While the food is good and the wait for a table short once your food arrives you need to hope you never need anything else. No one comes to check, I asked 3 different servers for more coffee and extra dressing as well as the restaurant manager and did not get the requested items. You would think the manager would be accommodating- not the case. read more

It is a very nice place to go. Food was excellent most of all. I've also tried their catered food and it was great. FYI, it's byob. I had no idea it was byob. So if you read this now, you ladies can enjoy your mimosas :) read more

My favorite brunch spot! OEK uses the freshest ingredients for all their delicious meals - my favorite dishes are the Steak and Eggs and West Coast Greek Salad with romaine. Gorgeous atmosphere, great place for bottomless brunch (also BYO!), but also perfect for a quick lunch break at work. The cold brew is to die for. In every experience, the staff were attentive and welcoming and always provided excellent customer service. I go back whenever I'm home from school - favorite place to catch up with friends over the best brunch! read more

The interior is beautiful, staff is very friendly, and we sat right away. The food arrived bland and missing ingredients from the menu- overall it was super disappointing. The most upsetting is that if you pay by credit, you're charged a hidden service fee and when we ate there it wasn't posted anywhere or on the menu. When we asked the server, she had to ask someone because she had no idea. read more

This is a go-to brunch spot for my family! The service is quite efficient and quick, the servers are professional, and the food is very delicious. I really enjoyed the Let 'Em Eat Cake weekend special, as it was a unique combo of salmon cake, eggs and crispy toast, but I would also recommend the Mediterranean Omelette (not pictured). read more

This place was great the first time I tried it. Second time, not so much. My food wasn't hot and my poached eggs were over cooked. The server took way too long for pretty much everything. I let him know about the issues with my breakfast just to give the chef a heads up and he asked if I wanted a new breakfast. I said I was eating it and not to worry, just wanted to make someone aware that food wasn't coming out of the kitchen as it should. Next thing I know I'm basically done with my breakfast and he brings out a whole new one that I already refused, saying the chef insisted. Nice gesture, but I was already done with this place. read more

Ridiculous wait time this morning. Food was not even good and cold after waiting 50 min for food!! At these prices this is unacceptable!! Not going back here and been here plenty of times! read more

Not bad. A little expensive for the normal breakfast items. Food was good but Mee Moms and Turning Point in the same shopping center are better. As others have noted, definitely not liking the 'non-cash' adjustment fee. Credit card providers usually charge 2.9% processing, while the fee Over Easy charged me is a 3.7% fee. Not cool. Not worth it in my opinion, especially since other similarly priced options exist steps away. Do away with the cash/credit card fee! This should not be passed to the consumer; it's a cost of doing business! read more

Casual setting, tasty, limited menu, friendly staff, busy on weekends, up charge 3.7% for credit and debit card use. On a recent visit, we ordered the Grilled chicken panini with spinach, pesto, shaved Italian cheese served with a side mixed salad (or fries). Nice presentation. Service was spot on. Grilled cheese and tomato soup was tasty. Burgers ($13.95) are prepared to order with several cheese toppings to choose from and choice of salad or fries. A friend ordered a veggie omelet with house salad. We were all happy with our choices. The menu is on the pricier side, but worth the extra. Only complaint was the additional fee for using a credit card. read more

Out of 5 stars: Food: 4 Service: 2 Value: 3 Timeliness: 3 Overall ok, but wouldn't go again. The food was very good. We got Nutella pancakes, lemon ricotta pancakes, Belgian waffle, sides of turkey bacon, home fries, coffee. The portions were generous and flavors wonderful. On the pricey side for breakfast. Cheapest meal item was about $9. Most $10-$15. For that price I was surprised the omelets didn't come with home fries. All sides $4-$7 each. Service was friendly but lacked the basics--didn't check to see how our meals were or if we needed anything, long wait times for drink refills, messed up our checks. Also, this important to know if you pay with a credit card: they charge you the credit card fee. read more

I came here for lunch with some co-workers and it was really cute! The lunch time was crowded but we were able to get a seat. The menu was pretty diverse with lunch and breakfast options. I went with the Avocado toast and was a little underwhelmed. I appreciate simplicity but it was just one egg and a sliced avocado on bread- nothing too crazy or unique. I am not sure I would order this again but my co worker who ordered the chicken sandwich really liked it and it looked like a great meal. I would be open to coming back to try something else on the menu! read more

The hostess/ host are always nice. The staff is nice. The food is always good. If you're looking for a unique breakfast/lunch restaurant you should not miss this gem!! read more

I have been to the other location and thought it was time to try the one closer to me. I dont know if its lack of training or lack of caring. If we asked for two things we only got one and and would have to continuously remind the waitress. I hate having to ask so much for more napkins. I feel guilty for asking after the second time but this is something that should not be difficult. I started this review as a 2 star but changed to a 3 star because the food, like their other location is really good. I had an omelet children had pancakes and everyone enjoyed their meal. It frustrates me because breakfast we can make at home so the staffs impact is important on the meal. We will try again and will be back and I will follow up when we do. Seems like staff issues are consistent between both locations. read more

