Owl Cleaners' staff are so polite and helpful! I have been a customer for 7 years now (I just moved to Pittsburgh 7 years ago.). If I don't pick up my laundry right away they are so patient with me! I don't want to go to any other cleaners. I am a loyal customer because of the quality of care with all staff. I especially love Sandy, their taylor!! She is wonderful and friendly. Her work is exceptional no matter what I present. She is willing to take on any project I ask of her, like adding pockets. I enjoy working with her. This review is for Sandy, their tailor. It was a little hard to track her down as she apparently works at different locations on different days of the week, but I'm glad I did. I called the Allison Park location on a Monday morning looking for some dress alterations by the end of the week. After a small game of telephone, I got in contact with Sandy at the Cranberry location. Despite being very busy, Sandy was able to fit me in later that morning in Cranberry. The dresses have pockets in the exact area she would normally take them in at, so she used another technique along the back of the dress (I forget the name), so that the pockets wouldn't be affected. Sandy kindly offered to bring the dresses to Allison Park location for pickup, which is much closer for me. Finally, while the estimate for pick up was Friday at 4pm, I was surprised to receive a text that the order was done the next day (Tuesday). read more

I have never given a poor review, however, if I could give them 0 stars I would. The alterations lady was beyond disrespectful to me and messed up my dress and claimed thats how the dress was. I am a bridesmaid in a wedding and everyone is wearing the same dress. No one else had this issue and their dresses look normal. I dropped my dress off in the beginning of February for alterations and had to go in 5 times and just picked it up and it's almost May and the dress is the exact same from when I dropped it off. Good aftenoron Be for warned, this establishment is the most expensive place to have your clothes cleaned. They removed all of the cleaning instruction from my shirts and charged me for dry cleaning instead of laundered at $10.50 a shirt, slacks were $12 a piece. I ask for medium for the shirts and received none, the collars were still dirty, the slacks had not crease in the legs. Imagine going to pick up 5 pairs of slack and 10 cotton shirts and being charged $145.83 I will never darken their threshold again. They are ok for general dry cleaning. Customer service is certainly lack-luster and no frills. Repairs here are terrible though. I just brought in a skirt for a simple repair on a seam. Their seamstress did not repair the lining and did not line up the fabric that he/she did sew. They wanted to charge $10 for that. When I pointed out the terrible work and that I actually need to get it redone, they charged me $5 (for essentially nothing). No apologies, no offers to provide better service - same blasé customer service as usual. Needless to say, I'm no longer willing to put up with their mediocrity just for the convenience of proximity. read more

I've had very good service at Owl Cleaners, locations in Cranberry Township and Warrendale PA. Not only have they cleaned various items, their tailor has improved multiple types of clothing including children's wear, winter coat, pants, etc. Most recently, I took the flag from my father's 1979 burial at Arlington National Cemetery to be pressed, and Owl Cleaners cleaned it and pressed it for NO charge. I am so grateful to them for honoring my father in this way. I highly recommend this business. read more

They used to be the best cleaner around, but a few years ago they started ruining my quality clothing. I would take items in and they would come back looking like they were 100 years old. I stopped using them and started using Ruby's. However, Ruby's was bought out and I wasn't quite satisfied so I started using OWL again. For the most part, they've done well. However today, I got back two relatively new dress pants, that looked like they had been through the war. The black pair even had the die missing in spots. It was very obvious that the clothes were mishandled and over processed. I expected more from a "premium" cleaner who charges "premium" prices. I would be very leary of using them ever again. They are too inconsistent and when they get it wrong, the clothes are ruined. read more

Ridiculously expensive and lousy customer service!! I use the dry cleaner and the alterations service weekly. The cost for the alteration is fairly high (more expensive than other places), but I allowed for it because to be able to have both services in one place. I had a comforter and shams (weighing about 48 pounds) cleaned a few weeks ago at the cost of $42. However, I had forgotten the bedskirt so I brought that in for cleaning a week ago. This morning I picked up my overpriced alteration; but I was even more was shocked to find that they were charging me $27 just for a 4 pound bedskirt!! The young man at the front called the manager. I heard her tell him, "that sounds about right". I told her that was too high,(explaining the cost for the comforter), they need to bring that down. She said "no". I told him to let her know they just lost a customer and she responded: "who cares". I won't go back and don't recommend anyone else does. Why should we support these greedy crooks!! read more

Do not leave you clothes here, they discriminate and charge you more based on where you buy your clothes! They told me this at the store after I complained about the fees (100$ for 9 pieces of clothes, one was a tank (Nordstrom) that cost more than my jacket (Talbots) - none were silk or stained!). No price list either make sure to ask for a quote!!! 1. They charge you extra depending on the tags in your clothes. So if you buy a silk shirt at Walmart you will get charged less than if you buy a silk shirt at Talbots. 2. Two times I gave gotten my clothes back and they smell (as if they never change the solution) 3. Discounts are not applied correctly ever, then when you complain they try to credit you owl account not refund your money!! read more

I went here for my first time to get a few items pressed and a spot clean on a pair of pants- the clothes were perfect - no issues. Did have a slight scare when the spot-clean paints were not in with the other items, but the employee called me as soon as they were located and I didn't have to pay for the pants- I thought that was very nice - I would definitely go back here. read more

Horribly overpriced seamstress! I will never use them again $30 for a very simple hem job. No lining. Couldn't have been easier. My mom pays less for much more detailed alterations in Texas. The alteration was more than the dress costs. My fault for not asking them first, but I feel taken. Will never use them again for anything. read more

Dry cleaning pants were not ready for pick up time. Cleaners' register worker stated that happens every week. She was loud, rude and unapologetic. Buttons were torn off pants during the dry cleaning process and were mended; however, pants were not clean and were wrinkled on retrieval. Owl in Cranberry ( every Owl cleaners really) lost my business and many others who I discussed this situation with. Customer service at Owl was obsolete and they are expensive without a coupon. read more
