Came Sunday for an early lunch. We got seated immediately and got water and bread as soon as we sat. We started with the loaded baked potato soup. This was pretty good. I then had the bloomin burger and it was missing the bloomin onions in it. The waiter quickly addressed this. The burger was okay. My mom ordered a steak and she wasn't a fan of the taste. We then ordered the Cheesecake and this was just okay as well. After we got our food we didn't see the waiter again. The restaurant is really big inside and a big bar in the center. We had a really good meal here. I find it to be mostly dependable for a worthwhile steak meal. My margarita was very good. My boyfriend was happy with the Bloody Mary drink. I had a house salad and it was fresh and had lots of croutons. My filet mignon was cooked just right. It was flavor packed. The baked potato needed more sour cream. Our server was not around as much as we could have liked, so I just ate it dry mostly. He ordered a ribeye which be liked. He ate the whole thing. He ordered fries with it and said they were good. Let's talk about it. I ordered a pizza next door, and I decided to come in for a quick drink, and man, the drinks were delicious and even better priced at $7 each. I had the blueberry lavender lemonade and the piña koala. The piña koala has a fantastic presentation, as you could tell, and the blueberry lavender lemonade was just absolutely delicious. I could've had 10 of those in a row, but the pizza was done and we had to go. The bartender was extremely nice, very patient. We even got free bread, but of course, we weren't staying for dinner. If I could give this place a 0 I would. I honestly don't know what happened to this location but it was honestly awful. We went on a Saturday midday and it was empty, which is very unusual for this location. We quickly discovered why. The bloomin onion was dripping in grease, it tasted like the oil they were using hadn't been changed in weeks. The cheese fries were honestly the only good thing about the meal and what got us through it. For entrees I ordered the 6 oz Victoria filet and it was truly disgusting. It was yellow, covered with fat, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a filet. The wedge salad was 99% blue cheese dressing 1% everything else. The baked potato soup was gray looking and room temperature, and honestly just gross. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp and she bit into it felt a chewy vein and just stopped. For dessert we ordered the brownie/ice cream dessert and the brownie tasted stale. Other than the fries and the crisp Diet Coke everything else was disgusting. This is the worst outback that I have ever visited. I have given them too many chances as a quick & easy option for a steak dinner. The steaks are always cooked wrong and absolutely loaded with fat. The quality of meat here is rock bottom. Their cooks must not believe is seasoning either. Their to-go booth has equally horrible service. Oh dear ..unless my husband insists I will never come here again. Not been since the pandemic and we came tonight.. The bar was filthy, to say the least...see photo. Staff were seen congregating and chatting I saw five together at one point, have you nothing to do? (how about CLEAN the bar area?), Due to the allowed chatting time they were not rushed off their feet. Toilets not over clean either. And no hand towels! So I look for a hand sanitiser station and saw one near the ladies restrooms and located where employees come out of the kitchen, and guess what? Empty. I asked for extra butter, never got it. Husband order a lobster tail with his steak, we never got it. I ordered a blue cheese pecan side salad and the amount of blue cheese was a joke, so I asked the server before he left, may I have some more please? It came quickly and was the smallest amount in the tiny pot, I almost laughed! Then the bar lady said how is everything? I said fine however I have asked the server for more blue cheese as look there are hardly any? Then she brought me a teeny tiny amount without realising I had actually got a second helping. So now I have three amounts of blue cheese!!!...and.... still not enough. Two years ago when I had this salad the amount was decent and NOW? mmmmm. Also the pecans were scant too. I should have stuck with the standard side salad, and saved the EXTRA 1 dollar charge for the so called upgrade. The lettuce was also lack Lustre and had a few browning spots on the leave edges, meaning, hanging around or not the freshiest. I ordered their coconut shrimp which was a favourite of mine in the past, and it was ok but stone cold. To be fair my husband's porterhouse steak, he said was good. Should be right? its a steakhouse after all. Also the bread that we used to love came out cold, when in the past it was lovely and warm and the butter oozed. This outback is terrific. They have the best severs and a great manager. The food is top-notch. The last time I was there, my father inlaw lost his watch. Our server David found it and turned it in. OK so I have not been to this out back in about a year or more. I have eaten at many different steak houses ranging from the local steakhouse to upscale. I really didn't have high expectations. We arrived around 5:30 PM. It was not a lot of customers, but it was early. minutes after we sat ,we were greeted by our waitress who was