Medium cooked ribeye
Gabe P.

I was gifted a gift card to Outback, so that's why I'm back. I decided to sit at the bar on a Friday night. The service was fast and cordial. I ordered some $8 frozen drink , which I didn't love. I need to stop ordering stuff like this. I eventually got a Stella since they didn't have the best beer selection. Oh well... The star of the show was definitely the wedge salad! Whew, this salad was absolutely delicious!!!! I didn't love the complimentary bread because it was hard. Is Outback back???! Maybe so!

Salad....extra cucumbers!!!

I had not been to Outback in a long time but man have I missed out. It was good even though I had to ask for a medium cooked steak, again. The servers were very nice at the to go area, she offered me a soda because I had to wait. I went inside for just a minute and it was crowded and clean. Sorry, I thought I had a pic of my actual steak. The only thing was the salad dressing was nothing like it used to be back in the day. It was just ok.

Added grilled onions but really nice necessary as the steak was nicely flavored.

My server, Brooke, was polite, friendly and helpful. Attentive but not overbearing. House salad was perfect. Mashed potatoes were great and my 6oz sirloin was cooked exactly as I asked and tasty. Restaurant was clean.

BLUF: the food is as good as Outback always is, but the service is terrible. Don't come here hangry, or at all if you have to be anywhere. The restaurant is clean, and they play good music at an appropriate volume. I was staying next door at the Comfort Inn, so I was excited to see an outback within walking distance. I was seated by a friendly hostess who asked if I wanted a seat at the bar. I declined, and she said, "How about a booth in the bar?" I said ok with internal trepidation, knowing that the bar service is usually poor at any restaurant. As I sat there, I noticed a few of the wait staff members feverishly working their side of the restaurant while the bar staff strolled the aisles of the desolate bar area, ignoring that I was sitting there. The hostess walked by a few times asking other employees where the waitress for the bar was, and when she found her, the hostess pointed out to the waitress that she sat a few tables for her, and the waitress rudely nodded as if she didn't want to be bothered. I waited about 10 minutes with zero contact before going back to the hostess and asking to be sat in an area being serviced. She took me to the busy side, where a frustrated waiter told me, "I'll be right with you," as he looked around in disbelief. When he came back, he was extremely friendly and more than accommodating. It's a simple matter of one person carrying the load, and unfortunately, it impacts the rest of the restaurant. When I ordered my food, it was out within minutes, and my waiter, David, even gave me my tea for the price of water because of the wait. Thank you, David A., for the excellent service! The other wait staff...yikes.

The food was great and the service was good. The restaurant itself could just some updated carpet and flooring but otherwise great.

Food was horrible and there was a very long wait to get served although there were not many diners. Looked dirty. Will not eat there again.

Several appetizers came out cold; we politely sent them back, and they returned hot. No issue there. I ordered a New York Strip cooked medium, with fries, a side of ranch, and a Caesar salad. When my steak arrived, it was not medium -- it was rubbery and very well done. I calmly asked for it to be remade and reassured the server that I understood it wasn't her fault. While waiting for the replacement, I asked -- very politely -- what happened to the salad that never came out. Her response was shocking. She said, "Y'all kept adding people. I have to make the salads, so I can't stop and make your salad." The tone was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I replied, "Okay, can I just get everything together then?" She responded, "I don't know," with visible attitude and absolutely no apology. When the replacement steak arrived, unbelievably, it was once again well done instead of medium. I showed it to her directly. At that point, I asked for a manager. She casually said, "Sure," but no manager ever came. After waiting, I had to get up and find the manager myself. I explained that this was the rudest, nastiest, most unprofessional service I have ever experienced in my life. Thankfully, the manager handled the situation appropriately, apologized, and had the food remade correctly. The manager was wonderful -- attentive, professional, and solution-focused. The contrast was astonishing: one of the best managers I've encountered paired with easily the worst server experience in history. What should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a shocking display of poor service and disregard for basic professionalism.l

Let's start with the appetizer: Parmesan-crusted spinach dip with these soft, fried pita pieces. Not chips. Not crunchy. These were warm, fluffy, little clouds of joy. I almost canceled my entrée and just committed to a life with that dip. Then came the star of the show -- the Parmesan-crusted lamb chops. BABY. When I tell you these things were seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there guarding the recipe... I mean it. Crispy, cheesy, juicy perfection. Why are these not on the menu year-round?? LongHorn, I need answers. This is a public service issue at this point. And because I clearly make great life decisions, I got not one but TWO sides of Brussels sprouts drenched in this honey sauce. Sweet, savory, slightly crispy... I felt like I was eating vegetables but also like I was cheating on my diet at the same time. Elite behavior. Of course, I tried to be responsible and got a salad with ranch. You know... for balance. Health. Wellness. Overall review: 10/10, no notes, except GIVE ME MY LAMB CHOPS ALL YEAR LONG. I will be back, and I will not be acting civilized.

The baked beans are very flavorful and delicious too. I usually order the bone-in ribs, but you never know what you're gonna get. Sometimes they're meatier and juicier; other times they're cooked more, with a burnt-like skin. I personally like a little fat on mine, and those portions often lack that. But then come the onion rings. Oh my. I tried them today, and they were wonderful. Some Yelpers complained you don't get many. Well, I had to bag some up because I couldn't finish them alongside my other sides. These are not rings -- these are onion wreaths. Huge slices, made in-house, with a breading so good it should be illegal. I will definitely order them again, and I recommend others risk the carb coma. In fact, I bagged up most of my other sides too. It was a lot of food for one sitting. I felt like a bear preparing for hibernation. My husband commented that Memphis is known for barbecue, but Alabama has some great places too. Full Moon Barbeque is a prime example. Oh, and if you want to sample something on the menu, they're happy to oblige. I wasn't sure about an item, so they let me try it - much better than ordering a full portion and being disappointed. Honestly, I don't think you'll be dissatisfied with anything on the menu. The service here is excellent. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and mannerly. They genuinely want to make sure you enjoy your food. They check on you without hovering, and they seem to actually care about your experience, not just turning tables. It's the kind of service that makes you want to come back. One more thing: if you want authentic Southern sweet tea, order it here. It's mouthwatering -- literally. The kind of sweet tea that makes your eyes close for a second after the first sip. Add a lemon slice, and you'll want more even after you've quenched your thirst.

The Jamaican chicken tacos were okay, nothing special, literally just chicken (which was cold...again), pineapple, lettuce and cheese. I guess the pineapple alone was supposed to be the Jamaican part, because there was no other flavors. The burger was good. The copy cat chicken was okay as well, it just had one piece of bacon cut in half sitting on top of the chicken with a glob of melted cheese. Thankfully the chicken was room temp, at best, but warmer than the other chicken items. The Mac and cheese just tasted like kraft Mac and cheese, no seasoning included. The Brussel sprouts were the star of the show, they were sooo good. The service was good, our waitress was very nice and friendly and brought everything out relatively quick. I think they had just changed the menu because we attempted to order the chicken parm and it said on the menu that it comes with two sides but the waitress said it didn't but she would give the sides to us free of charge but...the menu said it came with two sides...but then they ended up being out of noodles for the chicken parm.
