Offering $5 portions of feed, you're able to get hands on with the animals. In addition to the Alpacas, they have two mini highland cows named Ferdinand and Daisy Mae. Each of us left with more than one little treasure.

All of the animals are friendly, and they are especially good with very young children. Our group had a 2 year old, 3 year old and a 4 year old as well as adults. The children are able to interact with the animals and pet them without having any or fear of them getting bit or injured. There is a boutique with a wide range of products, many of the products are made from alpaca wool. You can also purchase a ziplock bag of feed for $5 to feed to the animals. The prices range from $5 and up. For the budget conscious there is a small clearance bin available. I purchased an item for 50% off from it. This business also gives you an opportunity to come and watch an alpaca give birth to their new little baby (cria) The staff here are amazing and are so very kind and gentle with their animals. We were not able to view a birth but got to meet a new baby cria who was born 2 hours before we met him.

Family-owned and operated, with wonderful horses and staff and a variety of activities, BMR goes above and beyond. My friend and I visited again this past week, for the 3rd time over the last several years. And we will certainly return! The scenery is gorgeous and the guest cabins are beautiful, clean, well kept and rustic. The food is delicious--3 excellent meals served each day. They can accomodate various levels of riders and safety is first. The attention to detail and the kindness of the May family as well as their staff, clearly makes this a wonderful experience. I emailed a few times and called and each time I had prompt responses with courteous service and that is big when planning logistics of a trip. The places is family owned and each person that works there shows care for the Ranch, their role there and pride in what they do. The whole family feel made it feel like we were family. We stayed in a "Cabin" which was cozy and lovely for 4 nights. It had a super comfy bed (love the sheets!), fridge and they even accommodated us with a microwave for our personal needs. The best touch was the wood burning stove and we lit fires 3 of the nights even in July which was such a nice touch. They provide everything you need for a fire. The meals were all included and were divine! From the salmon, to the grass fed steak (my fav!) to the unique desserts (chocolate lava cake anyone?) we ate like Kings! It's family style dining as far as you are sitting at tables with other ranch goers which made for lovely conversation. One breakfast was out remote from the kitchen/dining area and we ate on a cliff overlooking sunrise. Pretty special! The views are to die for. From every angle. We even did a 2 mile hike (round trip) to see a waterfall that was remarkable! Tons of wild flowers in every direction. While we did not ride horses, we did enjoy the grounds with sunrises and coffee, the pool over looking the horses and the hot tub! Humming birds whirl Around you all the time and you get tons of pics with chickens and ducks. One of our favorite nights was listening to an acoustic guitar with Cowgirl music played by Caitlyn in front of the lake at sunset!!! Don't hesitate to make this experience happen whether you have a family reunion, honeymoon, vacation or just something new. Lisa, Randy, Patty, Amanda, Spencer and all will help you have the time of your life!

Unfortunately, due to the nearby fires there was heavy smoke everywhere. The owners realized it would be unbearable to stay there and offered us a bridal suite at their recently purchased ranch which is 15 minutes away. After a few rural roads we came upon their place... OMG what a ranch! It was how one would imagine a ranch to be... white fenced sections, horses, wildlife, stables, lots of well-kept acreage with many large shady trees also many apple trees. A beautiful huge main house to one side, the bridal suite across the driveway very privately surrounded by beautiful lawns and trees with lots of shade. One of the family members took us on a tour around the 21 acres and as the ranch name suggests, they have a huge red barn along with stables, corrals, ponds, more B&B suites, just amazing! It had a perfect reception hall that opens to a vast lawn, this with a complete bar, bandstand; this is a perfect place for a wedding. The entire place was super clean and well kept. Our mornings were very relaxing... peacefully quiet but for the soothing soft breeze through the trees. Breakfast on our private patio was a treat and did I mention the delicious coffee? Luis and Kristine along with their wonderful family were so welcoming and are the warmest of hosts, one and all. We really enjoyed their company. This ranch is a perfect place for a wedding, family reunion, retreat or whatever! We look forward to coming back very soon. We loved it and you will too!
