Horrible doctor, I do not recommend Dr Rainbow Chung. Office messed up my last name on medical documents and I had to call 2 times to get it fixed. Asked the doctor to call me back regarding concerns for my blood results for 2 weeks, after multiple calls to the office she finally responds to me via their online portal and tells me to schedule an appointment if I want to discuss my blood results. This Dr does not care about patients and is an absolute joke. She has ADHD (she made that statement herself) during my annual check up. Annual check up was also a joke and she is not qualified to perform a simple pap smear so you will be referred out to a specialist if you need one. I have taken care of both my parents My father had lots of health issuew loosing his leg and several other complication and my mother age 90 has several health issues. Dr. Rainbow Chung-Ou is her Doctor. The doctor has gone above and beyond any other health system and doctors we have had in the last 25 years. She gave up her lunch hour to see my Mom and said she has pneumonia settling in her lungs gave her medication before it became an an life or death issue. That step is a life saving move. I Thank you Doctor for your service. Later my mom had what she thought was siatica and Doctor ordered an xray. Well Mom did not feel well enough to go, We ended up calling 911 for ambulance Now that she is in the hospital I have called staff to keep them updated and needed her medical chart with lab results with in 5 min they resent that information. (I was at Chino Valley Hospital and could not get the name of medication they issued my mom) I feel that Dr Rainbow Chung-Ou is an example of how our medical insurance should work and Doctors should care and treat patients. She has been attentive and precautious. I am so Thankful. I wish she took my insurance. Don't hesitate if you can see her she is good and will run all test to figure out issue. read more

The Front office staff is HORRIBLE! If I didn't like the doctors I would leave in a heartbeat. The woman in charge of referrals gave me a referral for an X-ray that when I got to the imaging place, I was told the referral was incorrect and not covered under my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket for the X-ray. Then an MRI had to be done. When I called to get my results, I was told Dr. Rainbow wasn't in the office and she would call me tomorrow. I didn't get a call, so I waited until 2 pm the following day to call and was told Dr. Rainbow was busy and would she'd call me back. At 4:30 pm, when I still hadn't gotten a call, I called and the staff who answered was rude. Granted, I know she has no control over the doctor calling me or not, but she said, "She's busy and will call you tomorrow." When I mentioned that's what I was told the day before, she responded, "Like I said, Dr. Rainbow is very busy." Total attitude and no positive customer service whatsoever. RUDE. read more

!! WARNING - DOCTORS GIVE OUT WRONG PRESCRIPTIONS. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Incompetent. I have never had any trouble at all getting a REFILL for my prescription before until I had to change my PCP when I moved to this area. Their staff is incompetent. My pharmacy showed me proof that they faxed them well before and in the end, after waiting for over an hour to pickup my refill, I got the WRONG medication. I couldn't call them to fix this because they were closed when I received the medication and now I have to wait until Monday because they are closed for the weekend. If yelp allow me to give ZERO star, I will! I needed to take the immunizations, but they called my insurance and found out my insurance did not cover the shots. They returned me the co-pay immediately and told me it was all clear. After that they kept sending me the bill of $155 and threatened they would report to the medical collection agency. Well, I changed doctors and went with Dr. Rainbow a couple years ago because my previous could no longer accept my insurance. I had a physical and waited to hear from my new doctor's office..and waited...and waited. Finally went in about five months later for a minor skin peeling issue, and it turns out my physical & lab results had been there for months. I had forgotten that they should have been calling. Anyway, that was disappointing, but then I ended up seeing Dr. Rainbow's uncle because she wasn't in on that day of the week. They could have told me that when I made my appointment! The next two times I was there; once to get a referral for an mri and once for a prescription for antibiotics, I saw her dad. It was a bit difficult to communicate clearly and I felt let down and a bit overlooked. I have been there four times in two and a half years and have yet to even see Dr. Rainbow on site, only know her from her business card. I really wanted it to work out too, seeing as I live 1/4 of a mile from their office, but I need a doctor that will get to know me, not just be a name. read more

My whole family has been going to this practice for a long time and have always been very satisfied with them. They are professional and are very accommodating to your schedule. They take most medical insurance and have two offices. The Chino Hills office is off of Pipeline and Chino Hills Parkway. They also have an office in Ontario. The good thing is if one office is closed you can visit the other office. They speak English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. There are three doctors: Dr. Ou, Dr. Lin, and Dr. Chung-Ou (Dr. Ou's daughter in law). All are good doctors and are very competent. If you are looking for a good doctor in Chino Hills, they are a good choice. read more

