I am not alone in my profound admiration for her and her work. I've had acupuncture before with good results for pain, stress, and even quitting smoking, but what I've experienced with Dr. Jasmine goes far beyond anything I expected. She's not just an acupuncturist... she's a functional medicine practitioner who combines conventional/mainstream medical approaches with ancient Eastern healing practices and alternative therapies. In my sessions, she has practiced acupuncture with lymphatic massage, IV therapy, gua sha, and even taught me self-care techniques to use at home. If one method isn't enough, she intuitively shifts to another, with the goal of complete wellness. Dr. Jasmine knows a lot about a lot. What differentiates her from the rest is the double whammy combo of her vast knowledge and her genuine compassion. She treats everything from pain and stress to complex, chronic illnesses. She brings the sharpness of a scientist (she was once a professor of mathematics) together with the heart of a true healer. And she's constantly learning, expanding her toolkit to help her patients. I had to schedule a recent treatment around a multi day seminar she attended to learn a new technique. Every visit with her fills me with positivity and confidence that I can get better. During my last visit, I was exhausted. I hadn't slept well the night before. Dr. Jasmine devoted the last 20 minutes of the session with acupuncture that left me so energized that I have felt like I could run a marathon for the past two days. She also shares practical wisdom for health outside the clinic. She gives thoughtful (and very helpful!) tips that feel like the advice of a wise grandmother. If you are struggling with a difficult health issue or condition, please read her reviews and know that she has helped others through the hardest things. I am living proof.

After about 5 sessions with Allen during my tapering phase, I felt ready for my marathon. I was able to complete my marathon and just after my marathon felt orders of magnitude better than after my long training runs. Allen worked on reducing the swelling and inflammation which was helpful. He increased blood flow. He also focused on my knee and talked about the connection to my foot. My treatment was focused and purposeful. What I liked about Allen: He is a good listener. He is experienced and careful. He focuses on YOUR presenting issue and doesn't try to solve everything--doesn't try to upsell the patient into multiple treatments He genuinely reduced my problem/pain dramatically He doesn't overpromise. If fact, he debated whether I should make one more trip to the office--wondering if it would provide enough "incremental value." I went anyway and the formula worked for me. He has a good "bedside manner." What I like about the clinic/office: Good location Clean Hygiene is practiced Calm atmosphere People are professional The acupuncture treatment was effective for my issue. Your insurance, flex benefits, HSA may or may not cover this type of treatment. I found it required a bit of research in my plans. Acupuncture was covered for some situations, some of my coverage required referrals. If that is important to you, you may have to do some more homework to discover your plans policies. I was quite happy with the approach, treatment and results. Oh and this listing talks about a tea house which was part of their prior location but not part of this facility--that is not accurate on the yelp description.

There are also lots of other interesting things in the store as well. Though I wouldn't shop here if it weren't for the supplies I need as a Chinese medicine student. They also won't sell needles to the general public, which I like. You can, however, buy whatever herbs you like, but you should always have either Chinese medicine training or have a prescription from someone who does, because otherwise you won't know what you're doing. You can't just pick an herbal formula labeled simply for "stress" like you can in Western medicine. It doesn't work like that. I've never received any treatments from interns so I can't vouch for that, but I hear they're awesome. Their staff is very friendly and know me and my friends by name because we frequent there so much. :o) Plus! Every day they have a deal going on. I know Monday their herbs are 10-15% off, but I can't remember what the other days are.

I know they have all kinds of herbal medicine but I have not delved as of yet.

Accessibility and cost have always been an issue. Wally and staff welcome the opportunity for acupuncture to be accessible to anyone and everyone, no discrimination. Of course, I respect the request to be clean and courteous of others (no stinky feet please!). Rather than your own private room, you do share a space with up to 13ish others. Sure, it's a shared space, but that's what makes it work! All you need is a pair of ear plugs to account for neighboring patient snores, but that's an easy modification. Xeo is amazing and she is incredibly thoughtful and listens to your concerns, thoroughly. The motto is, "I sleep with strangers". Love it! I'm so grateful for SACA and I plan to continue going as long as I'm able to. I'm very new to any sort of Eastern medicine and I hope to see the benefits of consistency over time. Thank you for this space! One curiousity -- how is air quality accounted for, given the real estate?
