There was a 2 bottle maximum that was allowed to be brought on board with a $35 corkage - but they allowed me a few more bottles on board which was nice. But would have been nice to know ahead of time vs the day before. I wouldn't say anyone went above and beyond - but service was professional, courteous. Drinks for the premium bar were definitely on par with CA prices. They provided a list of caterers and for my milestone where I wanted French food - recommended Tom's Catering. He has been doing food on board for 20+ years and the food was PHENOMENAL. Guests devoured the food and everything was absolutely delicious. Boat has 3 levels and was able to fit the party nicely. The main floor had the bar and upstairs is where we played games. all in all - everyone had a lovely time, nobody got sea sick.

We arrived a little early for our Sunday afternoon reservation (9/13/26). No one was in the office, and the provided phone number went unanswered, so we waited outside. While chasing my toddler around, other groups came in and were helped, but the male employee behind the desk didn't acknowledge me for 8-10 minutes. When I finally asked if I could check in, he seemed annoyed and simply handed me a clipboard without any explanation. When I asked what I was supposed to do next, he said, "Just go to the dock." I asked if there was a sign or someone there to help us, and he replied, "You'll know where." I found the entire interaction unnecessarily unhelpful and honestly felt a little silly for not knowing where to go. Later, I saw the same employee sitting in the office with his feet up on the desk and on his phone, which unfortunately painted a pretty clear picture of the level of attentiveness we experienced. For a $200 rental, I'd expect at minimum to be greeted, given basic instructions, and directed to the dock. The rental may be affordable, but the customer service left a lot to be desired.

From there the signs are helpful as to where to check-in and complete your waivers ahead of time. The boats are really nice and it's a really nice outing for a group of 12 or less. I didn't realize the Newport Harbor was as big as it is. The electric boat is easy to drive and note the map is much smaller than the actual size.
