We were instructed over the phone by the host on how to trip one breaker so the outside switch would stop smoking and popping while keeping the fridge inside on because they were all tied in together. It took them 2 days to get an electrician out. He showed up at 5pm the day before we were leaving, just as we were about to walk out for dinner. We had to wait an hour for him to leave. Just for him to tell us that the wiring was done wrong and he wasn't comfortable fixing it so he just left it tripped. We've been waiting for weeks for the owner to respond to a refund request. All they keep telling us is that the owner is out of town. Mind you, they have not stopped renting this place out. People rented it the same night we left. We've always used air bnb and only tried this because, to be honest, it was a little bit less expensive. Never again. We'll pay the extra. The app does a terrible job if keeping you know when the 3rd party responds to your messages. I get the email before the app notification. Most times, it notifies me the next day that the company replied to my message. The company just regurgitates what I've already said a hundred times and then says "thank you for your patience while we handle this". But nothing is being handled! Terrible customer service. Update: After weeks of frustration I decided to contact VRBO through facebook. And the response was so good, I'm changing my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. Amy personally handled my case and did in one day what I've been trying to do for weeks. The only reason I'm not giving higher stars is because this took far too long. I had to spend many hours going over this with so many different people bevause of the 3rd party involvement. I would recommend using their facebook plateform if you have issues. I do wish VRBO had an option through there site or through their app that was as convenient as there facebook chat was.

Hidden Fees While…read morethe property I rented was great, the online property said it included ALL FEES. Not true. There was an unexpected additional fee added to my cc for this trip. As a Californian consumer, hidden fees are forbidden as a result of Assembly bill 537, known as the "honest pricing law" was specifically designed to target lodging rate transparency. VRBO didn't adhere to this law. This is something to consider. When I left this review via VRBO's system they wouldn't publish it. Thanks Yelp and Trust pilot for posting honest reviews.

The house was clean, updated, had air conditioning, comfy beds, linens/bath towels provided, laundry on site, fenced backyard, and an outdoor dog kennel for those who need it. I committed…read moreto a Del Mar Vacation over this past summer based on what appeared to be a wonderful property that my family could enjoy. There was some compelling advertising involved that raised our expectations for a wonderful week on Cape Cod. Unfortunately it ended up being nothing like we imagined from the beautiful pictures and well-written ads. This was a week vacation in Yarmouth Port, MA July 18-25. I committed to this based on advertising by Del Mar Vacations referring to a renovated home, a hidden gem, and a 5-star experience. Instead, it turned out to be an expensive nightmare for my family who had arrived from 3 different states based on these inflated descriptions. There were appalling conditions both outside and inside the property. The outside was a mess, and the inside included stained carpets and chairs, ripped screens, one of the apartments emanated strong musty odors, apparent mold and parts of the ceiling noticeably cracked, live insects were found hanging on flypaper in both the kitchen and dining room areas (which was disgusting), and the electrical lights downstairs kept flickering on and off whenever we engaged the A/C. These conditions were evident the moment we walked in, and we called to let Del Mar Vacations know how shocked and disappointed we were. Check-in time was late in the day and Del Mar refused to find us an alternative location. Consequently, we were forced to endure 1 night there. These conditions were eventually acknowledged by both a Del Mar manager and the Director of Hospitality Operations, but despite the fact that we felt strongly and relayed that these conditions were unacceptable, we were left to find another location in the middle of July entirely on our own, and Del Mar eventually insisted on keeping 70% of our fees. I was so disturbed by this treatment that I wrote the CEO of Del Mar, but he never even bothered to get back to me or even acknowledge my letter, and left it to one of his reports to give me the bad news that nothing further would be done. At one point, another manager suggested that Del Mar would refund an additional 20% if I removed my negative review, which seemed in appropriate and unethical to me. On this basis, I cannot recommend Del Mar Vacations to anyone, and I would suggest that whoever is considering a property do a thorough search of the property reviews first, and if possible, view the property before you commit to it. And check to see if all the reviews are there in the first place. I just looked again at the ad for the home I rented, and I'm very curious why that property indicates there were 79 reviews in total, but I find only 50 are available online, all of which are 4- or 5-star reviews. Apparently my review is one of those not included. Buyer Beware. Del Mar's advertising can be misleading and if you have big problems like we had, don't count on getting your money back!

Oceanfront with private beaches. Next, the houses range from modest cottages that sleep 4, to huge homes. Something in everyone's price range. The houses are clean and well-stocked with all the necessities. You can bring your own linens or you can rent anything you can't (or don't want to) bring. And finally, the fun as well as the peace and quiet! Beach Realty enforces the occupancy limit so if you are looking to rent a party house and cram a lot of people into it, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a house, large or small, to share with family and friends, it's a perfect area. Lots to do including kayaking, swimming, boating, shopping, or just hanging out on your very private beachfront. Love them!

Their fee is relatively high but fair, considering they do all of the work and we never needed to interface in any way with our renters. We had the full room and there were mermaid paintings throughout the room and the cottage. Everything was so beautiful. The bathroom was a little small side, but we were fine with it. Linda is so hospitable and communication is excellent. She even accommodated us last minute for a late arrival when we needed a place to stay. We were in Salem for Haunted Happenings Halloween festivities. Everything in Boston and Salem was booked up so we decided to take the drive out to Cape Cod for the night. This turned out to be a wonderful experience! We are so glad that we did. In the morning, we went to the Monument beach and marina area.
