I got the banana cream matcha drink as it sounded very unique. It was not bad, but what absolutely ruined it for me were the semi-frozen bobas. Some I could still chew through but others I had to spit out... I don't think I've ever had such an experience at a bubble tea place that is so highly rated. Interior is cute though with a few places to sit. There wasn't anyone else before me so I got my drink very quickly. read more

Milk tea spot along the streets of dtla, easy to miss as it's currently boarded up due to civil unrest. It was my first time trying the spiced milk tea and felt it was unique but only tasted average 6/10. I dont recommend the pudding addon from this place, it's a little too firm and has trouble going thru the straw. read more

Super cute boba spot in DTLA. We parked at the bloc and walked over. They have a bunch of yummy looking boba drinks but they also have ice cream treats! We got a drink and ice cream with brown sugar boba topping. The drink is put into a drink sling for carry away. The ice cream has artificial sweetener but it was still tasty. The brown sugar boba was warm but overall it was too sweet! But honestly I'd get it again haha You order at the screen and the drinks/dessert are made quickly. Service is great. Definitely recommend a try! read more

Stumbled upon this reallyyyy cute boba shop in DTLA during my lunch. The drink is got is the rose milk tea with boba 60% sugar. It's good but it's overly sweet for me. They have so much drink options and I can't wait to go back try the rest! Next time I'll have to get like 25% sugar. But I definitely recommend this cafe! Staffs are so sweet and welcoming. Bright and full of novelties for sell as well as food and boba options. Limited seating but spacious. Mostly order at the kiosk for self service. If you have questions I'm sure the staff will help. Their menu is slightly dense but easy to use. There's specialty drinks and food options. I chose the chai with oatmilk and boba. My boba was packed with an artsy cup holder and a holiday wrist band gift. I will use as a Christmas tree ornament but you can slap it on your wrist for nostalgia or feeling festive. The chai boba was tasty, not an often boba drink so had to try. You can customize your order and add-ons are mostly complimentary except non dairy options. Just having non dairy options is a plus for me. There's no public restroom but there's novelties for sale to gander while you wait for your order. They order screen gives you an estimated time. Limited boba options in DTLA but worry not this is the place to go ! The store is insanely cute with so many little trinkets that you can purchase. Service is so quick with 2 self order kiosk. You can tell they put a lot of care in your drinks- placing ur drink in cute drink holders . Good and authentic tea flavor. Great variety in drinks. I have tried many times in the past to come here but had to go elsewhere because I had no luck with parking. My boyfriend and I had lunch in Chinatown, and I needed my boba, so I told him to drop me off there while I got my takeout. The cafe was very cozy and almost too cute for my taste, but I guess many people enjoy this vibe these days. The order is solely taken at the kiosk, and you just wait for the drink to come out. I ordered a Red Bean Milk Tea. Not many places have red bean drinks, so I had already made up my mind before coming here. My drink was good. It was too sweet, even with 75% sugar, but not too bad. Lots of red beans were settled on the bottom of the cup, and the milk tea itself was pretty fragrant compared to other generic milk teas. The staff was really friendly and professional, which made my experience more pleasant. One thing I did not like was the cup. Most boba shops use a sealing system to seal the drink so it won't spill, but for Owwhoo, the cup and the lid are separated. Because my cup was a bit overflowing, when I tilted the cup to sip, I spilled the milk tea on my white top and pants in the car. I do know that it isn't their fault, but sealing the cup would be much more advisable, in my personal opinion. Nonetheless, the cat-themed dome lid and the meowing sound upon entering and leaving were cute for crazy cat ladies like myself. read more

A very cute cafe. This cafe has the perfect ambiance for a casual date or to study in. There's a lot of seating with couches, tables, and a desk to work at. The drinks here are really good and not too expensive. I got the Lemon Passion Fruit Green Tea and it was only $6.50 including tip. The lemon complemented the passionfruit flavor well and it was so refreshing on a hot summer day. The ladies at the front of the store are so nice. They made the drinks quickly and made recommendations based on our boba preferences. Parking can be a little tricky in the area since it is in Downtown. If you're lucky, there's street parking surrounding the perimeter of the shop, however, it's usually full. There's parking structures around the area, like on Flower St, but it can be a little expensive. I hope you enjoy your experience here! read more

Drink ordered: cocovado Came to this place after visiting my family in LA and was craving some boba. Ordered the cocovado and waited a very long time for the drink to come out. It took around 20+ minutes to make and upon drinking the drink, it was lukewarm. There was not that much taste to it as well. The inside interior was nice and very cozy however and definitely brought a relaxing vibe to the atmosphere. Overall, I had an okay experience but the drink has room for improvement. read more