I decided to break my usual Sunday Brunch routine and try Over Easy. Heard good things about the place and we weren't disappointed. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by staff at the front of the eatery. The decor was modern and bright but still gave a warm feeling of coziness. Our server Sarah was pleasant and accommodating to our questions and any requests. I had the "B.E.C. Sandwich" which is a traditional style bacon egg and cheese served perfectly "over easy" ( pun intended) on a warm delicious brioche bun. We were also able to try the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes , which has a rich berry center, a touch of lemon that really finished off each bite and mascarpone whipped cream a top. If looking for your new favorite local brunch place, this is sure to top the list. read more

The atmosphere is cozy and the food can be healthy (lots of avocado and egg whites choices). They have specials on the weekends. The food is always delicious though I would like them to have more sweet options like muffins and scones. read more

This place has amazing food but the service is terrible. The waiters and waitresses barely greet you, they don't smile and you better order all at once because if not you'll never see them again. We received our "starters" at the same time as our food and they were cold. We tried to send them back and the manager said no, and refused to remove them off the bill. I have never seen such poor customer service. This place is a real shame, certainly not like the other restaurants this owner has. read more

Food was great with a mix of Italian and brunch all in one. Would recommend and the interior is decorated very nice.

I have been to OEK in Holmdel twice now. The food is delicious. The ambiance is great, but the server I had both times did not seem to care to give good service but only to flip his tables. I understand being I once too worked in the business, but to rush a table from the second they sit down and rush them out without asking if they are even done or want anything else placing the check down is insulting. The second time dining with Charlie, he had even asked us to leave claiming there was a wait when the entire restaurant was filled with open tables. We were there for an hour. This ruined my view on the restaurant as a whole. I give 4 stars because aside from Charlie's poor customer service, it is a spot I have enjoyed. read more

Wow!! I've been here for breakfast before which was amazing. We decided to check them out for dinner and it was spectacular! The presentation of the food is gorgeous and the taste was even better. We had the burrata and the blackened shrimp for appetizers and the ribs and fettuccine with shrimp and scallops for dinner. I had the hazelnut oat milk mocha latte for dessert and it was pure heaven. Definitely will be back! read more

Doesn't look like anything from the outside but the inside was somewhat rustic. Very cool looking. Nice atmosphere. The food was delicious. I recommend the sweet potato chorizo hash! Nice town restaurant. Newly renovated looks great! More spacious tables. Menu still the same . Food took a long time to be served its was hot. Never got my toast had to ask for it twice. But otherwise a good brunch spot read more

First they were violently overpriced, there is no reason 1 slice of bread with avocado and seasoning should be $7. Also I ordered a hazelnut OAT mocha coffee and the lady either chose to put it in wrong, or not tell me it had regular milk so I immediately didn't feel well and then when we asked her about it all she did was fight with us. Don't even bother coming here. read more

The restaurant is personally one of my favorite breakfast/lunch places to go to in the Holmdel area. I normally don't write restaurant reviews often, but felt compelled to after the great customer service I experienced. The food, atmosphere, and customer service has always been great. Recently, I had an order through Door Dash that was messed up, and Door Dash was giving both me and the restaurant some trouble with the matter. The manager who helped me with this issue was very understanding and patient. She even called me just to follow up with the issue after I had contacted Door Dash myself. Overall, this restaurant has always provided me and my family great service and delicious food. I highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

I've grown so sick of the repetitiveness of Meemom's and was overjoyed when the Middletown area gained another trendy breakfast spot. So often my friends have few options to suggest for breakfast/brunch and we settle. But we don't have to do that anymore! Over easy is cute and large, making it a great place to chat with longtime friends over coffee. The menu is innovative and not nearly as long as Meemom's or the diner, which leads me to assume specialization as opposed to variance. I, for one, much prefer a specialized, smaller menu to a long, extensive one. My favorite dish here is the burrata toast, though I know of friends who have quite an array of go-to's. The service here is the same as any neighborhood brunch place; warm, welcoming, with the occasional slip-up. When such mistakes occur, the staff is apologetic. If not well trained, the college students and rest of the staff have always demonstrated professionalism. Well done over easy. Middletown needs more like this. read more

Amazing BYOB brunch! I go to both of their locations and they are both are just spectacular. Been here three times and it is easily the best restaurant in this area for miles. The food is fresh, the flavors are interesting, and the staff is sweet The first or second time I was here with my parents and aunt, the owner came over to talk to us. He's a sweetheart. I've had salads and omelets and they are both quite good. Eggs taste fresh, like they come from real hens. Never had eggs like this before. I can't wait to go back to this place. It's sort of like Turning Point, across Route 35, but 1000% better because the food tastes like it's freshly made and not microwaved. If this place were open for dinner I would be ecstatic. My guess is that the negative reviews are mostly from people who don't know really good food when they taste it. They are probably used to mediocre food so this food tastes strange to them. read more

Great food, industrial design, clean, and excellent service. We will be back. I had the eggs Benedict and may I say...simply delicious. I have had the chocolate chip pancakes too. They are light, fluffy, mouth watering warm too. I recommend this place for couples, friends wanting to catch up and keep the cost down.
