Tidy well designed room with comfy bed. They really thought of everything. Plenty of areas to hang your towels, clothes, and coats. Hot water kettle in the room, with coffee to steep, or tea. A noise machine to dull any outside noise. Nice firepit areas and hot tub. The gift shop was really well stocked with great hoodie and tote bag designs, and even s'more kits. The TV in the room was easy to figure out, and came in clear. Helpful happy staff, and hot coffee for early risers. We would definitely come again, especially because they are so close to the bike trails and walking distance to town in either direction. Well done Outbound!

The staff was warm and friendly. I only have one criticism. While the A/C was working, we had difficulty regulating it to feel comfortable. It was rather cold and clammy at night, but by morning, we felt fine. It wasn't so much the cold part that bothered me, but the clammy part was what got to me. Everyone kept saying how unseasonably hot and humid it was for Stowe, so who knows... maybe the A/C just had difficulty regulating itself... or we didn't know how to use it properly. It wasn't bad, per se, but it was a little uncomfortable some of the time. The room overall, though, was really great. Also, we loved that they had Netflix and Amazon Prime, so we could settle into the shows we were missing while traveling. That was a nice surprise ! Most hotels don't offer any of that. We had planned to dine out at one of the local restaurants, but we found out they were serving dinner at Grant's, the inn's restaurant. We were tired after traveling around all day, so we stayed at the inn and ate a great meal at Grant's. (See separate review for that.) Also, the common areas in the main building next to the restaurant are very tastefully appointed, spacious, with lots of games, books and sitting areas for people to utilize. We walked around them to see what there was but returned to our room to relax and watch some of our shows. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. One night in Stowe just isn't enough, especially at the Stowe Village Inn. Let's hope there will be a next time !

The price / night was reasonable, the breakfast included was very standard (coffee, tea, some breakfast pastries / bagels) but did its job to keep us energized for the days of exploring Stowe or hitting the slopes (!) All these hotels have a fun vibe. We stayed in the main lodge. The rooms in the main lodge are very simple, the first floor of the lodge is the communal living room. The area is comfortable and decorated nicely, and has board games, shuffleboard, a few fireplaces and hot water for tea. Breakfast in the morning is included. They had fruit, pastries and a protein of sorts, coffee and hot chocolate. In the evening we enjoyed a cocktail at the bar, which has live music some nights 7:00-9:00. There is a hot tub you can reserve for 30 minute increments. We opted to pass due to the weather and our short visit in the area. In the summer, there is a pool, which looks like a lovely set up. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We did visit during peak leaf peaking season, so it was pricey for the room type, but that's what you can expect anywhere in Stowe in October.

We stayed for two nights and weren't able to have a fire in our room with a fireplace (that we specifically chose) because all of the wood they provide is wet or green. It was clean, but not immaculate. Sheets and towels aren't bright white, they have a used/yellowed look to them. The pool and the Jacuzzi are nearly pointless - severely outdated, grubby, and depressing to be honest. Breakfast is store-bought pastries, bagels... Kind desk staff.

There was an unlocked door connecting to another room which felt really unsafe, especially since it was all women in our group. The bathroom door didn't even close and the rooms looked nothing like the photos. It seemed like they just painted over everything to make it look nicer than it actually was. I mentioned the unlocked door to the front desk and the guy brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal. We ended up switching rooms but the new one wasn't much better. The AC made a loud ticking noise and kept shutting off in the middle of the night. None of us slept well. The shower was awful. Barely any pressure and no consistent temperature. You'd honestly be better off showering in the rain. The next morning we went to grab breakfast and bought a few muffins. Every single one had green fuzzy mold on it. We got a refund but they left the rest of the moldy muffins in the fridge which was honestly really gross. Overall the place just felt unsafe and not properly maintained. The only thing we liked was the pool and hot tub but that alone is not enough to make me want to stay here again.

We were a party of 9 that night We ordered the humus and it was the best thing on the menu. We had 4 orders of the kale soup, it came out cold and was like water with a few things pitched in. The bartender said there might not be enough servings of the soup, they added water to make more servings. We had mushroom toast and meatballs all very bland and not well prepared. But the awol flatbread was a joke. it was just bread with a hint of toppings. I am not sure if the bartender was trying to cook , but we tried to get food for 9 people , it took hours , It was unbelievable what was served and I came home and made a sandwich . I am at a loss for words how bad this was. This also cost about $300.00, A bag of pretzels and some chips would have been more tasty. This was an obvious example of some one in the kitchen who did not know what to do, and rather not serve bad food they threw together what they could . Horrible , awful , frustrating, amateur, and a total rip off More Date of stay: July 2025

No spa (it's literally part of their name) no restaurant - the staff couldn't (or wouldn't) even provide wine glasses to us. We tried running a hot bath after a day of skiing, only to be mortified to discover the bath water was dark yellow! And after asking maintenance to come check it out, it was suggested that we run hot water for half an hour until it ran clear. Then we were told that housekeeping only comes once every 3 days, but that someone would be by after our 48 hours here - no one ever came by. We talked to THREE different people and no one was helpful - only blamed us for the crap we had to endure here. And Uber Eats does not exist here. We went to a few breweries today; Idletime had great beer & food - but this place!??! Do not be fooled, the "morning breakfast" is likely bulk purchased items from a grocery store - I even heard an 8 year old refer to the croissants as "cheap" and she was not wrong. It's all a gross exaggeration of anything remotely RESORT or SPA related. Spend your money elsewhere. Seriously. We would never pay full price for this place. I feel bad for those who did. What a rip off.
