Located near the Royal Albert Dock, this shopping center boasts a number of eateries and stores for you to get those steps in as you enJOY your day. The holiday decorations that are out right now are beautiful at night! I've been here at least 3x now but still haven't seen everything! Great deals are to be found pretty much anywhere you go out here. I'm a sucker for deals, so I have to pace myself, lol. The people are nice and so are the employees in the stores. I was ecstatic when I discovered this outdoor shopping center in Liverpool, UK. Tbh, there is not much to do in Liverpool unless you enjoy watching football or are a resident here. This shopping mall is HUGE and has many floors that are accessible via stairs or escalator. Seems like a great place to come for your every day needs and even for special occasion wants. They have luxury brand stores & more casual clothing stores. Lots of different coffee shops here, as well, lovely for a pick me up while doing some shopping! By the Starbucks, there are stairs with each step covered with turf that made for a pleasant area to sit and rest before getting up to shop again or just walk around. read more

This place has literally everything you could want in a shopping center (centre?). Anything you are looking for can be found here. It is large, ranging from block and blocks of shops, restaurants, and other places that draw you with their lights, music, and even smells. It's Thanksgiving time back home, but plenty of pre-Black Friday sales are on. It's funny to see Black Friday. This place is just a huge spanse of stores. It's plenty of room to walk in, and people watch if that's what you're into. Surprisingly it's not the busiest place per square inch, but you'll find plenty of folks making their way through the stores and the streets looking for gifts or just hanging out. At this time the grounds are lit up with tall lit up reindeer, trees, and torches. It's very nice to look at and enjoy. read more

Located just across from Albert Dock near the train station, Liverpool ONE is a giant outdoor shopping mall. There are plenty of shops for the average local and plenty more for the tourists from out of town. I walked over to see what the fuss was about, saw the crowds and decided to walk in the other direction. I can shop at home and save my money. The stores are pretty much what you'd find in the States with a few that are exclusive to the UK. I did find a post office at the WHSmith so that was helpful. There are directories strewn about so it wasn't hard to find. It's wide and safe to walk through day or night since it's lit up brightly. I'd rather spend my time in one of the nearby museums or cafes if my time was limited. read more

The Liverpool ONE development is still in its infancy, but has already become a very popular place to shop in Liverpool. It is situated near the Albert Dock, close to the waterfront. It is open air which gives it a comfortable feeling as opposed to claustrophobic enclosed shopping centres. It is well designed, tidy and well maintained. The security here is excellent. There is CCTV throughout and there are security guards on duty, who also act as customer service assistants who are there to answer any questions you have. There is a large carpark below the development which is very convenient for carting bags back to. It is also next to the Paradise Street bus station so it has excellent transport links. There is a good mixture of shops in Liverpool ONE. There are shops for children such as the Disney Store and Build a Bear, and there are shops for adults to buy clothing, cosmetics, home wares and electronics. There is also a good mixture of price ranges with the shops. There are inexpensive shops like Peacocks, and more pricey shops like All Saints. There is something to suit everyone here. read more

If you've ever seen me in any way you'll realise just how much I detest shopping. Just look at my awful clothes and lack of stuff bought from anywhere but the internet. There's the old cliche that being dragged aimlessly around shops by a girlfriend is torture for the regimented mind of a man. Well I'm like that, except worse. I'd lose patience on a trolley dash. To me, Liverpool One will always provoke the same response, "Yeah it's really nice. I won't ever go there though." Filled to bursting with intolerably glossy shops and people I have no intention of ever knowing, the false street set-up is a good place to push all those chain stores the papers assured me we needed before the 2008 Cap o' Cul phenomenon descended on us. So long as they're away from me. I'm torn between giving the whole place one star and bitterly condemning it as the Himalayas of consumerism, or giving in and admitting that if you're a normal human being, you'll probably like it. Three stars it is. Another shred of integrity sold off to the lowest bidder. Go me. read more

To me, this has always been a symbol of exactly what went wrong with the Capital of Culture fiasco. It's the very definition of bland, of 'OK', of generic. Every shop is the same as everywhere else and the interesting, unique and quirky side of Liverpool is nowhere to be found or represented. The culture of the city has no voice here. It is always busy, to the point of intense frustration. For good and bad, it has pushed most of the shoppers to the one area of town. Bold Street used to be the heart of the city in many ways and it is only quite recently that it is recovering from the gutting that Liverpool One dealt it. It is somewhat saved by having a good selection of restaurants and a lot of screens at the Odeon. Is that all we really need and want, however? Methinks not... If this IS the type of experience you're after, however, then this will probably be the place to be. read more