Dr. Rainbow is great. The office staff, however, is such a disappointment. We've always had a pleasant experience with the doctor herself, but the appointment procedure, the referral process, anything that's handled by the front office staff, is laughable. They have no sympathy, or empathy for the patients, none what so ever. Once I walked in there in such an excruciating pain begging to see doctor Rainbow, for just a prescription of pain killers, it'll take her maybe 15 minutes to see me and help me, the nurse at the front blocked me and turned me away. She said the next appoint is 3 weeks out, and she can't squeeze me in for this bad condition I was in, And I'm her regular patient !!!! Also, the referrals to any other specialists, very often gets screwed up, and they don't call you when they get the approval notice, you have to keep calling them to follow up and see if you are approved. no matter how dire your condition is, referrals are always screwy with their staff at the front office. I went here yesterday for the first time. Was seen by Dr. Rainbow Chung. She is by far one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. Not only is she personable, friendly and kind, but she is also very professional and truly takes great care of her patients. She called me in the evening to ask how I was doing because she was worried about my eye. She saw me for an eye infection I got from fake lashes. I call the office and they say ok no problem we'll fax it now. 30 minutes later nothing. I have the surgeons office call - they didn't even have the fax number. Absolute garbage service. The receptionist however, rude women. To put it lightly. I called on their lunch hour apparently, first it rang and rang and then picked up and hung up. I called back thinking maybe I miss dialed or there was a misconnection. Nope, they just couldn't be bothered on their lunch break and decided to hang up twice on me. I normally wouldn't complain but, all things being considered, That person deserves to be reprimanded. That is not there personal phone line and shouldn't be treated as such. Dr. Rainbow Chung-Ou MD is a very nice doctor at 4195 Chino Hills Parkway Ste.H . She is very kind to us when we had regular physical examination there. But one of the nurses (I do not know her name) made us so sad. My wife and I went to the clinic located at 4195 Chino Hills Parkway Ste.H in July,2016 for our regular physical examination. One nurse of the clinic gave my wife a blood draw on right elbow. After that, her right elbow had swelled one week, then it become bruise harmful.Her arm hurt very much and can not to work for almost one month. She had to see doctor again and emergency hospital. She went to the clinic again try to ask for right treatment for her arm, but the nurse of the clinic is so mean to my wife and behaved so rudely to her! It is so bad! We are going to sue the clinic about the case. read more

Dr. Rainbow Chung is a fine doctor. Though she is young, I've always trusted her judgment and was happy with the care she provided. Unfortunately, the office cannot handle appointments adequately. The wait time is sometimes greater than 1.5 hours, and the staff at the front desk is not particularly efficient. For that reason, I will be looking for another primary care provider. Pleasant as they might be, the physicians a this location are not exceptional enough to have me waste so much time waiting visit after visit. read more

My brother just took my mother to see Dr. Ou today. Because she has medicare benefits, the service that was provided wasn't as great as the other review. I spoke with a lady by the name of Cecilia explaining to her that my mom's medicare benefits is active and a letter from the Social Security office including a contact name and phone number of her case manager was also available if they have any additional question. Instead of trying to assist my sick mother to be able to see a doctor, she said that she's off the clock and turn us away. I tried to speak with Dada who is the receptionist to see if there's anyone else there who can help me but she too just hung up on me. You're in the business of helping sick people. If this unprofessionalism and heartless act of humanity is any indication of how this office treats their patience. I will take my ailing mother somewhere else. My OBGYN recommended Dr Ou back in 1988 when I gave birth to my first child. Dr Ou has been a great Pediatrician to my four children and now young Adults. To my surprise he was also a Family Practitioner. I have been very pleased with the care he has given my entire family and recommend him to everyone! read more

Both Dr. Ou and Dr. Chung-Ou appear to be competent doctors. My issue is not with the quality of care I received. My complaint has to do the with LAZY billing personnel, specifically someone who called herself Sylvia. In March 2015 I went in for an annual physical. Blue Cross covers this 100%. A week after the physical my blood work came back and there were some problems. The reception called me and advised that Dr. Chung Ou wanted to discuss something about the results. I went back to the doctor's office and met with Dr. Chung-Ou over some simple medication adjustments. While talking to the Dr. she asked if anything else was a problem. THIS IS WHERE THINGS WRONG! My reply was yes, that my shoulder was still sore, something I discussed with Dr. Ou during my annual physical the week before. Dr. Chung-Ou gave me a prescription for some mild pain killers and that was the end of the visit.... Until I received a bill. The return visit to discuss the blood results is 100% covered by Blue Cross. The billing department never put any billing codes for the return visit when they billed Blue Cross. As a result, I was billed $65 for an office visit. I called Blue Cross to find out why they didn't cover it and was advised of the wrong billing codes submitted by the doctor's office. Blue Cross advised me to call the doctor's billing person and have them resubmit the request for payment with the correct codes. Sounds simple! When I talked to Sylvia she informed me that while the return visit to discuss my blood work was covered by Blue Cross, my answer of "Yes" to Dr. Chung-Ou's question about my shoulder created another, different billing code. Basically Dr. Chung-Ou made an extra $65 out of MY pocket by asking me questions. This is simply wrong. I'm not suggesting that Dr. Ou or Dr. Chung-Ou have anything to do with this, but the billing department stinks of laziness, unethical behavior and there's a strong whiff of fraud. Rather than simply fixing the problem, she refused to resubmit the bill... LAZY!!! It must be nice to bill both the insurance company and ME on the same visit.