I was craving ice cream and walking around in the area, and came across this place. The interior is cute AF. They have a wall of cute, unique tchotchkes, gadgets, and jewelry for sale. As a cat lady, I love the cat decor! They have a huge couch and a few tables for lounging or studying. Everything on the menu looked amazing, but I went with the brown sugar boba soft serve. It was ready with a cute bear-shaped spoon and it was incredible. The boba was obviously fresh and had the perfect chewable texture, and the whole parfait wasn't too sweet. I ordered mine with the oat ice cream, which tasted just like dairy. There are a lot of milk alternative and lower sugar options. Would have been perfect, except I'm not crazy about restaurants/cafes that make me order from a touch screen and not a real person. It's so much easier and faster (and more personal) to tell a person what I want, when they know the ordering system so much better than I do. It's also cashless, which is kinda discriminatory and I think might not be legal soon. The products also aren't cheap. My ice cream with tax was almost $8. read more

I just want to start off by saying, hallelujah. I've been saying DTLA needs a quality boba shop and my prayers were finally answered. Staff is always nice and friendly. The drinks speak for themselves. High quality and strong tea taste. They offer brown sugar boba among other toppings. Cute interior with knickknacks that you can buy after purchasing your drink. This place had a lot of tea and coffee options. I got the banana milk smoothie regular size with soy milk and it did not disappoint. The size was rather huge and while I couldn't finish the whole thing, I did like the flavor of the banana as it didn't taste artificial. The service was quick. I was just passing by so I probably wouldn't seek out this place again but wouldn't mind getting something from here if I happen to come again. read more

I highly recommend this boba place. The drinks are so delicious. The inside is really cute and cozy. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and both were amazing. As a boba lover that has tried many boba places this has honestly been one of my favorites. The boba was fresh and chewy, and the tea was very flavorful and clean tasting. What also makes the place special is the people who run it- two sweet women who were friendly and fun. Our drinks came out fast too! You wouldn't know it from the outside but they have a sheik space for people to sit and relax while they drink their tea or work. It's got a nice unique touch to it. Tasty boba cafe so close to my place, this can get dangerous really quickly! My go-to drink is their classic milk tea with boba, 25% sweet, light ice (amount of ice isn't an option, but tell the staff and they'll be able to customize) with regular milk. During a recent work trip to LA, I was walking around downtown when I saw the adorable pink interior of OwWhoo Cafe. From that alone, I knew I had to go in. The entire atmosphere is very cutesy, pink and cozy; I could of sat on their giant couch for hours. I loved the boba themed items they had for sale on the side, the phone accessories were especially cute. To drink I had the taro milk tea with oat milk. It was one of the better taro milk teas I've had as they used real taro. This really enhanced the flavor and it was not overly sweet like the taro from places that use the powder. The staff was super friendly and checked on us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our tea. I will definitely stop by again next time I'm in LA. read more

Stop by this adorable cafe on a Sunday afternoon for a refreshing strawberry passion fruit tea, the bucket was filled with strawberries, lemon slices and mint leaf. It tasted super refreshing for a hot day The service was great, the ladies were so cute and offer my pup some snacks, needless to say both pup and I were very impressed by the service. Cutest boba shop near FIDM. Their drinks are so refreshing and their packaging is the cutest. There's little cat ears on the lid and the spoons have a bear head shape. The owners are these two cute ladies that are super kind! They offer cute gifts on the wall with all sorts of things. Funny hair clips, silly key chains, or cute Lego sets! I got a panda block set ! I would say that around the La Crescenta area, this cafe has the best bobas, teas, and smoothies. I've come here multiple times and was never disappointed in any of the drinks I ordered. I'm always happy with my go-to drink which is the Mango Peach Smoothie. The service is very kind and overall it's a nice small cafe to casually sit and relax at. read more

I absolutely adore this place. I would come more often if I could. First of all, I don't live in the area, but I was in need of some boba before the Genshin Concert. This place was reachable on foot and also had ice cream, which is a plus for an ice cream lover like me! The decor was very cute. I loved how the doorbell was literally a cat's meow coming in and out. It was also very quiet and clean. Moving on, I love the cups. I also really really really like the cute bear shaped spoons that came with the ice cream. I was delightfully surprised to see a tea bag in my drink! Even if the ice in my drink did melt, the tea is still in there steeping. There were two people staffing that day, and they were very patient with me and my friend who both were not sure what to order yet and just stared at the menu until we could. The orders also came out rather quickly, and I thought it was cool how they had a screen showing customers the statuses of their orders. Next time I'm at an event (prolly AX tbh), I'm walking here for my drinks and ice cream xDD read more