Liverpool One has been open for a while now, and every time I go there I'm still surprised by how lovely and shiny and new this pantheon to capitalism looks. But, at the end of the day, when you take away all of the glass and the glitter, it's just another shopping centre. Granted, it's got practically every shop under the sun there (including a rather spiffing branch of John Lewis's), and some rather OK chain restaurants and eateries, but you could find most of these in any Arndale Centre in the country. One of the most disturbing things for me about Liverpool One is the negative effect it is having on some of the other independent retailers situated close by. There are some great little stores situated in Cavern Walks and around Bold Street, but these are being slowly pushed out by the big boys of Liverpool One. It would be a shame if the great creative and independent spirit of the city was erased by a huge behemoth of commerce. But still. If you're ever in Liverpool and want to buy a nice pair of knickers or a smashing new handbag, this is the place for you. read more

Ok so this is a shopping mall as apposed to a single shop but that said it is a 'being' all of it's own and if you know Liverpool but haven't been or seen Liverpool One then your in for quite a shock; I thought I knew Liverpool but this place has opened it right up and I had to admit I even got lost! Liverpool One bridges the gap between the city centre and the Albert Dock - with LOTS of shops and restaurants, it houses all the big names you'd expect, although a big draw back is that it does so at a cost, about £8 if you want to spend any decent time there, which compared to the likes of the Trafford Centre that does it for free is an ask. So why not less stars? Well... this place is really, really nice, of course it's clean and tidy and all brand spanking new! But it also has a real atmosphere to it (unlike the likes of the Trafford Centre) it has a park and has touches of the old dock that was sited on the land before, you can look down a tunnel to part of it and other parts have been reclaimed and used as part of a water feature (on the walk way to the Albert Dock). It's really well thought out and I love how a lot of the restaurants look out onto the park and further to the docks. I was really impressed, whether I'll be back in a hurry...we'll have to wait and see. read more

Living in Liverpool i think that Liverpool one is superb, i visit it often and look forward to the new shops opening all the time, years ago to get from church street to Albert dock was too much of a walk so no one did really without busing it. now it's just brought everything closer together. its clean BUT not enough ashtrays around what a shame to see cigarette buts on the floor. people smoke! they should have thought of this and on the downside i disagree having to pay to go to the toilet.and the John lewis Q park it so expensive i am sure it would put people off. read more

whilst this re-generation of Liverpool looks very smart and chic at the moment, I cannot help thinking that it is not a good thing for the city. Bringing all the shops down to the waterfront is an excellent idea, but divorces the shoppers from the stores further away, which have supported this city for a very long time. The walkways look brilliant in daytime, but are a little menacing in the dark. They also force a lot of foot traffic to compete for a narrower space. I wait to reserve my judgement on this one. read more

Liverpool One is the newly refurbished shopping area of the city with more than 130 stores to choose from including all the big fashion names like Top Shop and Monsoon, toy stores like Disney and The Entertainer, as well as necessities for the more geeky/scholarly types like Waterstones. You can also get coffee here at Starbucks, eat out at one of dozens of restaurants like Red Hot World Buffet, Pizza Hut, or Nandos, and visit the new Odeon cinema. This is definitely the busiest shopping area now, since it's been redone in the last few years. While some of the other malls and shopping quarters are suffering because of the footfall relocating to this area, it's definitely worth it for shoppers because Liverpool has so much more to offer now. If you're planning a trip to Liverpool, you'll definitely want to spend some shopping time here. read more

Liverpool One shopping centre is a beacon of all that is great about the city of Liverpool and really is a shining light at the heart of this great city. This place stands toe to toe with the best shopping centres across the country and its location not far from the fantastic echo arena and the Albert docks is stunning and means that a visit here is always an absolute pleasure. There is a fantastic range of shops and restaurants and generally brilliant facilities and a trip here can turn into an all day experience which you could choose to finish off with a quiet drink or even a trip to the cinema and then a bite to eat. This place is always clean and well kept and is beautifully run with a high security presence making you feel safe and comfortable whilst perusing the many delights. At first I thought this shopping centre was a big disappointment, however it turned out that I only saw about 10% of it. On a second visit it is really good; it looks absolutely amazing it's like being in an European city rather than the old Liverpool's St John's Arcade. The shops are the same high street shops you'd find in any city centre, so still no small boutiques but Cavern Walks across the round has some small but expensive boutiques. It remains to be seen what will happen to the rest of Liverpool city centre and the shops that didn't move into the area. But it's a good shopping day out with some nice eateries. read more

