I needed a malfunctioning window repaired. They finished the job by the end of the same day that I called them. I have done business with them before, and they always have done great work. read more

Very busy , so does that mean they're good? It was the only automotive repair location approved by DMV Salvage car inspection! They are knowledgeable and do good work! They have Charlie at the front desk who is a professional, knowledgeable & polite! They have been in business for a while. I think personally recommend them! Pricing seems ok. read more

Owens gives the best treatment in all aspects of car repair. Oil changes..piece of cake. They check your tires, add fluid when needed and make sure you are safe on the road. Great personal service, pretty accurate quotes on repairs. read more

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. They completely failed to disclose a diagnostic fee upfront, which only showed up after they diagnosed the problem with my car. When we questioned it, they insisted they had told us the price beforehand--which is simply not true. This kind of lack of transparency and honesty is unacceptable. Customers deserve clear communication about costs before any work is performed, not surprise charges and then being told they were "informed" when they weren't. They even stated they recorded my phone call with them without letting me know. Then when asked to hear the recording the salesperson Anthony stated " we would need the owners permission to listen to the recording" still waiting to hear from the owner. Very disappointing experience. I won't be coming back, and I suggest others proceed with caution. read more

This place is great. I've been able to call them and easily drop my car off and they can diagnose the problem the same day or next. As someone who knows nothing about cars or car repair, I've never felt taken advantage of. They're very friendly and explain the issues. I will always bring my car here. read more

I'm happy with Owens Automotive. I've been using another repair shop, but I wanted to take a break from them because of a few issues. So I'm giving Owens an opportunity to take on some more expensive maintenance work down the line. I had an alignment done and an oil change. I dropped my suv off at 8am and picked it up around 11am. What I really liked was that Owens was able to use full synthetic oil for my suv. My other mechanic only did blended synthetic but charged about the same as full synthetic. Summation - Communication was good, the price was fair, and I would come back for repair work Negative - The only issue is that they have no parking. When you arrive, you just have to park in any available area on their lot. read more

I had an issue with my car that took a while to figure out, Owens found the problem and repaired it. not only were they extremely reasonable my car runs better than it has in years! I will never go anywhere else for car repairs read more

I am so thankful to the neighbors on Nextdoor that recommend Owens Automotive for car repairs. My daughter has an older car and she loves it but it's beginning to show its years and needing work done. Like many people, I haven't had the best of luck with car repairs and have been left feeling jipped but when I've left Owens her car drives better than when we left it, the work is completed in a very reasonable amount of time and cost is fair as well. Very thankful to have had this place recommended!! read more

Reeks of new ownership, We have been going to Owens for years, Now they are -oh so professional, lacks common sense, and customer relations. All of a sudden "we don't take checks" from old customers. - There are small shops closer to where we live. - so bye-bye, big shots. I spent my last 2800.00 there for just that reason. read more

I've used this place for 20 yrs on and off. Mostly for difficult things orhers shops wavered on. Don't know if the place has been sold, but a recent visit took me by surprise when I was told I'd have to pay a $150 diagnostic fee. Good enough, provided the fee went to repairs. I have after-market premium repair coverage with a $250 deductible. Had I proceeded, I would have paid the diagnostic and deductible, unlike every other place where the diagnostic was going towards the repair. Seemed excessive given I have full coverage for the repair. I heard the story " I've been doing this for 20 yrs" yaadee yadee. I've been a good customer twice as long, so I walked. read more

Talked to Justin about my 2005 Nissan Titan truck about 2 months ago. It was over heating going up big hills with my camper and trailer on it. Brought it in and they went through everything from A-Z. Replaced the radiator, fan clutch, thermostat and some hoses. I have been to the desert on the 8 freeway up all of those huge hills back and forth twice now. The truck is running cooler and better than it ever has! No overheating and it runs much cooler even when it was super hot outside. THANK YOU Owens for taking care of all the problems A-Z quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend you guys to anyone that wants honest mechanics that are very reasonable also. read more

Owens Automotive - Smaller 2005 Nissan Titan runs GREAT now! - Auto Repair Near Me - Escondido, California

It's been 6 months since I got a replacement radiator for my Infiniti G35 from Owens, and I have had no problems at all. I dropped off my car in the morning, luckily their supplier had a radiator available and delivered that same day, and my car was ready an hour earlier than expected. Very personable, friendly service, both from Allen who took my car in the morning, and from John who checked me out at the end. I definitely will go back if I need any future work done, it's so nice to find a great auto repair shop. read more

