I recently took my 2016 Porsche macan to Avery Jennings for a major repair. He assured me that his team is well qualified to handle the issues and that he would have back in working order as soon as possible. And he did. Very pleased with his service. He now has another happy customer and I will be telling friends and family about Over Engineered Auto repair. Thanks again Avery read more

One thing I can say about Avery and his crew: TOP KNOCH! Awesome, honest, reliable, and understands German engineering. Reasonable, goes above and beyond. Look no further than this guy. AAAA+++++ read more

Over Engineered - Auto Repair Near Me - Fresno, California

if i could give no stars then i would, absolutely not worth the time. if you dont have an upscale foreign car then they treat your car like how foreigners view us, as a piece of sh**. definitely would not recommend. had them work on a few cars & both were suffering from major issues after we got them back. one of my cars actually came back in worst condition then when i sent it in. My other car I had a real mechanic look at it and they told me that the repairs were never done. A nissian and chevy are the cars that got repaired by the way. They keep your car for weeks just to give you back a piece of sh** in return. read more

never bring your car here these people are racist and don't even know what they're doing. they left parts off my car after me paying over 3400 for a simple fuel line repair that i diagnosed for them. never go here you will regret it. and the owner POS Avery threatened me and told me to get the F off his property when I asked him about it. I recorded everything read more

I was recommended this place through a friend and was really satisfied with the service. I went to a few places to get a quote on my liftgate struts and they were all pretty competitive, but because of the customer service here, it brought me back. I also had an issue with my gas flap and this was the first place I called for help and they were able to see me right away to get it fixed and not charge for it because the gas flap ended up having to be broken. Even though I had to replace it, it was still nice to be able to go somewhere where they're able to help out right away. I definitely recommend this place and will be bringing my car back for any future needs however, I hope I won't have to see them for a while. Thank you for the great service Avery! I definitely appreciate it! read more

Avery at Over Engineered is an amazing mechanic. He specializes in Audi, VW, Porsche and anything exotic. Being a master mechanic at Audi he knows how to repair anything. Call him prior to going anywhere else. Instead of selling me tires he recommended I purchase elsewhere. He's honest and trustworthy. Ladies he's your guy. read more

I've been taking my Audi to Avery for years and he is truly the only person I trust to work on it. He's honest, incredibly knowledgeable, and always upfront about what my car actually needs...no upselling, ever. The service is consistently fast and high-quality, and he always manages to fit me in quickly, even when he's busy. Avery communicates clearly, keeps me updated throughout the process, and takes the time to explain everything in a way that actually makes sense. He's also genuinely friendly, and the shop has a welcoming vibe (the adorable shop puppy Caster is definitely a bonus!). If you're looking for a mechanic who is trustworthy, skilled, and dependable, I can't recommend him enough! read more

A specialist in VW, Audi, and Porsche, I have never met a mechanic who came so highly recommended especially from people in the car industry. Avery knows German autos like the back of his hand, and it shows in every aspect of work. I have never left the shop unsure about any job completed. If he tells me a time and day my cars to be ready, he sticks to that time and day--as a mom of 3 this is REALLY important to me. Its such a relief to be able to trust someone completely to take care of a notoriously difficult type of car, I can always trust his quality of work and pricing to be fair & honest! And because it's been such a good experience, I have recommended my dad to see him For his Mercedes! The shop is clean, spacious, modern industrial, and a little haven of German toys so enthusiasts can take a look around at all he's got for sale. Tip: He has also mentioned on IG branching out his expertise to other makes so call him and ask if he's able to help you out with your non-German car/truck :) read more

I was recommended to Overengineered by a friend, and I'm honestly thankful I took their advice. From the moment I arrived, Avery was professional, straightforward, and clearly knows Volkswagens inside and out. He diagnosed my issue quickly, explained exactly what was wrong, and had my VW fixed faster than I expected--and done right the first time. What really impressed me was that Avery didn't stop there. He found another issue during the repair, took care of it without hesitation, and made sure everything was running smoothly. Then he went above and beyond by pointing out an additional problem that wasn't urgent, explained what caused it, and even showed me how I could fix it myself if I wanted to. You don't see that level of honesty and customer care very often. Avery is awesome. Overengineered has definitely earned my trust, and I'll be back for any future work. Highly recommend. read more

