Grilled salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes

For my client's birthday, I wanted to treat her to one of her favorites--the 9-ounce Victoria's Filet Mignon from Outback Steakhouse. I also ordered the Delmonico Ribeye for myself, and we got everything to go. After placing the order online, I was given an estimated pickup time of 5:05-5:10 p.m. When I arrived, I pulled into one of the curbside pickup spots. The order took about 10 minutes longer than expected, but honestly, knowing it had just come off the grill reassured me that our food was fresh and hot! My client's filet mignon was delicious, tender, and cooked beautifully. She chose two baked potatoes for her sides because she absolutely loves those things! She picked Outback specifically because of the Victoria's Filet Mignon, and it definitely didn't disappoint. My Delminico Ribeye (15 ounces!) was probably the most tender steak I've had outside of my own home. The flavor from the marinade became a little overpowering once I got about a quarter of the way through it, but it was still very good. For my sides, I ordered a baked potato and upgraded my other side to a wedge salad (+$2.99). That salad could have easily been a meal all by itself! Altogether, I only managed to finish half of my steak and salad. I brought the rest home for my daughter, who is currently enjoying every bite (and the entire baked potato to herself!). I love coming to Outback whenever I want to give my client a special treat. Her birthday dinner was fresh, satisfying, and exactly what she was hoping for!

I feel like this place is over priced for quality and service. We came in because my husband kept hearing a radio advertisement and couldn't resist but it was very disappointing. They have a huge restaurant but diners are only seated in the bar. The service was very slow and unenthusiastic even though the staff outnumbered the guests by a mile. The food was okay but not for the price- They have a $10 dinner to go. You can order if you're eating in the restaurant and I thought that might be the saving grace.- but sadly, the food was so dry. I feel like it must've been a couple days old. The steak and shrimp pasta was extremely fishy, the blooming onion was a greasy mess. The dinner side salad was missing toppings, the entree salad had entirely too much dressing and was soggy. I don't even think I would be willing to give it another shot because I just think it's past their prime and they're struggling to keep up with current costs. Maybe they could revitalize it and turn it into like a fast casual restaurant

Outback has LEVELED UP!!! I've been coming here for years to celebrate birthdays with family & this evening was different. Our food was by far the best I've ever had from outback. I mean the QUALITY, and the FLAVOR, was absolutely AMAZING. Idk who the chef was tonight but they're really doing something right because WOW. SHOUTOUT TO YATZIREE!! Our server was the sweetest girl named Yatziree, and she was great. Never let our drinks go empty, made sure we had everything we needed at all times. She was SO SWEET, kind and patient with my Dad who loves making friends & gave her a whole speech about his favorite football team, while she was cleaning the table. She stopped and intently listened even though she had no idea what he was talking about. Even made sure to bring the team over to sing him Happy Birthday when he least expected it! Seriously Bless her heart. 10/10 will come back and ask to sit in her section. Thank you Yatziree!

We started with the Tasmanian Chili, which was surprisingly one of my favorite parts of the meal. It was more satisfying than your average chili. Even went home and tried a copycat recipe (not the same but good). We also ordered the steak and ribs combo with a baked potato and broccoli on the side. The steak was cooked medium rare and could not have been cooked any better. It was tender and juicy! The ribs were flavorful and fell right off the bone. The baked potato was very comforting and the broccoli was cooked perrrrfect with a great texture. Our server/bartender Riley was friendly, attentive, and personable. She helped make the experience even more enjoyable and made sure we were well taken care of the whole time.

Went to Outback for my birthday. I had a great experience. My Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Our server Jolene was very attentive. She gave service that went above and beyond.

