There is a small parking lot plus street parking available. One interesting thing is the numerous old photos of Hamilton hanging on the walls. There is even one of the building back in the day! We ordered an Anna's pretzel with beer cheese and horse cheese as an appetizer. It was one of the best soft pretzels I've eaten! Large, warm and the 2 dipping sauces made a great accompaniment. We ordered a Reuben and fish and chips also. They were yummy as well. The bar tender/waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The prices are very moderate. I noticed they even offered lunch specials. I definitely plan on visiting again.

The waitress seemed helpful enough, though, as there's weren't many customers this early in the evening, she was too busy watching the Winter Olympics to give me more than the cursory attention needed to bring my food out and take my payment. But the food definitely made up for that. This is made-from-scratch creativity at its finest. I got the Reuben's Stones, expecting a fried fritter, but got a delicate, made-like-my-mamma-would pastry instead. It was soft and doughy inside, and jam-packed with corned beef. The fish in the fish and chips was huge, hot, and right out of the fryer. And the fries had to be made from scratch, because I've never seen that particular shape come out of a freezer bag: they looked cut naturally from the round, and were also hot and tasty. And the warm butter cake was as amazing as everyone said. Actually it's this small squat cake that looks like a muffin -- until you cut into it and realize it's soaked in syrup inside & absolutely delicious. The only disappointment were the green beans --- they were overcooked and mushy -- though maybe that's how English green beans are authentically cooked. Overall, though, my visit was a real adventure filled with authentic and delicious surprises. I will definitely be back to try more.

I asked for a nice table, but they sat us next to the bar... I'm not sure why since the other dining room was open and no one was in there eating The food was no better than what you could get at the Denny's restaurant... the service was no better than a poorly managed diner, and the ambience was that of a slightly elevated cafeteria... Flavorless, dry salmon, a house wine that ended up being sparkling, despite the fact that it didn't claim to be so on the menu, and a waitress in blue jeans and a sweatshirt that might as well have been working at McDonald's... If you're going to claim to be a fine dining restaurant... Maybe you should pay a little more attention to the fine detail. I can't recommend this restaurant unless you're all about paying a lot of money for very little wow factor.

These were more like a steak fry cut than wedges, but man alive were they good. An actual fresh cooked sweet potato. I choose that option often and these were the absolute best I have ever tasted. The burgers were excellent though they use leaf lettuce instead of iceberg. I took the barrel sauce on the side. It is a spicy ketchup aioli and went well on the burger and for dipping potatoes. I also got some mayo on the side, happy to report no charge on that as some places do. The Reuben balls were out of this world. Plenty of meat, cheese and kraut with the proper amount of crunchy breading. I could even taste caraway so it was just like mini hot Reuben sandwiches. All the above food items are highly recommended. Looking at the redesigned menu it seems they want to stress restaurant over bar which is as it should be with this quality of food. The atmosphere would be enhanced in my opinion if the staff dressed up a bit. They were all extremely casually dressed. The main dining room is all tables; if you want a booth there are a few at the rear of the bar side. They have a good sized outdoor space, but a view of Central Avenue in Middletown does not really grab me. There were a lot of people dining outside. Our waitress was very enthusiastic about the food - with good reason- and answered many questions. She checked on us appropriately though the food was delivered by other people. I don't like that practice. There was one wrinkle, my husband wanted the baked potato but his burger showed up with fries. The correct item came shortly, with apologies, and we got to keep the fries too! We will gladly return and you should too.

New owners took over in 2023 and other than the name, very little has been changed. This is business brilliance. If a good thing's been going on, don't try to reinvent it. A lot of the menu items are the same, notably the famous walleye dinner and the Pretzel bites! Some additions include a giant Pretzel and a most comforting grilled cheese sandwich. We had one of these last night, added bacon, and also a basket of fries. The fries are seasoned which is not my preference, but I'll get that grilled cheese again for sure. After trying the BLT of course. So it's got a nice big 3 sided bar, tables, bandstand, pool table, TVs, pull tabs and Keno. And a handy ATM. Plus a big smoking annex, well covered and heated, AND a bigger back patio with another stage and outdoor games. Don't be looking for craft beer, fancy cocktails or urban sophistication here. Just cold drinks, good food, fun times and fine friendly folks.

Take yourself out on your own darn date. Why not?…read more You deserve it. And when you do..... Order the Pink Starburst for 10 buckeroos. A steal. It's pretty and pink and glows. Second choice was an expressotini. The crab rangoons for 6 bucks are a steal. Who can't resist crispy fried filled puffs filled with cream cheese ? Not this girl. Then I took Anthony's suggestion and went with a coconut spaghetti. If you're wondering what that is...... It's flippin fabulous. It's mandarin egg noodles tossed with shrimp, vegetables, in a savory brown sauce. Sold. The curiosity alone was enough to order it. Now on to the ambience. 9.5 outta 10. The music is in the background and not too loud to not hear the conversations your eavesdropping on in the next booth. And any place you go and hear Fleetwood Mac is a plus. Our waitress was Sheridan and she provided absolutely superb service. Major shout-out. They didn't have the beer my husband ordered so she took the initiative to return to the table with two samples of similar beer for him to try. She answered all our questions and made appropriate recommendations. We were checked on often enough, a soda refill appeared without my asking, and she neatly boxed up our leftovers. She was pleasant and kind and one of the best servers ever. Very classy decor here; subtle touches of the orient; wood, leather, and...books! And a very elegant bar. Motown music was playing, and festive but not excessive Christmas decorations were up. And yes, a fortune cat was there to greet us. Food arrived quickly. We had the Thai Dumplings app which was just enough for two to whet the appetite. It was tangy and peanutty and the cool cucumber slices a perfect contrast. My husband had the Green Mango Grouper and loved it. I had a taste and it was fantastic, fresh white fish and delectable toppings, spice level 2 was just right. I tasted it and agreed it was excellent and right then we made plans to return. I had Siam Curry with chicken. Full of flavor and wonderful vegetables especially the snow peas. Spice level 3 is described as Thai Spicy and they are not kidding. They do not wimp out on the spice here so use caution. (For example at Thai Thara in Richmond Indiana I go with 5 of 5 and I still need to add some spice.) Sheridan brought extra chili oil if needed. I would recommend erring on the side of lower spice with the option to add. We took home an order of Singapore Noodles to share for supper tomorrow along with our leftovers. I snuck a taste before putting it away and it's delicious! Looking forward to another visit soon and I think I'll try one of their cocktails. Highly recommended!