very nice. We started off with an ice cold beer and the blooming onion. Both were very good as expected. I ordered the sirloin and lobster tail with potato soup and a side salad. This is where everything went downhill. although the salad was crisp and cold it outshined the sirloin steak. The steak was ordered to be medium rare, and it was medium at its best. The flavor was not there. It was very bland, lukewarm and overcooked. The lobster tail was good for a small tail that was about three bites and I also want to add the potato soup average but not terrible. And I want to emphasize that our waitress was extremely sweet and attentive. I literally saw her interact with an older pair of customers that were in a bad mood and complained about everything and challenging to get a deal that was only being offered on Wednesday. What an interesting experience. We live in Miami Lakes and want to go somewhere nearby. Our friend and us decided Outback would be good and we had not been there in a while. We ordered the bloomin onions, it was good, a little too greasy for my taste. I ordered the Shrimp on the Barbie, it was delicious. My friend ordered the pork chops, my husband the sirloin/shrimp combination, steak medium with broccoli and loaded baked potato, my friend's husband ordered the same combination, steak medium rare with loaded baked potato with asparagus. When food arrived, i got my dish, it was good and warm, my friend really disliked the pork chops and they were cold, my husbands steak was extremely overcooked and the rest of his food was cold. The other dish was refrigerator cold. Steak was medium, not medium rare. All the dishes were sent back except mine. When the came back, my husband got a well fine steak again, with asparagus instead of broccoli, the other steak was medium instead of medium rare, and broccoli instead of asparagus. My friend which changed her plate to the sirloin, got the medium rare. They took their food to go. They weren't hungry and I had finished my food. The manager was very nice, tried to accommodate and deducted yo entrees and the desert. That was a generous compensation, but we did not get to enjoy a nice evening out with friends. Amazing service at Outbacks in Miami lakes! My husband and I decided to have dinner today here after we hadn't come for years. We were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately since they didn't have a wait time. Our waitress Tania was very attentive to us as she stopped by various times to make sure everything was okay. We started off with a new appetizer on the menu called "Aussie Twisted Ribs" which is deep fried ribs covered in a tangy bbq sauce with a blooming onion sauce drizzle. It comes with side of pickled cucumbers that compliments the ribs perfectly. It was absolutely AMAZING !! A must try !!!!! The meat falls right off the bone. We tried out their new drinks; the watermelon Rita and cherry limeade. I got to give props to Cortney the bartender for hooking us up with some strong drinks! They did not disappoint, we definitely got our buzz on. For dinner we each got Bone in Ribeyes grilled on an open flame. Props to the kitchen crew!! Both of our steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature. My husband ordered the steakhouse Mac and Cheese as one of his sides and he hasn't stopped raving about it since we left. My sweet potato and Cesar salad sides were also top notch. For dessert, we got the triple layer carrot cake. Made in house, there was actual shredded carrots in each bit. Unbelievable! Some of the best icing I've ever had on a cheesecake too. We finished the whole thing Andres the manager was also an absolute delight. My friend and I actually wanted to go to Applebee's originally but we remembered Applebee's food is trash and we only would go there for their drinks. Since Applebee's was kind of far from where we worked today, I made the quick decision to go to Outback for lunch and it was only a couple minutes from where we were. Soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat at a table by the hostess. Our waiter Courtney seemed very nice and mellow, he greeted us and asked what drinks we wanted, I had the Boozy Cherry Limeade and my friend had The Wallaby Darned. Anyhoooo, for my main dish I wanted this pasta called Queensland Chicken & Shrimp Pasta because my dad bought some and I thought it was great but we ended ordering Kookaburra Wings which were top tier! They were fresh, hot out the grease. I need someone to spill the secret spices, I need that. Enough about the food, the location we went to was the Miami Lakes, it was near where we worked at for the day. We basically went around the time they open which was good, it was empty, clean and not too loud. I will be back soon, I might end up at a different location though, who knows and I'm going to buy either the wings again or Queensland pasta. There always seems to be an issue when we order at this Outback. Recently, my boyfriend and I ordered pick-up at this location and were SHOCKED at the way our food was cooked. My boyfriend ordered the 9 oz Filet cooked MEDIUM WELL and this is what he got. Disgusting to say the least. Of course, he didn't get to enjoy his meal. Most likely never going to order take out from here again considering that this isn't the first time we order from here and have some sort of issue with our meal. read more
