This is one of the few shops in bedford that I pop into regularly and I never fail to leave with a bagful of books (most of which will no doubt sit unread on my bookshelf for years).
As with most charity shops you can't really walk in with a specific book in mind unless the book in question has been a mainstay on the GCSE or A-Level syllabus that is. If however you're entering with an open-mind then you can pick up anything from a guide to greek myths to recent booker prize winners and all for a slice of the price that you would have to pay online (when you add p&p) let alone at high street booksellers.
I also think that books are one of the few articles that are actually better second-hand as you'll often find quirky little notations that add to the charm of the book, throw in the fact that your money is goin to a good cause and there really is no question, go there, have a look, and buy what you like the look of.
