A specialist in VW, Audi, and Porsche, I have never met a mechanic who came so highly recommended especially from people in the car industry. Avery knows German autos like the back of his hand, and it shows in every aspect of work. I have never left the shop unsure about any job completed. If he tells me a time and day my cars to be ready, he sticks to that time and day--as a mom of 3 this is REALLY important to me. Its such a relief to be able to trust someone completely to take care of a notoriously difficult type of car, I can always trust his quality of work and pricing to be fair & honest! And because it's been such a good experience, I have recommended my dad to see him For his Mercedes! The shop is clean, spacious, modern industrial, and a little haven of German toys so enthusiasts can take a look around at all he's got for sale. Tip: He has also mentioned on IG branching out his expertise to other makes so call him and ask if he's able to help you out with your non-German car/truck :)

I'd highly recommend Avery for any maintenance or repairs. It's not easy to find an honest and talented shop. Prices are great and more importantly it's a place you can trust. I look forward to coming back!

Over Engineered in my opinion is the best mechanic shop in Fresno. For the past 5 years I have not taken any of my cars to see anyone else. Most of my cars have been Germans but Over Engineered also works on all types of vehicles too such as jdm or domestic. Most recently I brought my 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan to Avery as I wanted to do a stage 1 APR tune , raise the car up with a suspension kit and also do a routine maintenance service. Avery was able to explain the whole process / proper way to maintain the vehicle once upgraded and got me scheduled in quick and easy. Over Engineered is the only shop that I trust around my vehicles as I know they are going to take care of me.

Took my 2018 Audi sq5 in for a turbo and Avery took the time diagnosed everything to determine the problem was my turbo. He took the time and determined the problem and saved me so much time and money was honest and got my audi back on the road very fast. I'm very particular about my car and I'll never bring my car to another shop he has my business forever. If you want someone to work on your car and have it done right the first time he is the guy! Honest hardworking guy and blessed we have a shop like this in town! Will definitely be back! Thanks again sir!

From the moment I arrived, Avery was professional, straightforward, and clearly knows Volkswagens inside and out.

I was having an absolutely terrible day when my 2015 Ford Escape clunked to a stop at a red light…read moreand refused to budge another inch. Roadside assistance asked for a destination, and with zero time to research, my brother-in-law suggested Sunnyside Auto Repair. Thankfully, they were just around the corner from where I broke down--and only a mile from home. I dropped it off Saturday evening using their super convenient drop-off form, then braced myself for a long, expensive week. First thing Monday morning, Randy called, got my info, and let me know they'd get to it as soon as possible, maybe Tuesday. No problem. Sure enough, Tuesday morning Randy called again--friendly as ever--and told me it was an easy fix! Not only did they take care of the issue that left me stranded, but they also finally fixed a problem with a rubbing caliper that I had complained about to Caliber Collision, Future Ford, and Midas. Every one of those places told me it was nothing and that I was "just hearing things." Turns out, I wasn't imagining it--Sunnyside listened, fixed it, and gave me peace of mind. They gained my trust by doing it right the first time, treating me with respect, and not charging me an arm and a leg. If you want honest, competent mechanics who actually care about their customers, go to Sunnyside. They turned my worst day into a huge relief.

Title: Price Jump, Hidden Fees & Told Not to Return -- Disappointing Experience…read more Review: I called Sunnyside Auto Repair and they provided a brake replacement quote of $400-650. Based on that estimate, I scheduled an appointment over the phone and dropped off my 2017 Nissan Sentra the next morning. After waiting several hours, the quote jumped to $1,200, with no clear explanation. When I declined the work, I was suddenly told there was a $65 inspection fee -- something that was never disclosed to me or put in writing. Only after pushing back did they waive the charge -- and then told me not to come back. This was an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I ended up going to the Nissan dealership, where I got OEM brake service for less money and zero drama. If you choose this shop, get all pricing in writing before agreeing to anything. I personally won't be returning.
