The Nest is ridiculously good…read more I travel and spend many nights in a restaurant. The Nest is simply as good as it gets. The owners welcome guests, and humbly show off their many talents. They have an amazing cocktail menu and wine list, but the true star of the show is the food. It is incredible. The presentation is an 11/10 and the taste is incredible. From authentic dishes to edgier takes on traditional classics they just own it. I was just there and cannot wait to go back. This is the best restaurant in hundreds of kilometres. Special occasions, romantic dinners or just itching to spoil yourself? Try The Nest. Get out of the rut. You owe yourself a truly nice experience. You will not be sorry.

The guy looked shocked and said he didn't think they had anything and that most people order their food at least 24 hours ahead. I saw nothing on their website about reservations or ordering ahead. I was so caught off guard I just walked out and bought a rotisserie chicken up the road at the grocery store.

The owner actually takes a minute when he can escape the kitchen to go table to table and get the customer feed back. He actually makes homemade soups and most customers are offered a sample size soup at no charge and the soups are to die for they are so so good and my favorite was a lemon chicken. My first spoon full was a shock and my mouth wasn't ready but by the time I finished the sample I discovered my new favorite. I believe we have the world's best chef

The food is straight forward, well cooked, plated pleasingly and darn good. The service was good, with both servers helping each other taking care of tables. When the food first dropped o thought there really wasn't a great deal on the plate. That said we finished up at just about 11AM , drove 500+ kilometers and went out for dinner in Salmon Arm at 6 PM. We were hungry, but not famished, so the portion size was just right for us. The price for our breakfast was under $15 each, which is unheard of where we live, and what we typically see in our travels. If you are going here famished, or are a big eater, you can easily add to the party. Excellent value, and great service. A definite redo in Cranbrook!

We were seated at a table inside but there was a lovely patio, coved to keep the sun at bay, with additional seating. We split a smoked chicken Gorgonzola and tomato chutney sandwich. The lady working didn't seem to have any help so she was pretty much doing everything in the front of the house from greeting, cleaning to serving. We enjoyed the thai prawn wrap and the chorizo pizza. Plus, they make their own infused cold tea. It was a bit fruity with a hint of honey for sweetness. I can't remember what it was exactly but it was amazing. I should have gotten one to go for later, but I plan to go back again so I'll get more then.

The salad was loaded with lots of yummy things, the bruschetta had arugula and a honey balsamic sauce. The proportions were adequate. Prompt with the bill.