This small sandwich chain (from the mind of NorCal native and former Chipotle exec Benjamin Sales) debuted in the Fairfax District, and it has expanded to Orange County and the Valley. Every sandwich at Ghost Sando sports a Dutch crunch roll, and the lineup has achieved TikTok fame. Briefly, Grand Central Market is a semi-outdoor industrial market turned upscale food court. The sky-high walls are painted white, and the concrete floors are slickly polished. Even during the day, only a few rays of sunshine enter through the skylight roof, leaving each vendor's neon sign to pop. During busy hours, expect foot traffic shoulder-to-shoulder through the narrow aisleways. Here, Ghost Sando has a central stall near the wide stairwell. You can't miss the bright teal paint or custom green neon sign. The walls are tastefully decked with hexagon tile and wooden slats. The sandwich production line is front and center, and staff members buzz around even well after the weekday lunch rush. Stools are pressed up against the long stainless steel bar counter, guaranteeing a seat for customers. My partner and I visited Ghost Sando for a weekday lunch, but our food was prepared relatively quickly. Immediately, I was shocked by the sheer density of the sandwiches. Rolled into compact cylinders, the weight could have fooled me into thinking they were bricks. The "Large" size was plenty for even a hefty appetite, but I can't imagine how anyone could tackle the double-topping "XX Large" portions. I also enjoyed the unique Dutch crunch loaf -- consider holding your sandwich upside-down to fully appreciate the crispy shell. Otherwise, the sandwiches were more standard than spectacular. The cold cuts are more like grocery store variety than premium deli, and the veggies are only a step above Subway. I preferred the mildly spicy Firebird to the warm-ish Pastrami Mami, but neither blew my socks off. The service is mostly disengaged, and the sandwiches run from $15 each. Reasonably, a sandwich can be extended across 2 meals. The sandos are mostly standard, but the Dutch crunch rolls are mildly addictive. While Ghost Sando is not a reason alone to pay GCM a visit, it is a filling and reliable bet for routine DTLA lunch.

During a…read morelazy afternoon after visiting the Pantheon in Rome, we had our first experience with All'Antico after taking a 5 minute walk down the road. They actually had 2 separate locations flanking the pedestrian road, so there were two long lines snaking out in opposite directions. While we were waiting in line, we bumped into a couple from Spain who were also visiting. They gave my wife some personal recommendations, advising we get the blood orange soda with our sandwiches. After getting said sandwiches (the La Paradiso), we nibbled on them while walking to Sant'Ignazio of Loyola Church, which is that cathedral where there's a mirror directed up towards the murals on the ceiling and a huge selfie line. Hot damn were those sandwiches good. The thinly sliced mortadella paired perfectly with that buttery, green pistachio spread. The only challenge for my taste buds was the mild oral trauma I sustained from punching through the crispy bread; your gums started to feel it by the time you devoured your sandwich. But we liked it so much that when we later took the train to Florence, we sought All'Antico again at their original location. I thought that would be my last experience with All'Antico (unless, of course, I came back to Italy). So imagine my surprise when later that year I heard All'Antico had coincidentally opened a branch in Los Angeles, although rather awkwardly situated in Koreantown. Even though we live 30 minutes away, we made the drive immediately. There was no way this remote All'Antico location, thousands of miles from Italy, would live up to the experience I had in Rome earlier that year. But I was mistaken. Not only is the taste spot on, but the bread they serve is actually chewier and removed the gum calisthenics I suffered in Italy. And yes, they also have the blood orange soda as well. It's a little weird their location is in Koreatown, but not a big deal; we'll usually do a bingsu run afterward. Just like their locations in Italy, All'Antico is small but they do have a small collection of bar seats, some of which overlook the staff as they're making your sandwich. Be mentally prepared though to take it to go depending on how busy it is. Parking sucks too; there's street parking only, but if you come on Sunday you don't have to pay. Every so often now, we'll make the 30 minute drive just to relive that slice of Italy we experienced nearly 2 years ago. Thankfully, not a lot of people recognize how good this place is yet, as the lines aren't crazy long like they are in Italy. For all the other Yelpers in on it too, let's keep it our little secret for now.
