Since we aren't in that area frequently, we thought we'd give it a try. It is located within a block of the town square towards the Arts Center building. There is a large parking lot across the street from the restaurant that is free on the weekend. There is also plenty of nearby street parking. As they only opened in the last couple of months, the restaurant does not have their permanent sign yet. They do have a banner, but the sign above the entrance references some former business (SNM?). Also, from the sidewalk, the storefront is glassed-in areas flanking central recessed doorway. They have not added tables yet in the glass areas, so it initially appeared almost vacant. However, we could see an 'open' sign on the door. We entered and were seated quickly. There was at least one party already there, and a couple of other groups followed shortly after we did. The interior has two rows of tables with the kitchen off to the right. The left wall is a large expanse of old exposed brick with some faux plants accents. Their background music was interesting - sort of a coffee house light jazzy covers of a variety of disparate songs - Michael Jackson to Jefferson Starship - sung by a sort of faux Natalie Merchant. Nothing wrong with it, just unusual. The menu has Thai food on one side and sushi / Japanese food on the other. My wife opted for some sort of sushi roll, which she really liked. I tend to go for Pad Thai on my first visit to a new Thai place. It is a good baseline dish to gauge them by. In this case, they did well! Everything was quite flavorful and I finished it. Prices were around $18 - $20 per entree. As I said, we don't make it over to Carrollton that frequently. However, I'll definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit.
