed. However, my phone number was written on the contract, yet no one contacted me to let me know. I complete the contract and when I turn it in I mention again about how the contract seems to be tailored for the 20lb Challengers. This was to another employee. She mentions I had the wrong contract and I needed to fill out another one. When I came to the Challenger Orientation, we were given booklets regarding the program. The person providing the orientation, Hason, went over the booklet. During the orientation, he specifically pointed me out because I clearly stood out from the rest who were trying to lose weight. He pointed out how my challenge is different from everyone else. He also went over the "check-in" requirements on the keycard and FB. A week into my challenge, I happen to come in early for a class, and the same employee who pointed out I filled out the incorrect contract was at the front counter. I just happen to mention that the booklet I was given at the orientation seem to tailor to the 20lb Challengers, she then told me I was supposed to receive a Hardbody booklet. She was doing a similar challenge that's the reason why she knew. On the day of my final weigh-in, I am brought into a room and was told I met my challenge and lost over 5% body fat percentage. I come out and told the 2 employees at the front counter that I met my challenge and handed them the slip of paper that had my measurements. The male asked what would I be interested in doing, i.e. roll over to another challenge, place the money that I would have received for a refund to a membership, or a refund. I said I wanted to receive a refund. He said, okay and to give them 2-3 weeks. I leave. When I joined the Camp, I did it under my credit card, so I assumed my refund would go back to my credit card. I keep checking my account. At 3-4 weeks, I call the Camp, since I was out of town due to military training, to check if my refund was being processed. I'm not sure if it was because I said the word "refund," but the female on the line, she said her name was Jennifer Morosko, automatically had an attitude in her tone. She said I had to wait 2 weeks and that I had to pick up a check. I went off! This Camp has had me running around from DAY ONE. No one told me I had to pick up a check! When I got back from training a week later, I call the Camp to see if my check was ready. A male named Luis was on the line. He said they've had my check, however I had to provide a review on FB and Yelp within 7 days of completion of the challenge. I told him I did the review on FB, however no one mentioned I had to do a review on Yelp. He said it was on the booklet. At this point I didn't give a damn if it was written there on not. I asked, which booklet because I was given the 20lb one by mistake, and I did not read it on the Hardbody booklet. Also, at the orientations each speaker made sure to mention that a FB account needed to be created by those who did not have an account since it was required, but did not specify to open a Yelp account. You need a Yelp account to provide a review! read more

First signed up after the first reopening of covid. I went to go ask about their precedures because I was scared since covid started and I have a baby at home. They told me it would be easy for me to freeze my account if I felt unsafe and I would be able to still qualify to get a refund with no problem. Forward to three weeks in, I didn't feel as thou they were taking enough precautions and wanted to freeze my account, they told me they wouldn't be able to then after days of waiting for a reply they told I could freeze it but would no longer qualify for the refund, Wuxi I had asked about in the first place. I tried doing the live which doesn't work because all you do is long in to Facebook and basically watch people workout. You can't hear the coaches and most of the time are just following people who may or may not know how to do the exercise. They also advertise saying you can go to as many classes that you want, yet when you try to do so they tell you, you can't because of covid spaces are limited. They see you as a number and don't take care of your health into consideration.
