I will say that this location is reasonably clean. That said the dumbbell rack is always in a state of disarray. Dumbbells and barbells are left all over the gym. Massive trip hazard and a lawsuit waiting to happen. No towel service at all. Comparing this location to Newbury Park it's hard to tell these locations are run. Y the same company. I've tried the Oxnard location a number of times and it fails every time. I was so disgusted this time I ended my workout and walked out before I was done. I just couldn't focus on my training as I couldn't locate the proper equipment and had to make sure I didn't trip over anything in any walkable area. New management is desperately needed at this location.

We went during free swim time from 12-4pm and it was only $10 for ages 3 and up. There's a big shallow kiddie pool with water activities and then 2 water slides on the back side of the park. There's a rec pool that maybe goes to 4.5 ft depth so it's perfect for just enjoying the water when you can't lap swim because the pool is crowded. A large picnic table area can be found in the middle of the center too so you can being lunch and snacks too. There a larger Olympic size pool on the west end of the center that can be used for lap swimming so overall it's great for all ages and swimming levels. We're planning to be here quite a bit for the summer! There's also cabanas to change into and showers to rinse off before and after swimming.

Even superheroes love this pool!

If the lot is full you can try to find parking on San Nicholas or on Ocean where there are several little beach access points between the homes... Also if you drive all the way down ocean, at the very end, at the last house there's a hidden road that looks like a private driveway but it's not, turn right, it's long and tight, and it will take you to another small beach parking lot!! A hidden gem! There's even a public bathroom out on the sand, a bit of a walk from the lot and very clean! Highly recommend!

You get what you pay for. The gym isn't the biggest, but it is packed wall-to-wall with new equpiment and cardio. They don't have a lot of the extras like showers and a pool, which is okay for me, because if I dont use them, I dont want to pay for them. I think it gets busy in the evenings, but I work out in the morning and afternoon and it's always pretty quiet and I can do anything I want. If you live in the area it's perfect, a gym membership between 9-15 bucks a month is just crazy! The staff was nice to me when I signed up. They don't sell contracts, so the month to month thing is pretty chill and no pressure. It is a young staff, but from what I can tell, they will bend over backwards to make sure you can get a membership if fitness truly is your goal.(I don't know if they do it for all the members, but I got a free hour with a trainer too, and he was a big help) Nice staff, equipment and good price. It just comes down to having to drive across town to sign a contract and pay an inflated monthly rate or paying 2-3 times less for an affordable gym membership at Fitness 19 in your own backyard. Like I said, you get what you pay for. There is a ton of value in this place. read more

Excellent experience! I've been a member of a few gyms(LA Fitness, Worlds, 24, And Edge Fitness) and Fitness 19 on rose is my favorite by far! I had the opportunity to train with the top certified trainer GILBERT PEREZ, which was completely complimentary with my membership, and he walked me through a detailed overview of where I'm at with a free BF test and took the time to really go over what my goals are he was personable, made me feel very comfortable and still extremely professional. He really showed me the staff there is genuine and really care to help. However, when I first joined I was well aware of reviews of over crowding and wasn't excited about that. Although, Gilbert also took the time to show me everything in the gym I can use for my workouts and I discovered the amazing variety of equipment which completely eliminated the issue of feeling like you're "waiting for a machine". read more

I've literally been at every gym in Oxnard & Camarillo.. FITNESS 19 In Oxnard has been the best hands down!!! The Staff is really friendly and makes you feel welcome every single time you come in! They also pump you even more for your workout! I had the chance to get a lot of help from Frank (trainer) he showed me the importance of setting up my workouts and in a timely manage matter, and on how much I should be consuming in a day (Protein, Carbs , Fats) Frank is a great trainer and I highly recommend going to him weather your a "beginner" he'll show you what's the best things to do to start off with , And for the "advance" He'll definitely be able to help step up your training to the next level as he did with me!!! I typically don't take the time to write a review for anything on yelp but I am very frustrated with this gym. The gym is not well maintained and does the gym even have a manager? The class times don't workout for most working clients, there isn't many options when it comes to classes. The gym is understaffed and with everybody being new they cant handle inquiries efficiently. The times that the manager peeks her head from her office she looks overwhelmed and irritated. The only time I have seen her smile is when her friends approach her which is so unprofessional because with regular clients she always looks upset. Its saddens me to write this review but with my recent experience at the gym its a must. The gym is dirty, there is no customer service, no bootcamp classes because their are no trainers. The new manager has an attitude and never is there. The gym honestly is not the same and its in shambles. Where is Deyma, where is Frank, Alejandro, Christina, and all those great trainers that were always encouraging, that took their time to teach the right way and support everybody in their fitness journey. Fitness 19 in Oxnard has been an awesome gym experience! The manager Bryan and his entire team are always super helpful, professional, and friendly. You can tell they genuinely care about keeping the place running smoothly and making sure members are taken care of. The gym is always clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciate. Even though it can get pretty busy at times, it's still one of the best gyms in the area with good equipment and an overall positive atmosphere. I had a horrible experience today. Samantha trainer at fitness 19 Oxnard would not give me enough space to finish pull downs even when I asked her to please give me space. She then starts an argument and I dont engage and go report her to the manager. Her unprofessional should be deemed for firing her. She consistently is a problem around the gym giving attitude to members as well as staff. I am writing this in hopes upper management deals with this matter. read more

