Simply put: This is one of the more professional and lovely businesses I have ever engaged. Flexible, responsive, crazy positive. The "complaint" that you get different walkers each time is nonsense in my book. I regularly schedule visits in the early am for same day and they've never let us down. You can't expect the unparalleled flexibility that they provide AND super consistency of walker. Frankly, our dog doesn't care, she loves people. The mobile site works great for scheduling. Can't recommend them enough. Jelly agrees. read more

Out-U-Go! Pet Care - Dog Walkers Near Me

See all

I have not even heard back yet because I just requested for a call from them for a dog walker that is not very expensive and could possibly be a permanent dog walker for me because I can't walk her in the heat or super cold weather that Chicago is known for! read more

Our dog Walker was an interesting guy with some personal hygiene issues. Had no experience walking dogs and the last trial was when he showed up bare feet m. Neighbors almost called the police because they thought there was a homeless person trying to break into our home when I called how you go they express surprise but I find interesting as they never check in on the dog walkers and not once did I get any questions about him he seems like a nice enough guy read more

Love Out-U-Go and our walker Carrie!! She's the absolute best and cares so much about our two crazy pups. Our dog's favorite part of the day is their walk with Carrie. Would highly recommend Out-U-Go!! read more

Out-U-Go! in Oak Park has been a lifesaver on quite a few occasions! My mom sometimes has to work late and the Out U Go team comes right over and takes me out. (I would be mortified if I ever had to go in the house!) When mom goes on business trips, they make it possible for me to stay at home instead of going somewhere where I have to spend my time in a smallish wire box with too much noise... The team is always friendly -- they give me lots of loving, and throw in some treats! They don't mind feeding me my special food and giving me medicine when it's allergy season. They are always amazed at my energy...how fast I can run the stairs, how I talk to everyone...absolutely everyone! And are even understanding when I have to tell the big dogs on the other side of the street that I am every bit as tough as them. Sometimes I get in the first word AND the last on that topic! They always take care to make sure I get the right amount of exercise, that I have plenty of time to take care of business -- they always check my water, and scratch my belly. One of them even said that I have "buff buns"...must be all that agility work I do. I would highly recommend Out U Go to any dog who wants a back up plan for those tough days when their mom is putting in overtime to bring home the beggin strips. Artie "The Pom" Carlisle read more

Out-U-Go! Pet Care - Artie Woofs! Out-U-Go! - Dog Walkers Near Me

We used Out-U-Go of Oak Park for about two years to visit our two kitties when both of us were out of town (which happened a lot). The service was excellent, pet sitters are highly professional. They left a note after each visit, watered our plants, picked the mail. They contacted us immediately when something was not as expected (e.g. once I forgot to mention that treats schedule has changed). We moved to the East Coast and really wish we could take Out-U-Go with us! thank you Out-U-Go for keeping us sane and kitties well take care of! read more

Out-U-Go! Pet Care - Zifa and Tim are sending purr-purr to Out-U-Go team! - Dog Walkers Near Me

We've been using OUG (Oak Park) for a couple of years and they've been terrific. We have one senior cat and one super senior cat who both require complicated medication schedules. There were a couple times my scaredy cat hid from the sitter and couldn't be medicated. They took the situation very seriously and had the sitter who did have success with that cat go to the house daily going forward. I'd definitely recommend them! read more

It pains me to write a bad review about Out-U-Go because I really, really wanted to like this place. Mostly, because I travel quite a lot both for business and pleasure, and a reliable pet sitter is crucial for me to have at-hand anywhere I live. With that, I have to also point out that I have used two other sitter services for my cat in the past in other locations I've lived (one in Palatine and one in the East Lakeview area of Chicago, both of which I've reviewed here on Yelp with 5-star ratings). The disclaimer to this review is that I hired a sitter over Thanksgiving, so the holiday may have caused a few of the issues that irked me in the end. 1. Similarly to what a Yelp reviewer also posted for Out-U-Go, I too had several sitters come in to care of my cat while I was away (at least 4). The only difference with myself and that Yelper was that I was out of the country, not just out of state, and I was at the mercy of whomever was in possession of my keys at the time. This made me very unhappy. The other services I have used gave me a dedicated sitter during my entire time as a client, not every single visit. 2. Out-U-Go does not provide text message or email updates. Again, I have to compare it to the other services I've used where I would get text messages in addition to notes left on the counter after each visit. This ensured that the sitter was coming at the time promised and gave me an instant sense of calm and relief wherever I was in the US. When I went out of the country last year, the sitter even emailed me with pictures each day! However, when I asked the manager about text/email updates, she informed me that they do not offer those services. 3. Cost. The cost for each visit is astronomical. I even had to send the manager a comparison shop of other sitter services in the area. She eventually agreed to taking a small amount off per visit (no more than $2) and although I appreciated the gesture and the call to explain that they charge more because they're bonded and insured (etc.) what I really wanted to say was, "So!". The other two pet services I've used (including the one in one of the trendiest parts on Chicago) cost nearly $10 less per visit, cost less for surcharges like holiday visits and waived weekend fees and were also bonded and insured. 4. I know it's a little thing, but this year I got a Christmas card from the Chicago pet sitter, personally signed by the manager and the sitter who used to care of my cat. This year I got an e-card from Out-U-Go that wasn't personalized at all. Kind of a bummer. Quite honestly, I will never use Out-U-Go again. I know they probably mean well, have dedicated staff, and are working to make their services exceptional, but they're missing key elements to make them competitive in the market. Without small gestures like text messages, lower prices and dedicated sitters for each client, I don't know who would want to continue to use their services. It seems like a waste of money. read more

