I highly recommend you consider other options as they quickly became unresponsive, then rude. Before meeting with Cecilia, I sent an email with our address and a full schematic of our property. She visited and provided an estimate for $3k annually (5 visits). When I asked some follow up questions, she was initially unresponsive, and then responded very rudely and suggested she had told me previously she would not serve my area now or in the future. This experience was extremely frustrating as I provided our address, spent time away from work to be home to meet Cecilia, and she never mentioned that my location was an issue. If it was an issue, why schedule a visit, review the site, and write up a formal estimate? Overall I'd caution anyone considering Flo's Gardens as they are unprofessional, rude, slow to respond, and frankly very expensive for what they offer compared to competitors in the area.

My real contention is this: several plants her team installed died untimely deaths. She conceded that the reason was probably due to my neighbor's adjacent Black Walnut that she failed to notice (!!). Although she seamed knowledgeable about the plants we were to install, a great many, I later found out, were not compatible with our shady environment. I have had to become a home gardener to remedy and augment some of the mis-steps she took. I just think the job was a little too much for her. She probably does well with smaller, less involved projects.

What happened after the first few visits deteriorated u til everything was broken and they didn't respond because they'd gotten my $ and moved onto other projects. I truly believe Edward is a brilliant passionate creator, but the business is not run well. It's all about personal care and followup, which was absolutely absent. I wish Edward the best, and I hope Irene can help now that she is reaching out to past clients who have been mistreated.

We worked with Edward and team to install custom planters and bluestone paving on our terrace in…read moreApril 2019, and we were initially very impressed with Outside Space's prices and professionalism, and thrilled with the finished product. However, since the project was completed, three of the bluestone tiles have cracked down the middle during regular use. The first two times this happened, Edward was very responsive, and sent out his team within a few weeks to replace the broken bluestone tile free of charge. After the second broken tile, Edward assured us that if this were to happen again, he would either replace the entirety of the tiles and/or the subsystem. Unfortunately, a third tile did break this April (2 years after initial installation). I contacted Edward and he set a date for a team to come out to replace it, but cancelled day-of. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I have not been able to get ahold of Edward or anyone at Outside Space in the weeks since. The broken tiles are not just inconvenient, but dangerous -- because of the nature of the pedestal system, the tiles are set about 6 inches above the bottom of the terrace, and have the potential to cause real injury if someone were to fall through. Whether these broken tiles are a result of a faulty group of bluestone tiles or an error in the subsystem, we're disappointed that Edward is now unwilling to make the situation right.