Liverpool one is really good. It has an Odeon cinema there, a wide range of restaurants, such as Yo Sushi, Cafe Rouge, Nandos, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, etc. The John Lewis is also really good and some of the shops such as Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, Apple, Office, etc, are really welcome additions to Liverpool's shops! I do also wonder what will happen to the rest of the shops, such as the shops on bold street, as a lot of chain shops have relocated to L1 and there are even 2 of some shops now, such as Waterstones, La Senza and Faith. read more

Nice shiny new and I like the way it isn't covered like a bog standard mall. I can't help feeling it is a little dull and lacking the aspirational retailers that Liverpool deserves. It's all a bit mid-market. No Selfridges, no Harvey Nics, no Space NK, no Muji, no Habitat no niche fashion stores just a lot of stores selling the same boring old mid market clothes like Republic, Cult and Bench. As someone else rightly pointed out a lot of shops are duplicated elsewhere. Give me Bold Street any day for somewhere with a bit if soul and the fantastic FACT cinema. read more

Liverpool One has certainly changed the face of Liverpool. It has both its positives and its negatives of course. It's been a huge boost to Liverpools shopping scene, which previously came nowhere near to rivaling that of Manchester. However, Liverpool can now certainly hold its own in terms of great shopping. The layout and design are really well done, and it has a very open and spacious feel. I like the way it has been designed with an outdoors feel to it, rather than just another covered shopping mall. There are some great shops and restaurants in here, especially places like Las Iguanas, Barburrito, John Lewis and Debenhams. The Liverpool One Odeon is great, far better than the old London Road one, much more central and easier to access. However, it is very disappointing to see that parking is so expensive. There is nowhere in Liverpool to park for free or even at a cheap price. I would have hoped that Liverpool One could at least have offered some perks such as free Sunday parking. Also, although it's a great centre, it is very commercial. There's no independent stores, they are all chains. It is a bit of a heartless, faceless shopping experience,no individuality or personality. Overall it's great to see Liverpool being improved, but there still remains room for further improvement. read more

I thought this new shopping complex was great. Some great new stores there and seems to link the old town to the new area. They have created a great walk through alley through what used to be the old Top Shop which brings you out by the Liverpool One complex. I like the fact that it is not too far away from the other stores which have not moved to the new complex. The design is great and interesting - very modern and definitely worth a visit. Plenty going on and a great vibe whilst you are there. read more

This is new in Liverpool since the last time I was there. Superb shopping centre - really up market. It is nice that you are not completely closed in and still get the effect of the elements but still have some shelter. The Christmas decorations were really cool - the biggest paper chains I have ever seen. Its also really handy to all the other shops and not completely removed as some shopping mals are. read more

Liverpool One is an excellent addition to Liverpool's city centre and has been planned out well linking it almost seemlessly into the established Church Street/Lord Street retail areas. There are two huge department stores, John Lewis & Debenhams not to mention a whole heap of other stores like Monsoon, Disney Store, HMV, Waterstones etc. There is an Odeon cinema and plenty of places to eat too like Nandos (favourite!!), Yo Sushi, Pret a Manger.. the list is too long to go on. I love wandering round at lunchtimes and cannot wait for the weather to get warmer to take advantage of the parkland areas for a picnic. Although its a shame that it wasn't fully finished for our capital of culture year the ongoing building works have been kept to minimum disruption for shoppers whilst stages are completed. read more

My feelings for this new development are postive overall; I mean, Liverpool needed some shiny new shops and entertainment/eating establishments, especially near to the Albert Dock and Echo Arena/BT Convention Centre complex and Cavern Quarter; maximise on tourism. However, a fair few of the shops are just the same as we already had; there are 2 other Superdrugs within 10 minutes' walk of the new one, another 2 Mobile, and another Vodafone 5 minutes away, as well as Monsoon/Accessorize also being near and another HMV, All Saints, La Senza and Zavvi. Nonetheless, there are some good and welcome additions such as Republic, Debenhams, Urban Outfitters, Puma, a better John Lewis than we used to have, Radley and in terms of food, we now finally have a Yo Sushi, a nice new Odeon, and a Wagamama amongst others. It was a long time coming but I think it is a little dull having just so many duplicates of shops we already had and still have in the area. Also, it is not covered/sheltered, so you do get wet in the rain, which is not good. You are also expected to pay to use the toilets, needless to say you can get these facilities for free in the department stores or restaurants anyway. There is room for improvement but it's a start and it's a place I enjoy. I hope to see some of the duplicate stores close one or so of their locations and get something new in their place, and I am also curious to see what the new shops which are still not open, will be. read more

Wow, this place is fantastic. Lots of good shops all in one area. It brings the albert dock closer and the views from the top of liverpool one are worth a visit. Cinema complex on site and lots of new restaurants to eat in although booking of a weekend is recommended. read more
