I'm a big fan of shopping and consigning here. I've bought high end items still brand new for much less than in the stores. It's also saved me from running around last minute for clutch items (e.g.,bought an LL bean snowsuit here the day before a last minute trip to VT). I find consigning to be transparent and fair. I have "donated" numerous boxes of beautiful clothing to this store and never received a dime for my trouble. They never got back to me and I feel if I'd taken the clothing to a local consignment store, or used Poshmark I would have made hundreds of dollars. When on vacation I spent an insane amount of money at Owl Tree, and I truly believed they ran an honest company. Don't be fooled, they take your clothes, sell them and pocket the money. read more

I'm a big fan of Owl Tree and can't help but feel lucky that right as I needed maternity clothes, then of course baby clothes shortly after, they moved to a bigger location. They have high quality second hand items that will both make you feel you're dressing your kid well but also that you're investing in their future by going a more sustainable route. I also love their baby selection. I was tired of sorting though very gendered clothing when picking for my registry online. (Animals are apparently for boys clothes, fyi and eye roll). But owl tree doesn't separate their baby rack by gender and their clothes are much cuter and you can decide for yourself if it suited your child. The staff here is great, one woman took the time to help me navigate baby clothes and how to dress a newborn for winter, which was much appreciated! Pros: big selection of cute kids clothes. That's about it. Cons: -still quite expensive. -Service/kindness of staff isn't anything to write home about. -don't bother consigning with them. They won't take 99% of what you bring in and have as of this month made a "blacklist" of clothing brands they no longer accept. There's like 50 brands on that list and some major names. General consensus - this store is a huge 'meh'. Save money and shop elsewhere. read more

It's hard to think of a better place to shop for kids clothing than Owl Tree Kids. Winter gear, shoes, day to day items, they have the best possible selection at the best prices. I didn't know about them when I was pregnant, but I wish I had since the maternity section is amazing for pieces you'll only need for a few months! The owner Molly is wonderful, as are all the employees there. They will text you photos of items you are looking for - it can't be easier to find what you need. So happy this store exists! read more

Hands down THE BEST place to get children's clothing in all of Brooklyn... any random thing I've ever needed: a snowsuit? A holiday outfit? Waterproof sandals? Real wool sweaters? Chic dresses? Great maternity clothes? They always have it - in really cute options. They just have great taste and a great selection. Amazing top brands like Jacadi, Polarn, Pink Chicken, Crew Cuts, Mini Biden etc., all at really good prices since it's secondhand (though the items are all in new or like-new condition!) I love shopping both secondhand and local, and knowing that it's the best possible choice for the planet - while it's also the best possible choice for my wallet and for making my kids looking adorable. We moved to a different neighborhood and I still make the trip to come here anytime my kids need clothes - this place is the best!! read more

This should always be your first stop for baby, kids and maternity. I have been a fan of Owl Tree since the concept and even more so now! The store is amazing and the customer service is beyond the best! The selection is well curated with anything you could need from basics to high end designers, they have it all, and the prices can't be beat!