I am so happy that I was able to.find these guys. They are fair on pricing and the service is top notch. If I could I would have given a higher score. I have found my vehicles home. Avery is by far the "real deal." He's the expert on European automobiles. He works and is equipped to find out what the problem is with an automobile. Aside from this being his chosen field of expertise, he is excellent at communicating with his clientele, & is more than fair monetarily. I couldn't be more satisfied! read more

Avery has been my husband's and my go to mechanic since 2020. He handles everything from routine maintenance to repairs to aftermarket projects. He's honest, communicates well, and provides dealership quality work. We have a VW and an Audi, he has worked on both extensively. Most recently, he did an inner cooler and flex fuel sensor install on my RS3. I trust his expertise and my car has never had any issues after visiting his shop. Great work, great guy. read more

Avery is a great mechanic! Worked on my vr6. Would definitely go back for other stuff.

I'd highly recommend Avery for any maintenance or repairs. It's not easy to find an honest and talented shop. Prices are great and more importantly it's a place you can trust. I look forward to coming back! read more

Over Engineered in my opinion is the best mechanic shop in Fresno. For the past 5 years I have not taken any of my cars to see anyone else. Most of my cars have been Germans but Over Engineered also works on all types of vehicles too such as jdm or domestic. Most recently I brought my 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan to Avery as I wanted to do a stage 1 APR tune , raise the car up with a suspension kit and also do a routine maintenance service. Avery was able to explain the whole process / proper way to maintain the vehicle once upgraded and got me scheduled in quick and easy. Over Engineered is the only shop that I trust around my vehicles as I know they are going to take care of me. read more

Amazing customer service, honest prices, and high quality work. What more could you ask for? 5 stars for Avery and his shop every time!

I've been taking my Audi to Avery for the past 3 years and I cannot recommend him enough! Avery is great and is willing to go that extra mile for his customers! Over Engineered is also very reasonable with repair and maintenance costs. Avery specializes in VW and Audi vehicles but is willing to take on all makes and models. I recently sold my Audi but I'll be taking my Land Rover to him very soon! You won't be disappointed with Avery and Over Engineered. read more

Avery has been my main mechanic for 13 years. He may look young but hes been doing this since he was a teen, maybe even longer. He can work on any brand of car but his specialty is German. This is where the name over engineered came from, because they are more complex which usually comes with an outrageous price tag for service. He is transparent with his costs and saves a ton of money. Not only that, he will also tell you things like warranties and items that you may be able to do yourself. Best mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, thank you for all your work! Also his mustache, so hot! read more

I've brought multiple vehicles over to Avery at Over engineered and have been more than please with the care and attention to detail on anything I've asked. Whether it was something simple like an oil change or installing a tune, Avery delivers the same consistent quality of work. All of this is done at a fair price which is cheaper than the standard dealership but still provides equal if not better service. read more

HANDS DOWN THE BEST EURO MECHANIC! Avery did so much work on my 09 Audi A4 when I had it, whatever I needed done to it he would get it done very quickly! I've also been left stranded before on the side of the road due to a rear main seal leak and it just put the car in limp mode, he was able to come over with a truck and flash the code and tow it to his shop. Any questions I ever have about my car I can call him up and if he doesn't answer he usually gets back to me within the hour and is extremely knowledgeable and tells me exactly what I need to do or what not to do. Very genuine man with very fair pricing for the amount of work that is actually needing to be done to these cars, they aren't easy to work on! Without a doubt would recommend anyone to Over Engineered, every single time! read more

Recently took my Audi in for service, Avery was very informative and gets straight to the point! They were super fast and helpful, saving me a ton of time. I just wanted to give a shoutout to this amazing mechanic shop. If you're looking for a reliable place to get your car fixed, I highly recommend them! read more

I bought a car located in Fresno from out of town and Avery was very accommodating in finding time in his schedule to accommodate my tight timeline to look at the car. After I purchased the vehicle, I left the car with Avery as I needed to head to the airport for my flight. He was gracious enough to let me leave the car at his shop and even helped coordinate pickup with the shipping company. Super stand up guy, honest, and has a great shop. I'd rate him higher if I could! read more

Thee best in the Central Valley for all your German car needs! Wouldn't take my Audi anywhere else.

Avery is the best. He is a human above all and really has the customer in mind when handling their car and money. He's saved my Volkswagen many times and has taken care of my non European cars. Can't recommend enough. Been a customer to Avery for years and won't go anywhere else while he's in town. read more