I have had a $50 gift card burning a hole in my pocket for probably about 8 years for this place and finally thought to go. It probably has been at least ten years since I been to a an Outback. Came here hangry for a late lunch today on Wednesday and arrived around 2pm. We stood at the front for little while with nobody around to greet or seat or answer the incessant ringing of the telephone. It was a awkward moment where I considered walking out. They are famous for their blooming onion so we had to get that. It was large and tasty but half way through, it was a bit too much of the same taste. Definitely large enough for 4 as we couldn't finish it. Got the boomerang mozzarella sticks and those were surprisingly good. Flakey on the outside and gooey on the inside. The prices for an entree were REALLY high... $35+ so opted for a $17.99 steak sandwich and I got the steak lunch for $13.99 that came with one side. Both were just alright. Hubs didn't finish his. Said it didn't have much flavor. Mine was not memorable at all. Even Sizzler has a better steak. Our waitress was very kind but overworked. She had 6 tables for a total of 20 people? She was running around like a nut but managed the best she could. The whole place was understaffed. Our lunch was $80 after tip. For all the places to eat, this was not a good value or experience. I would rather go to Cattlemens for that price or even Buckhorn grill and get the tastiest tri tip ever. We will not be back. I am glad I didn't have to be out of pocket that much or i would be upset.

From the moment I walked in, Ashley gave me eye contact and I felt welcomed instantly. I was craving their infamous 'bloomin onions' and it came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the take out meal option is worth every dollar. If you're looking for a loving server to match the great food; be sure to ask for Ashley behind the bar.

Overall the restaurant was fine. The building has seen some better days and has been in Roseville forever. I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and they are very consistent which is what one would expect from a chain restaurant. Lobster was great and they made the meat easy to get to. Waiter was friendly and dealt with the chaos of how my family tries to communicate well. The broccoli was seasoned perfectly. It made it quite edible. All the potato products were good. No complaints on the meat. Some items that were supposed to come out with the plates were missed and our waiter caught it and made it right. Ambiance was a bit dark and not in the fancy restaurant kind of way, more like the creepy gas station kind of way. We had a reservation but still ended up waiting 25 minutes. Overall most things were fine. I will likely be back but only if somebody gives me gift cards for the place because if I'm dropping $200 I have other restaurants in mind.

visited Outback Steakhouse to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing. While our server was friendly and personable, the service itself fell short. We never received the complimentary bread that other tables around us were given, and I was never asked if I wanted a refill on my soda or offered another beer. It felt like we were somewhat overlooked during the visit, which was especially disheartening on a day meant to feel special. That said, the food was great--everything we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. I usually enjoy dining at Outback, and while the food didn't disappoint, I hope the service is more attentive next time. On a separate note restrooms especially should be checked regularly I had to use seat covers to wipe lol not fun.

Right from the moment I walked through the door, the first thing I noticed was how clean and well-maintained the entire establishment was. The ambiance set a great tone for the evening, which was immediately backed up by very good service. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and paced the meal perfectly, making sure we were taken care of without ever feeling rushed. The culinary experience started on a high note with the complimentary bread service. The bread was fresh, warm, and very tasty, especially when paired with the delicious butter provided. Next up was the fried calamari appetizer, which turned out to be another highlight of the night. It arrived at the table well-seasoned and perfectly crispy, avoiding the rubbery texture that ruins so many seafood dishes. They also served a salad that honestly looked quite good and fresh. However, I didn't pay it too much attention, let's be honest, nobody comes to a high-end steakhouse to eat rabbit food, so it went mostly untouched. For the main course, the sides and the presentation were mostly impressive. The baked beans were a standout companion to the meal, cooked until they were soft and packed with flavor. Then came the main event: the prime rib. In terms of preparation, the kitchen nearly nailed it. It was incredibly juicy, tender, and beautifully seasoned, arriving at a near-perfect medium-rare. Unfortunately, the execution was marred by a major butchery oversight. One entire end of the cut was completely un-trimmed, consisting of pure fat and silver skin. Because of this lack of preparation, only about 9 ounces of the 12-ounce portion was actually edible. Bottom line: The flavor profiles here are undeniable. Everything we tasted was very good, but the failure to properly trim a premium cut of meat was a disappointing mistake for a steakhouse. I would still recommend giving them a try, but hopefully, the kitchen pays a bit closer attention to their butchery next time.

