By 9am we were done and ready to go home, people arriving were being turned around as the overflow car park was filled so they were being bused from the park and ride car park way down the road. Bed smart, arrive ridiculously early. Especially if you want Gucci or Prada deals. The queues were already mental before the shops opened. Other than that, some great stores, and have your passport ready for VAT refund services available on the same day you buy all your goodies, don't wait until the airport!

Are we just supposed to intuitively know that the powers-that-be at Tesco, when they say "pasta," they mean all these other things as well? I had to go up and down the aisles, searching for rice noodles or something similar, no employee in sight, finally had to ask a very kind gentleman who was wearing a Tesco jacket but was a driver off-duty doing his own shopping! Get the signage right, hire enough employees to provide a modicum of customer service. 4. overall impression is of a messy, dirty store 5. The ink cartridges deposited for recycling and Clubcard points are either being stolen by employees or handled so incompetently that it amounts to negligence. Why have a program if you cannot run it properly? I deposited 6 over the past three months and was credited for one. This is too much of a repeat experience to be a mere mistake. Tesco, don't annoy your customers with so-called services that you cannot execute properly. Either do the job well or don't do it at all.

Ah The Galleria, a staple of my miss-spent youth. I never really went shopping here because, while it has a fair number of shops, it never really has anything that you want or need. Guess that could be just me. The cinema is where I spent most of my days, chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and watching some films after school. The cinema is average price with student discount and with your standard of sugary rubbish to enjoy while watching a film. The cinema screens themselves are good, the Digital screen is awesome, but the chairs and leg room leave something to be desired. It can get quite uncomfortable if you're a tall and are in a packed screening, but this rarely happens here, which is a other bonus. All in all a good place to while a way a fair number of hours with friends or that special someone.

Although it looks huge it takes hardly any time to go around and has nothing to recommend it in the way of differnt shops. They are the same as any high street. A large open area in the centre was laid out as a furniture vendoes. The stuff was ugly..even tasteless..and overpriced. Quite a few restaurants..untried but mostly the usual chains. The only saving grace, for me, was a pleasant cinema complex where we went to see Stardust. So much anticipation..such a disappointment.

The only thing I can think of to compare this to is the Alameda Point flea market back home-this market is about half the size of that one but chock full of antique treasures. On 2 separate trips I picked up a georgian paste bracelet, a Welsh victorian funeral dome, a taxidermy squirrel, a really well done French oil painting with a Pre-Raphaelite look, a painting of a dog wearing a soldier's uniform, 2 1920s dresses, 10 new old stock bathing beauty statues for 5 pounds each, and this really cool beaded floral banner that came out of a church. Oh and a super rare french jet tiara circa 1910 that I didn't buy the first time and luckily found again on the second trip-it was even missing a piece and the seller dug around and located the missing piece for me! You really have to get here early as a lot of the good stuff is gone by 8 and some of the dealers even start packing up around then. The nice thing is there is a train station on the other side of the parking lot. If you're staying in London you can take the train direct. If you are not coming from London the train is useless before 8 am and it's better to drive in if possible.

OK, so maybe he quite likes it here as well, there is a good range of men's clothing stores as well. The M&S and Debenams are really large and have most of the ranges you'll find in the London flagship stores. There is also your usual Topshop/H&M/Gap/New Look range. What I like most is that I can go buy some bits and bobs and then go to Yo Sushi and have a nice meal to build up my energy again for more shopping in this lovely, clean, modern shopping centre.

No-one I asked, including shopkeepers could tell me the way. In the end we had to walk down two vehicle ramps from level 4 to gain the area where we had parked the car. The stair well door for level three actually delivers one to level four! This was not good for someone who struggles with stairs. The almost complete absence of signs made our egress very confusing.

Popular shops such as Claires Accessories,Game, Gap, HMV,M&S, New Look, Topshop can all be found in Royal Priors. There are also several cafes and coffee shops including Starbucks and Druckers to sit and have a drink whilst you decide what you want to buy. It's a great little shopping centre if you just fancy a browse. For the hardened shopper, it's no Trafford Centre or Bullring, but certainly a nice place to spend a couple of hours.
