Good stuff! There really is a good lunch spot in Western Palm Coast. After several less-than-satisfactory lunches, we finally found this Outback to be better than average in every respect. Our server was great. Efficient. Friendly. Professional. Attentive. She was very good. Our meals were also delightful. The lunch sirloin was quite tasty. The recommended blooming fried chicken breast was also very well-prepared. Our chosen sides - broccoli and mashed potato - tasted fresh. 3 stars for "meets expectations "- it's an Outback Steakhouse and overall you know you will get a good steak and a nice atmosphere and this restaurant did not disappoint. We did have a hiccup because we had ordered the "onion petals" which used to be on the menu but are not there anymore, and our waiter said they could do it... and they never appeared. At the end of our meal, we asked to have them taken off our check. Immediately he did so, and came back with a box with said onion petals! Apparently they had produced them just never delivered them to us! The rest of the food was good. The filet was cooked to the correct temperature, and the baked potatoes was good. I ordered the pasta with steak and shrimp. It was okay but needed more sauce, and they were quick to bring some extra. The steak was a small skewer (like the shrimp on the Barbie) and the little bits were overcooked (to me). Overall, just okay. Outback is always a pleasant experience for us. I enjoy being able to write honest observations & reviews of places visited...and with that goal at the forefront of my focus, I re-wrote portions of this review. 6oz steak (grilled to perfection!), Loaded Baked Potato ("too greasy for my palate) , 'half & half' tea (refillable, no extra charge) for me. 6oz steak, French Onion soup (highly recommended!), great looking salad (& tasted as good as it looked!), & same yummy tea for my friend. Shared two, small loaves of Pumpernickel with salted, whipped butter (at least, that's what we were told; Margarine makes me ill)... plus one 'Chocolate Thunder'... way too much to eat; I had to bring the steak home! Big screen TVs, full bar , thunder & lightning outside, not over-crowded inside, made Outback a great choice this afternoon to meetup with an old friend from out of town! The one exception was being seated in a booth adjoining a gentleman who was obviously ill; he couldn't stop coughing! And there were plenty of other booths, but no... we couldn't be re-seated. The manager, Timur, stopped by the tables, greeting folks; sharing pleasantries. Became very ill for 6 hrs after leaving Outback, but cannot be 100% sure it was the oily potato skin, butter combined with dessert, or just the potato. Everything else tasted . I've eaten at many Outback restaurants across the country & never became ill, so I am at a loss 'why' this one. Perhaps, my gut just can't do oil/butter/dessert combo. My wife and I saw 4 Outback Steakhouse commercials this morning about their 4 course lunch specials starting at $14.99. When the last one aired we both said let's go! Lol. We got there and they only had a few tables taken, so we didn't have to wait. We selected our meals from the 4 course menu option. I got the small steak and broccoli, and she got the half rack of ribs and a salad. We both got the French Onion soup. The soup was out pretty quickly, but was way too salty. So disappointed! My steak was pretty good, but her ribs were so full of fat, they were basically inedible. The waiter apologized and asked if she wanted anything else, but once the appetite is gone, it's gone. He mentioned that other patrons also complained about the ribs, but they're still serving them!? Really? He took our plates away and hers still had untouched fat filled ribs. They did not offer to remove them from the bill. Sad when you leave a restaurant hungry after paying $58 for two with just iced tea as your drinks. Lesson learned. We had visited Outback regularly up until two years ago. The food and service had became less than desirable.........We were recently told by friends that it had been taken over by new management and the food and service had improved. We decided to give it another try and so glad that we did! The food and service were excellent. They had multiple specials which were excellent values especially in these difficult times. I had the shrimp special which was tasty along with an overstuffed baked potato and a generous salad. All delicious and fresh and presented well. My husband has the chicken on the Barbie special which was also wonderful and our friends both had the sirloin steak special with all the fixings. All great at a terrific price. On February 18, 2024 we attempted to have dinner at Outback. The wait was 25 + minutes. We noticed that there were several tables open in the area behind the reception area but were open and no one was seated. We waited until we were seated but were seated at the table right at the entrance. It was a chilly, wet evening and the air conditioning was blasting directly on us. Why we couldn't have been at a better table was a mystery. We were looking around and the place really looked old, beaten up and dirty. We sat down but decided it was not going to be enjoyable so we left. I had visited Outbacks as early as 1990 in northern VIrginia and the food, surroundings and general look were fine. This review is for the online ordering and curbside pick up during the Corona virus pandemic. The online was smooth and easy with you being able to pick the date and time for when you want to get your order. Pick up was as easy as can be, with them bringing your order to your car and placing the food in the passengers seat or back seat depending on your request. The only issue I had was arriving 15 minutes early from my pick up time and no one greeted you or asked what your name for the order was and only went by what car and color you had. He denies of course what the guy said on the phone and says he will take care of me and my family for the inconvenience in the form of a gift card. I tell him no he doesn't have to do that but he insists. so today I get the gift card in the mail to take care of me and my family, mind you there were four of us. My husband was craving Outback's 'Blooming Onion' so we visited the restaurant located in Palm Coast, FL. We decided to sample different items and share them. Ordering on line was easy and the order was delivered curbside as we had requested. The order was well packed and our dinner made it home in good shape.