This review is long overdue. We've been taking our cars to Owens for 25 years! I recommend them to everyone as they are so honest. Allen is the nicest person you've ever met. My husband and I never mind taking our cars to the their shop because we get to see Allen. He's knowledgeable and has even guided our vehicle purchases several times. Justin will go above and beyond for you. My daughter has an extended warranty on her Honda Civic. Justin fought to have components covered that the warranty company was trying to exclude. John welcomed you warmly. We love everyone at Owens. You can't go wrong taking your car here. These people really care. read more

I can't recommend this repair shop enough. If you want good honest mechanics who know what they're doing, go to Owens. I took my 2008 Ford Focus in for an engine service, brake trouble, and a noise it would make when I would make a turn. Justin and Allen diagnosed it on the spot and took excellent care of it for a reasonable price while I was away at work. They also used very quality parts! My little Focus drives like a dream now and I couldn't be more stoked! I'm happy to have finally found a exceptional local mechanics that I can trust. These gentlemen know what they're doing. They don't try to upsell or swindle you. They give you the honest truth and fix the issues. They also give amazing customer service. Take your car here, you won't regret it! Thank you, Allen and Justin! read more

I take my vehicle over to Owens Auto every year for general maintenance, and once to replace a radiator. I have not had any issues with the work performed on my still running 1993 Toyota T100. I am extremely happy with the service they provide. I once had a light come on in my dashboard of my Toyota Camry that said check engine. They ran the diagnostic (free of charge) and told me that the gas cap was not properly secured. He tightened down the gas cap, and told me to have a good day. The prices are reasonable, and I just don't have enough good things to say about these guys. They are extremely professional, and the proof that they are so great is how long they have been in business, and the fact that they never seem to be short of work. read more

I have been going to Owen's for nearly 10 years now. They have taken care of my 1996 Camry Stationwagon with 230,000 miles on it, and it still runs great, thanks to John and Allen. Just a plain honest shop that you can't find these days. John and Allan are stand up guys and this shop gets the job done. I was referred to this shop by a friend that told me without hesitation that you need to take your cars here for now on. Good old fashioned service! We were in search of an AC person. The local shops were unable to fix the ac correctly. During the initial phone call, John asked me specific questions, and then answered all of mine. We took the car in, and true to his word-John got us in right away. The car was completed in less then two hours. He called me and explained what he had done. The charges were nominal too. Driving it back to Temecula, I actually had to keep turning it up, which is a refreshing change!! Both John and Allen are professional and courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure doing business with them! On a side note, the shop was clean and well organized. Best of all, our car was fixed properly!! Look forward to doing business with this company in the future! read more

My mom and dad have gone to Owen's for decades!! They are super professional, reliable AND BRILLIANT with cars. My parents don't go anywhere else. I was telling my friend about Owen's, and she said HER parents always go there too!!! They're very friendly and thoughtful too. When my dad wasn't doing very well, the guys would come out to the car and chat with him, and see how he was doing. He has since passed away, and the guys ask my mom how she's doing whenever they see her. They even put former friends/customers memorial pictures and programs up in a special area in their shop. Places like Owen's are rare these days. This shop is really GREAT, and I just had to share. read more

I was visiting my family in SD 2 weeks after getting a crappy maintenance service at Toyota in Santa Ana, when I noticed an oil leak. Tried to take my car to a place around the corner from Owens (by virtue of them having many more positive reviews); however, the place was booked until the next day. The employee there recommended Owens instead. I have to admit that I didn't have the highest expectations, but the guys who helped me at Owens really impressed me. They were prompt, putting my car on the lift within the hour and calling back soon to let me know that the people at Toyota had not replaced the cap on the oil filter tightly enough. They topped off my oil and properly replaced the cap, with no charge to me. It's been over a year since I've written a Yelp review, but I greatly appreciated their time and honesty, and want to recommend Owens to anyone else in need of car repair. read more

Highly recommend this mechanic. Went down the street and they were to busy today and referred me to Owens. The staff was friendly and straightforward. I would say they are the honest mechanics unlike others in the industry. Their pricing is a little high for a oil change but they advised me in advance that their oil changes aren't cheap as others. I figured because I'm getting my radiator replaced, might as well use the same business and knock out both services and save me time. read more

Took my truck in to get the brake light switch stopper replaced. The gentleman who looked at it went and came back with an excellent replacement for it and told me how easy it was to install it myself. He didn't charge me for the plastic clip either.