Wonderful service for my furry family members. We were going out of town and didn't want to board our cats since one of them gets seriously stressed out when he has to be away from home. I was excited to read the notes when I got home, it was a fun way to hear about how everything went. It is a bit pricier than other services I've used, but it was not too much more and worth it to know my cats were in good hands. I'd recommend the services and use it again. Five stars all the way. read more

I thought this service was excellent. My RVP's (that's a long story) took pity on Izzy and I (my dog and I) while I was recovering and could not walk her. At first I didn't want to trust anyone with my girl but forced myself and I was not sorry. They are professional, kind, friendly and obviously they all love dogs. This last time Rich and John did most of the walking and it became a ritual for Izzy to wait for them at the front window. Everyone you talk to via phone is courteous and helpful. Plus they are very accommodating to your schedule and flexible when things come up. I was very happy with the outcome and if I ever need another dog-walking service, this will be the place. Thanks Out U Go!!!! read more

Out-u-go has been amazing. I have been using them for the past 4 years and I would never go to another place! When I say that my dog is the most thing in my life it is an understatement! I would not trust any other service to take care of my dog. The staff is extremely professional and accommodating. Out-u-go goes above and beyond what I have asked. After each service the staff member leaves a detailed note of how the time was spent with my dog. I feel that they provide a high quality service at a great price. I really can't say enough good things about them. They have helped me out in several situations. They have walked my dog in some of the worst conditions and done it with such a positive attitude. The best thing is when I have to work ten hours in a row I never have to worry about my dog. read more

I can't say enough good things Out U Go. I travel for work and my family is out of town so there are times I'm on the road. Out U Go always takes such good care of my cats. Their prices are adorable and are extremely kind and loving caretakers. I trust them 100% with my cats and appreciate their diligence with them. I highly recommend Out U Go! They're amazing! read more

I love Out-U-Go! We use their kitty care when we are out of town and they do a great job watching our cats! It's so easy to schedule a visit and we know that we can count on them to show up and take care of our kitties. We trust them in our home and to look after our pets. I feel at ease when we are gone that someone trustworthy and an experienced pet owner is checking on them to make sure they are ok and given some affection. They also bring in your mail which is a plus! read more

Very reliable and trustworthy. I'm at ease while I'm away from home knowing my fur babies are well taken care of. My dog is not the easiest when it comes to warming up to strangers. None of their sitters/walkers have ever had a problem. They are real professionals. I appreciate how easy it is to book pet visits online and the flexibility of short notice booking. read more

I have been a client of Out-U-Go! for a year now. I am continually impressed by the professionalism of the office staff and their ability to be flexible with my work schedule. Oftentimes I am called to attend last minute meetings and they have always been available to accommodate my requests. The dogwalkers are very friendly and I love reading the report card that my dog gets after every walk. Not only to I find out where he goes on his walks and if he chased squirrels, but also, they note any behavior changes they might have noticed that I need to be made aware of. I enjoy receiving their monthly newsletters and appreciate their involvement in supporting local shelters and pup-related non-profits. I highly recommend! read more

A disappointment. This service was recommended by a friend who has used them for years. However, when we hired them to pet sit our cat while we were away for a week, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. I have asked them beforehand, whether they would be able to come at the same time every day and was assured it was not a problem. However, it turned out they were visiting at random hours and not the same person, but five different people! During one of the visits they set off the alarm system and the police came, and we had to deal with the situation late at night (via cell phone) from another state. Another time they forgot to arm the alarm... Out-U-Go apologized to us for the problems they caused and reduced our fee, but really, who needs this kind of stress when you are trying to go on vacation? And they are not cheap! I really expected a much more professional service. read more

