The red cross shop in Stony Stratford is pretty good as a charity shop. They regularly get new…read morethings in so it's worth visiting fairly frequently. It's got all the usual things, clothes, books, dvds, bric-a-brac etc. but they also sell a few red cross branded items like calander, diary etc. They don't over charge for the stuff they're selling recognising that it's better to sell it all cheaply than to only sell a few bits for a lot and have lots go to waste and earn less for the charity. The staff here are really friendly and do their best to help you if you're looking for something in particular too which is nice.

The ladies in the shop were super helpful even though they knew my sister isn't from the area and it was unlikely she'd buy from there. We left empty handed after about an hour in the shop yet armed with tips, ideas and names and websites of shops we could check out.

We were put at ease immediately and we had a wonderful experience. I had two other appointments that day and although the dress did come from this shop, they understood the process, were pragmatic and I couldn't be more happier that the business came back to these lovely ladies. They are a credit to their industry and I would recommend them to anyone. I had limited time to the wedding and they couldn't be more helpful or accommodating. I only wish I had organised my bridesmaids dresses from there - their prices were much less and the service far, far more superior to the other company I used, which only highlighted how fantastic this business is. I spent a lot of time in here when I was pregnant and after, and probably bought up most of its stock of babysuits (well at 10p each who wouldn't?!). I don't get in there as much as I used to nowadays and sadly when I do there's not so much for my daughter now she's bigger but I've still managed to find some really good toys in there for her at under a couple of quid, often including batteries. Some of the staff know me by sight now and it's really nice to be able to chat when I go in. I managed to give a few things to them once although I'm not sure whether they would have made much from the books I gave them, they were a bit niche. This is my favourite of all the charity shops in Stony Stratford as it's like a jumble sale, which I love, being able to dig out a good bargain. The others aren't quite the same.

It's a tiny little shop - forget trying to get a wheelchair in there, you're hard put sometimes to walk round the place with a stick so you'd never get a chair in here. They do their best to keep it orderly, but with such a limited space this place does tend to get a bit well disorganised and messy. It's a good place to look though as there are often odd little things that you can find here.

Very few genuine surplus items. more of a "Millets" with cheap tools…read more They do have some genuine items, Smocks, Norgies etc but very few. used to stock loads of surplus boots but now only keep new, cheapo market style ones. They appear to employ the entire family in the shop who all watch you like hawks in case you nick anything.

We paid £69 for a 2D sexing scan, which was the best price I could find. They were fantastic. The scan room was really big with space and equipment for my 2 toddlers to play while I had the scan. The scan itself was really high quality and they gave us LOADS of high quality photos. The sonographer even printed out a few photos just for my little boys, and she put them in envelopes that read My Baby Brother. It was lovely the way they were so welcoming and friendly towards out children (most places tend to see them as a nuisance) I highly recommend baby bond!

However with this pregnancy I have had a nightmare with booking a scan at 16 weeks for gender and 28 weeks for 4D. The receptionist is an absolute nightmare, she sounds literally hysterical on the phone and twitters on nonsensically with all the options " well if you look on the website you would know" she trilled when I simply asked for the next available 4D scan appointment. Needless to say I couldn't get a word in edgeways and gave up, I will have to try to book on line and just hope she is on a break when I attend the appointment. Never had a problem with the sonographer always felt we received a good professional service. Ditch the nut receptionist or get her some mood stabilisers to calm her down!
