My favorite brunch spot! OEK uses the freshest ingredients for all their delicious meals - my favorite dishes are the Steak and Eggs and West Coast Greek Salad with romaine. The interior is beautiful, staff is very friendly, and we sat right away. The food arrived bland and missing ingredients from the menu- overall it was super disappointing. The most upsetting is that if you pay by credit, you're charged a hidden service fee and when we ate there it wasn't posted anywhere or on the menu. This place was great the first time I tried it. Second time, not so much. My food wasn't hot and my poached eggs were over cooked. The server took way too long for pretty much everything. I let him know about the issues with my breakfast just to give the chef a heads up and he asked if I wanted a new breakfast. I said I was eating it and not to worry, just wanted to make someone aware that food wasn't coming out of the kitchen as it should. Next thing I know I'm basically done with my breakfast and he brings out a whole new one that I already refused, saying the chef insisted. As others have noted, definitely not liking the 'non-cash' adjustment fee. Credit card providers usually charge 2.9% processing, while the fee Over Easy charged me is a 3.7% fee. Not cool. Not worth it in my opinion, especially since other similarly priced options exist steps away. Do away with the cash/credit card fee! Grilled cheese and tomato soup was tasty. Burgers ($13.95) are prepared to order with several cheese toppings to choose from and choice of salad or fries. A friend ordered a veggie omelet with house salad. We were all happy with our choices. The menu is on the pricier side, but worth the extra. I came here for lunch with some co-workers and it was really cute! The lunch time was crowded but we were able to get a seat. The menu was pretty diverse with lunch and breakfast options. I went with the Avocado toast and was a little underwhelmed. I appreciate simplicity but it was just one egg and a sliced avocado on bread- nothing too crazy or unique. I am not sure I would order this again but my co worker who ordered the chicken sandwich really liked it and it looked like a great meal. I have been to the other location and thought it was time to try the one closer to me. I dont know if its lack of training or lack of caring. If we asked for two things we only got one and and would have to continuously remind the waitress. I hate having to ask so much for more napkins. I feel guilty for asking after the second time but this is something that should not be difficult. I started this review as a 2 star but changed to a 3 star because the food, like their other location is really good. I had an omelet children had pancakes and everyone enjoyed their meal. It frustrates me because breakfast we can make at home so the staffs impact is important on the meal. We will try again and will be back and I will follow up when we do. I decided to break my usual Sunday Brunch routine and try Over Easy. Heard good things about the place and we weren't disappointed. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by staff at the front of the eatery. The decor was modern and bright but still gave a warm feeling of coziness. Our server Sarah was pleasant and accommodating to our questions and any requests. I had the "B.E.C. Sandwich" which is a traditional style bacon egg and cheese served perfectly "over easy" ( pun intended) on a warm delicious brioche bun. We were also able to try the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes , which has a rich berry center, a touch of lemon that really finished off each bite and mascarpone whipped cream a top. This place has amazing food but the service is terrible. The waiters and waitresses barely greet you, they don't smile and you better order all at once because if not you'll never see them again. We received our "starters" at the same time as our food and they were cold. We tried to send them back and the manager said no, and refused to remove them off the bill. I have never seen such poor customer service. This place is a real shame, certainly not like the other restaurants this owner has. read more

I have been to OEK in Holmdel twice now. The food is delicious. The ambiance is great, but the server I had both times did not seem to care to give good service but only to flip his tables. I understand being I once too worked in the business, but to rush a table from the second they sit down and rush them out without asking if they are even done or want anything else placing the check down is insulting. The second time dining with Charlie, he had even asked us to leave claiming there was a wait when the entire restaurant was filled with open tables. We were there for an hour. This ruined my view on the restaurant as a whole. I give 4 stars because aside from Charlie's poor customer service, it is a spot I have enjoyed. read more

Wow!! I've been here for breakfast before which was amazing. We decided to check them out for dinner and it was spectacular! The presentation of the food is gorgeous and the taste was even better. First they were violently overpriced, there is no reason 1 slice of bread with avocado and seasoning should be $7. I normally don't write restaurant reviews often, but felt compelled to after the great customer service I experienced. The food, atmosphere, and customer service has always been great. Recently, I had an order through Door Dash that was messed up, and Door Dash was giving both me and the restaurant some trouble with the matter. The manager who helped me with this issue was very understanding and patient. She even called me just to follow up with the issue after I had contacted Door Dash myself. Overall, this restaurant has always provided me and my family great service and delicious food. I highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

I've grown so sick of the repetitiveness of Meemom's and was overjoyed when the Middletown area gained another trendy breakfast spot. So often my friends have few options to suggest for breakfast/brunch and we settle. But we don't have to do that anymore! Over easy is cute and large, making it a great place to chat with longtime friends over coffee. The menu is innovative and not nearly as long as Meemom's or the diner, which leads me to assume specialization as opposed to variance. I, for one, much prefer a specialized, smaller menu to a long, extensive one. My favorite dish here is the burrata toast, though I know of friends who have quite an array of go-to's. The service here is the same as any neighborhood brunch place; warm, welcoming, with the occasional slip-up. When such mistakes occur, the staff is apologetic. If not well trained, the college students and rest of the staff have always demonstrated professionalism. Well done over easy. Middletown needs more like this. read more

Been here three times and it is easily the best restaurant in this area for miles. The food is fresh, the flavors are interesting, and the staff is sweet The first or second time I was here with my parents and aunt, the owner came over to talk to us. He's a sweetheart. I've had salads and omelets and they are both quite good. Eggs taste fresh, like they come from real hens. Never had eggs like this before. I can't wait to go back to this place. It's sort of like Turning Point, across Route 35, but 1000% better because the food tastes like it's freshly made and not microwaved. If this place were open for dinner I would be ecstatic. My guess is that the negative reviews are mostly from people who don't know really good food when they taste it.