I use out u go Oak Park and they are wonderful! Great walkers and are always willing to accommodate my changing schedule I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for dog walking or sitter services read more

Always very professional. And the walkers really LIKE dogs! The time may not be spot on as another person said, but things happen. A previous visit may have a mess,or they cancel, traffic may be bad but the care is wonderful. And thats the thing, These people love your dogs... even if its not the same person. They just LOVE dogs!!! And simply spoil them rotten! read more

The Oak Park location has been wonderful! We have used OUG for years with pets that have come and passed on. I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience with them. When we rescued a puppy with a broken leg they provided her with exceptional care. read more

Out U Go has never let us down. We've used them for dog walking during the work day and house sitters for vacations. Friendly, courteous service & easy to make appointments. Highly recommend. read more

Felicity is the 4th pet of ours that Out-U-Go has cared for and we couldn't be happier. They were especially great with our puppy when she had a broken leg and a lot of restrictions. I never worry about leaving my dog when I know they are caring for her. She loves their visits! read more

We have had repeated issues with Out U Go. Their sitters lack basic problem solving skills which make it difficult to trust them. One set off our house alarm but rather than calling us or OUG, they just left our dog with sirens blaring and never giving him his walk. On other occasions when they couldn't find his food, they left without feeding him. The final straw was when they no-showed for a scheduled visit, resulting in the compromised health and safety of our pup. Two thumbs way down. read more

Out U Go has been great! We've used them for here and there, as needed dog walking and they've been great. Scheduling the initial meet and greet was easy and being about to schedule/cancel visits online is so convenient. They've done a great job with our pup and we look forward to using them again. read more

We have been using OUG since 2002. They have been nothing but professional and have always put my dogs first (through surgeries, special needs, etc.). I can't imagine better pet care. We love OUG! Thank you for all you've done!! read more

These guys are very well organized, flexible and reliable. They leave a note after each walk with details and my dog (who is quite timid) seems to have adjusted to them well. I use the office in oak park and they are extremely responsive--always call back and double check dates, etc. My only disappointment is the lack of consistency in walkers. In a month there have been 5. Weekends have a different group. I'm a nurse, so I work an odd schedule but my old walkers used no more than 3 people (with 2 regulars). Maybe it will shake out over time. I did mention it to them and will update this later. read more

When we started using outugo a few years back, they were ok. Never really liked their uninformative, not believable notes at the end of visits, or the lack of electronic notification after a visit, but they seemed to do the job. Not of late though. Our dog has medical issues, of which they are well aware. On multiple recent visits, they failed, for example, to feed him despite painstakingly clear instructions. Never acknowledged our complaints or offered any sort of explanation. Today, despite confirming a visit, they failed to come at all. After being away 12hrs we came home to vomit on the floor, and a seriously freaked out dog. We will find a replacement for this service. If you care about your pet, you cannot put your trust in these people or this business. read more

I've been using Out-U-Go for years. It's very convenient, once you have an account established. I just send them an email to request dog walking, or feeding. My dog is a big fan of playgroup. They pick her up in a van and take her to a play area with other dogs. She's usually pretty tired after that so I know she's been running around a lot. The dog walkers have all been great, too. I highly recommend them for pet care services. read more

Out-U-Go has provided perfect service for my puppy - she loves her walker, Molly, and gets a lot of love and attention! They have never missed a day and have been very accommodating. It's really convenient to pay by automatic credit card, as opposed to some random person on Craigslist who requires cash. I don't have any concerns about trusting them with a key to our home or with my beloved dog. read more

I give Out U Go my highest recommendation. I have used this company for over 10 years, with 2 different dogs. The walkers are reliable and attentive to my dog and my home. My neighbors have even commented on the good care they have witnessed dog walkers giving my dog during their visits. I also appreciate the office staff members' quick response to any minor concerns. This is a trustworthy company! read more

We absolutely love out-u-go. They take excellent care of our dogs...including our rotating door of foster dogs that we have at times in our home. They are flexible and willing to come whenever we need them...or not come when we do not need them. We feel very comfortable leaving our dogs with all of the out-u-go staff. We strongly recomment this service. read more

My 13 year old Rotweiler and I have been Out U Go clients for over 3 years. Originally, I did not sign up for regular visits, and found their reservation system (by phone, email or web-form) to be very easy and convenient to use. The deadlines for scheduling a visit are reasonable, and it's easy to do day-of reservations. I love the "report card" messages we get for each visit, and I never worry when I've arranged to have them come in and get Heidi out for a walk, or even feed her when we have evening plans. I'm extremely pleased with the service, and would recommend them to anyone needing a regular or occasional pet care service. read more