The same food was ordered..Prime Rib Sandwiches with fries and garlic fries and Blue Cheese garlic bread. The two meals were so different. The thick cut, juicy prime rib last week was thinly sliced, tough meat. We asked gor provolone cheese and it appeared to have a half slice of cheese. The fries in Rancho Cordova were delicious..double fried, the fries on Taylor Rosd were not even hot..warm..but not the same. This is a family owned restaurant, not a Franchise but the quality between the two is totally different..Had we eaten earlier in the day..we would have not been hungry but we were told the food was excellent so saved ourselves for an early dinner..Do not go to Taylor Road if you want a delicious, excellent meal at Happy Hour.. We will not be back to this location..The blue cheese Garlic toast arrived when we were done after we wanted to know what happened to it..That was good. My friends' cocktail, ordered at the time we questioned the food quality differences..arrived after the Manager came to our table to inquire why we were not happy with our dinner..our server did not ever come back and ask how our meal was and I had to go to the cocktail server to ask for ketchup for the barely warm, tasteless fries.. Will not be back.

From the moment I walked through the doors, the first thing I noticed was how pristine the establishment was. A clean environment always sets a great tone for a meal, and this place immediately felt welcoming and well-maintained. The positive first impression only got better once I was seated. The service here is truly top-tier. My server, Hailey, did a fantastic job throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured that my dining experience flowed seamlessly from start to finish. Good service can make or break a night out, and Hailey definitely elevated mine. As for the food, I started my meal with the Caesar salad. Unfortunately, it was missing the anchovies, which was a bit of a letdown for a classic Caesar. However, despite that missing ingredient, the salad itself was still incredibly fresh, crisp, and very tasty overall. For the main course, I opted for the Ale-Braised Short Rib. The execution on the meat was phenomenal; the short rib was exceptionally tender and practically pulled apart with a fork. It was paired beautifully with a side of smooth, savory mashed potatoes. My only minor critique of the main dish came down to the presentation of the vegetables. The carrots were served with their stems still attached. While it may add a rustic aesthetic, I am generally not a big fan of having non-edible items served on my plate. I wrapped up the evening on a high note with their seasonal mango cheesecake. This dessert was an absolute standout. The kitchen did not skimp on the fruit, loading the dessert with generous chunks of fresh, sweet mango. The cheesecake base itself was the perfect texture because it was incredibly rich, dense, and creamy without being overly heavy. It was the perfect finale to a wonderful dinner. The bottom line is that this restaurant delivers a winning combination of excellent service and high-quality food. Despite the missing anchovies and the small presentation quirk with the carrots, the overall experience easily passed muster. I will definitely be returning.

Appetizers always on point (tonight we got the calamari and onion rings). I have never had better calamari anywhere. The onion rings were very unique! Nothing like you would normally see. The breading was ultra flaky and thin, which really allowed the sweet onion to shine. Very decadent preparation. For an entree my wife and I both got the NY Strip. It's a generous cut of prime grade meat. Mine was medium rare while her's was medium. We both thought it was delicious and perfectly cooked. I subbed out the mashed potatoes for a full baked potato with all the toppings. So satisfying. Our kids got kid stuff (burger, Mac and cheese) and seemed to enjoy it. The kids mini burgers are super thick patties. Like what you would see on a half pound burger, just smaller diameter. That much beef to bread/cheese is not usually what a kid wants, but he did it at one of them and the fries. My 14yo daughter got the normal Mac and cheese and loved it (so did I, as I finished it.). We loved the pão de queijo (those addictive Brazilian cheese breads that are crispy outside and soft and cheesy inside), bacon-wrapped chicken, various skewers, and especially one of the best I have had chimichurri sauce that was bright, garlicky, and just perfect. The tri-tip sliders were a highlight too, tender, flavorful, and gone way too fast. These are not giant sliders. They're finger size but very tasty. There were other nice looking bites as well; overall, plenty to share and enjoy without feeling like you're missing out. The drinks were another win. Well made, balanced, refreshing, and hitting all the right notes (think classic Brazilian cocktails done right).