This gym is probably one of the most cleanest ones i've been to. I've had my fair share of gyms, and with covid and all you can tell that all these other gyms don't really care. Not fitness 19! You can really tell the manger is always on top of things. I always see staff wiping the machines down, making sure members are wearing their masks properly, and they're always cleaning the bathrooms as well which is nice. I am so impressed with the positive changes that have taken place at the gym since new management took over. The gym is now more organized and clean, you don't see wipes all over the floor, trash overflowing, and don't have weird bathroom smells like before. This location is spread over two floors, with cardio equipment downstairs and weights upstairs. Since it was leg day, I appreciated that, despite the equipment being somewhat close together--especially around the leg machines--I was still able to complete my workout comfortably. The highlight for me was the breathtaking views, which made the session even more enjoyable. I'm giving this place four stars because I understand it's a popular spot during peak hours, and I can imagine it might be difficult to find available machines at those times. On multiple occasions, the manager has been locked in the office using a personal phone rather than being visible on the gym floor or addressing the condition of the club. Members pay a premium to work out in a clean, well-maintained environment. UFC Gym has great equipment and potential, but the lack of cleanliness, visible management, and attention to detail has significantly impacted my experience. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves the facility for its members.

This is my 2nd year ive been taking lifting serious and it was a perfect level up for me but I feel any level of gym goer can appreciate this place. I've gone at several different times of the day and it still hasn't felt overly crowded. They also have a lot of equipment I've never seen at other gyms before, which is cool. One of my favorite things is that they have two posing rooms with great lighting and really nice floors. The only downside is that the price is a little high, but you do get a lot for it , the gym has 24-hour access and even provides things like free tripods and massage guns to use.

DO NOT SIGN UP HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE IN A FOREVER CONTACT WITH NO WAY OUT. I've sweat more dealing with the billing than I (or anyone else) have ever sweat at a course. They're calling me weekly just to tell me I need to submit a cancellation in writing and apparently emailing and speaking to management is not satisfactory according to them. Really wanted to love this studio and tried it out for a year but there was no improvement for me personally. I wouldn't even sweat at the level 1 class. It was all the same moves for 50 minutes and I still struggled in a real Pilates class. Nobody checks on your progress, you're invisible until payment is due. I stopped going in December 2025 and hadn't heard from the studio until February 2026 where I had a $498 balance due because I didn't cancel with a written notice 30 days before (even though I've cancelled now, I still receive notifications about how much I owe) and the studio wants me to pay for classes I didn't even take. There's no options to pause enrollment, it's either pay for what you're not going to use or cancel your contract and when you want to come back, you have to repay the enrollment fee and the classes. I wouldn't recommend any club Pilates studios. Waste of time and nobody sweats at these classes. Other Pilates studios actually give you a real work out and make you sweat.,

I was very unhappy with this fitness center…read more A friend of mine purchased the 3 week trial for me. I was very excited. I went and had an initial consultation where they weighed you, checked body fat etc. I was happy to get the information. After my 3rd session I asked when my trial exp. I wanted to come back and work out the next day. The trainer was too busy and said she would have Vicki (the front desk woman) call me the next day. She did not call me. I called 3 times and never received a call back. This was a few weeks ago. I was waiting on reviewing in hopes they would return my calls but that clearly isn't happening. I was told I would be re weighed and they would check my body fat at the end of the 3 weeks to see my progress. They did not. I did consider purchasing a membership of my body fat results were good but I'll never know. I was really excited to see if I made any progress. Honestly, for them to just blow me off and not return my calls was both rude and unprofessional. I was very dissapointed and sadly, could not in good consciousness reccomend them.

The trainers are invariably on time, organized, cheerful and helpful. Every second of the 45-minute classes is filled; every day is a different workout, and everyone who sticks with it for more than a couple of weeks makes immense progress. This goes for the "400-lb middle aged woman" someone described, but it also goes for triathletes and Spartan Race participants (many of whom train through True North.) The owners, Shannon and Rob Yontz, make sure the workouts are geared to the fitness level of the members, no matter what their fitness level (or lack of fitness level) is. Can't close without mentioning that I have made many good friends through True North, and they are yet another reason you should check it out.
