History: The Venus flytrap, scientifically known as Dionaea muscipula, is native to a limited area of the southeastern United States. ONLY naturally growing specifically within a 75-mile radius of Wilmington, North Carolina. This area includes parts of both North and South Carolina. The plant was first discovered in the late 1700s. So respected in North Carolina, removing or poaching them from public lands or private property is a Felony. Purchasing them or growing yourself is praised.

Plenty of free lot and street parking available and they have a large shaded outdoor area with picnic tables and chairs. Music playing pretty loud on speakers both inside and out. Not a sports bar feel...way more a place to just chill and not get excited. Pet friendly. Bring your own food is encouraged with a nice pizza place called Slice of Life in the same strip shopping center, as well as a Smithfields Chicken restaurant right in front of the brewery. I did end up enjoying the IPA I got despite not normally being a fan of beers with a lot of fruit flavors. The food was also good if not great. I don't have any complaints, it just wouldn't be my first choice for eating when we're back in town again. I think the strength of this place is the space and casual atmosphere, it was easy to bring our kids to have a nice meal while we enjoyed some beers.
