My boys absolutely love this camp -- the sailing, the teamwork, the fun -- it's all top notch. This year, we ran into an unexpected situation where one of my sons wasn't able to attend, even though we had signed up well in advance. Based on the camp's policy, Westwind could have easily told us there was nothing they could do -- but they did the opposite. They were quick to respond, incredibly understanding, and went out of their way to accommodate us. In a world where customer service can be hit-or-miss, their compassion and professionalism really stood out. Another lovely moment: during the "practice capsizing" day, my elderly parents came to watch. Without us asking, the amazing staff brought out chairs for them so they could sit and enjoy the event comfortably. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and speaks volumes about the team behind this camp. We're so grateful for everything Westwind Sailing offers -- from the wonderful instruction to the truly kind and caring staff. Highly recommend this camp to anyone considering it!

There is a ton of free parking, clean public bathrooms, and the beautiful coastline. Tucked in the front seat, wrapped in a blanket, we set out! Not only did we see hundreds of dolphins, spiraling and jumping, we also got to see two whales up close and personal. For Jori, this is so much more than a business! She made each of us on the boat feel so connected to this incredible experience and carefully attended to every need. Everyone on the boat was super professional and informative. We really appreciate Laura spitting facts at us and making sure we knew what was going on. At one point, I was standing in front of the boat and I was about to go sit back down, but Laura told me to stay because she knew we would see something soon and we saw a Fin whale, which we stopped for a while to watch come up and down and no matter what it's always magical. We ran into a bunch of dolphins and watching them chop and play as always fulfilling. There's no way you can go wrong with this excursion, especially with a discount. They seem to always be offering. Curlew is, basically, a Time Machine. It was launched long ago and far away -- in 1926 in the state of Maine. The crew is very knowledgeable in handling Curlew at sea, but also in the history of this priceless artifact.

The first thing I noticed was how well the crew worked together, everyone knows their job. Not to mention that they are all in excellent physical shape. We motored out of the slip and some of our party got to hoist the sails. We glided out of the harbor and once out at sea aways we scattered his ashes and lots of flowers. The crew assisted in a nice ceremonial process. Alas the voyage did not last long, we were soon tacking about and sailing back to the harbor. We never lost sight of land, it would not have taken much more time to do so, but that was the program. Rest In Peace David Ray Malson, you will never be forgotten by me and my family. Fair winds and calm seas forever my friend.
