I had this review up on google reviews but didn't realize that i hadn't posted here as well. Lisa and Jim are great people to work with. In all of the projects and homes I've owned over the years the single greatest attribute a business has is their integrity. Even the greatest companies in the world dealing with landscaping and irrigation are occasionally going to have problems. It's unavoidable when dealing with homes that are years, if not decades old with various piping and electrical that is many times unknown even when blue staked. This review is to not say you're not going to ever have problems because that's an unreasonable promise to make, no company can make that promise no matter how good they are. I can promise you that they know what they're doing, they will complete the project to your satisfaction (as long as your expectations are not other-worldly), and they stand behind their work. That last bit is CRITICAL to me, because anybody can do an install and wash their hands of it. But to come back and fix anything that happens down the line is an attribute that is rarely seen in businesses. You should not only use these guys for lighting projects, but you can trust them. We had a rather poor experience with her. She was referred to us and she had a good plan--it looked great on paper. We spent close to $6000 on uplights and when we've had other vendors look at what she did, they cannot believe the poor quality for the price. Additionally, we couldn't find several of lights. The price included a year of maintenance and after we contacted her a few times to account for all of them and make adjustments she no longer took our calls. read more

Last year, I paid this company $10k to purchase a ton of lights and wreaths. The deal that they sold me was that they would store the lights and then re-install next year but at a fraction of the price since I had purchased the lights. This year, they offered to reinstall the lights for 10,200 -- more than I paid last year when I bought the lights. I demanded they return the lights and wreaths and they returned no wreaths and 1/3 of the lights. Now im going to sue them. This company is DISHONEST to the core. It stole the products that I bought from it last year. The estimates they give to install lights are orders of magnitude higher than installers available on Angie's list. Don't ever hire this company. read more

We love this reliable company! They did our original install, over a decade ago, and have been so good to provide service and replacement parts quickly. Following out string of extreme weather, we lost some trees. I asked that they come back this time to redesign the landscape lighting and they did with the advice of a new landscape design specialist. We are so happy!! read more

Very professional company. Added lighting to exterior of the house which required a lot of digging to bury the wiring. They cleaned up so well I couldn't tell where they had been digging. Had to come out several times to fix the same issues they said were fixed. The kids that came out were always nice and respectful but they look 17 so idk how much one can expect for knowledge. read more

I originally contacted Lisa and Jim for the Bistro lighting, and Jim came over and provided a free consultation. He was very honest with the wear and tear and required maintenance for the Bistro lighting. He offered alternative ideas, and I ended up having the wall lighting installation where the light is installed into the back wall casting light down on the desert scenery. I am so happy with this, and I can do the bistro lighting for future events if I feel the need without the long term maintenance. Also had a smart socket installation set up where I can control the lighting from my phone, and put everything on a scheduled timer. Jim and his team were very helpful, friendly, and respectful to the landscaping during the install process. Also working with Lisa to set the appointment, then payment processing was such a pleasure! She was so friendly and I had a great time getting to know her and Jim as well. I will post pictures in the future once I have all my outdoor furniture set up! read more

I had a great experience with an Angie's List Big Deal service provider. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives came and balanced and tuned up all my front and back yard landscape lighting. Joseph Wilaby replaced all the bulbs and was professional and a pleasure to work with. He is getting me an estimate on some improvements. Best 30 dollar coupon ever! I made the mistake of thinking this business had a storefront because an address was listed on YELP... nope, it's a P.O. box which is a little suspect. I called a couple of times and no one answered but a nice woman called me back to set up an appointment for the "Owner" of the "business" to come to my house. I was told I would get to see a nighttime demonstration, get a price and some good advice. On the day of the appointment the "owner" was 30 minutes late so I called him and he said he "had completely forgotten about the appointment because he had taken a friend to the airport" that morning. Ok... Then he offers to drive out (but tells me what a long drive it is for him) in an hour, I accept the new appointment time and he shows up. He didn't even go in my backyard, instead he realized that my job would be under 10 lights in the front. I was then told they don't do nighttime demos if the job is under ten lights and he couldn't have gotten out of here fast enough leaving me with a promise of calling me in a day with a price. Moving to a new home is seldom easy, but on our recent move, we did something smart. We saw an ad in a local home magazine for a company called Outdoor Lighting Perspectives and we called them. Several days later, owner Rich Perry came out at twilight with an assortment of battery-operated portable lights. He placed the lights around the house: front, back, sides. As it got darker, he made a few adjustments and incorporated the lights we already had. It was amazing! Our yard was transformed! The lighting was subtle: lights shining up into trees and down onto bushes, flower beds and walkways. We were treated to a nighttime light show...and could make suggestions and changes before any installation work was begun. Nothing was left to chance and through it all, Rich was knowledgeable and professional and helpful. I had heard some great things about Outdoor Lighting but it wasn't until I had them come to my house did I realize how much in the 'dark' I was. We used them for design and installation on extensive grounds, citrus trees, pool, walkways, lighting outdoor art work, etc. Rich had great ideas and suggestions, and the crews were always prompt and efficient. Great job at my home. We love the dramatic look in the front and back yard, the excellent customer service, and how quickly and perfect things got done. After was all said and done I called the owner to see about getting some Christmas color lights for the landscaping lights and they deliver them to my door the very next day!
