Grange Shopping Centre in Birkenhead offers a wide variety of small and larger shops, coffee shops…read moreand cafes, electronic stores, bakeries and much more. What I like most about this shopping centre is that there even some independent small businesses here. It's not ALL Sayers, the O2 Shop, Home Bargains, et al. Another neat thing about this particular shopping centre is the exceptionally large amount of charity shops you will find here. If you love bargain hunting, second hand book browsing, and vintage/rescued clothing, you'll have a blast perusing the wares in the many different charity shops here. I find it difficult to drag myself away. Of course if you do prefer the chain stores, and the big names, you will find some of them here, as well as in the Pyramid Shopping Centre just next door.

The prices are reasonable, although "bankrupt" implies something on par with poundland, its not quite that cheap, but you'll find a bargain. I'm not sure whether a delivery servce is available as lots of the items are quite large and bulky I should think there would be.

They sell everything from candles and cards to home décor and furniture, and the variety they offer is enough to keep you happily poking around for a while. I loved the shabby chic furniture, like the wood hutches and side boards, and the cute animal decorations like the colourful cat mobile I spotted, and some plush chickens that would look really great in a farm themed kitchen, or on a window sill. The prices are very reasonable, and if I weren't so hard up myself, I could easily have come home with five or six little decorative items and not spent more than £40. My friend found some really great prints of photos and paintings and wound up buying one to add some color to her living room. The prices were really reasonable for the size of artwork, and there were some pretty quirky choices if your style of art tends toward fun, conversation pieces. I'll definitely be having another poke around next time I'm over that way.

Staacks recently moved to a larger premises at 83 Banks Road and has a cute little coffee shop at the back. Fabulous place to have a little mooch around or to find that perfect little birthday gift. Here you'll find everything from original paints and hand carved sculptures to baby gifts and shabby chic and country kitchen style home décor. Some of the items I saw for sale: shell necklaces, original art and signed prints of paintings, knitwear, earrings, handbags, stuffed owl decorations, tea pots, and cute mugs. This is definitely a great place to visit if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for a special lady in your life, whatever her age. It's another one of those places I could have poked around in for an hour if I'd had the time. If you love artsy stuff, you'll leave wishing this shop was your living room. Staacks also hosts occasionally open house events including art shows. For more information about the shop or events, visit the Web site: www.staacks.co.uk.

The holiday decorations that are out right now are beautiful at night! I've been here at least 3x now but still haven't seen everything! When walking through the arcade, you'll pass by many classy shops which you probably won't go into unless you're prepared to spend a fair amount. By inspection, all areas of the arcade are well looked after and has good security with CCTV installed. I find Keys Court a relaxing place to walk through as it is always less congested than main streets. This definitely one of my favourite parts of town.

This place has more upmarket shops than places such as St.Johns and is generally the kind of place people tend to visit when they are in the mood to spend a bit of hard earned cash. The place is always kept clean and tidy and there is often a visible security presence meaning that you can have the confidence to shop without concern as you are made to feel very safe and relaxed. The aesthetics here are good and it is another reason that natives of Liverpool have to be proud of their city centre which in general is kept in immaculate condition by a hard working team and an excellent council.

Talking of which, parking being the only tricky part (places are at a premium on Banks Rd, where double-yellow lines abound) its maybe easier to park at 'Morrisons' supermarket near the marina, and walk back.
