I went to this nail salon and had such a peaceful and relaxing experience. I've now been twice and would definitely recommend it. One thing I really appreciated is that the salon wasn't loud or overwhelmingly busy when I visited. I personally love feeling calm and relaxed when getting my nails done, and this place absolutely delivered that vibe. The staff were so welcoming from the moment I walked in. They even offer drink options like iced coffee, lemonade, or tea along with a small snack, which made the whole experience feel extra pampering and thoughtful. I've gotten two pedicures here so far, and honestly they felt like heaven. Lately I haven't really been doing my fingernails, so it was nice to fully relax and enjoy a good pedicure experience. I originally found this salon because it was close to my office, but even though I recently changed work locations and it's a bit farther now. I'd still try to keep coming back because I enjoyed it that much. read more

Otium - Interior aesthetic of the nail salon - Nail Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I had a very disappointing experience at Otim Nails. For a service costing over $100, the quality was nowhere near what I expected. My nails were filed far too thin, and several started breaking afterward. The pedicure was also poorly done -- calluses were not properly removed, and there were visible gaps and uneven areas in the polish. What bothered me even more was the response when I raised my concerns. Instead of acknowledging the issues with the work, they tried to dismiss my experience and make it seem as though the problems were somehow unrelated to the service. It felt like they were trying to gaslight me rather than take responsibility. A professional business should be able to receive criticism, address a dissatisfied customer respectfully, and stand behind the quality of its work. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. read more

My friend and I saw this place on our Tiktok and we wanted to come here. If you want a really bougie luxury feeling nail experience - I highly recommend you come here. I do recommend making a reservation online - they are very transparent on the pricing when you book online and how much time everything will take. You first come in and then check in where they will ask what drink you would like. Then you go downstairs and get seated for your service. All the pedicure booths were in isolated rooms and it was so peaceful in there. (Please note - I don't normally go to bougie nail places and have been to the same nail salon for years). I got a pedicure and the whole experience was super relaxing - they bring your ordered drink for you while you are in there. It was $55 for a regular pedicure - the only thing I wish they had was flip flops or a fan to help really dry the pedicure after it was done but they just have you wait inside your pod while you wait to be done. My friend got a gel manicure which was $60 and they were super precise with the details. We both got complimentary strawberry matchas and some snacks which was a really nice treat for the whole experience. Overall - it is on the pricier side but you definitely get the whole experience with it. read more

All went well yesterday however with lots of understanding I heard a child which has never happened and as I understand that people may not always have a sitter - I will say I was shocked. The level of Zen Otium has is unprecedented by any other salon I've been to in NY, so they lose 1 star today. This was for the unexpected sounds I am not used to in a salon, this will not affect my genuine Love for them ever but when I am tired I don't want Zen , thanks for reading. read more

My go to place !! I love that I can book an appointment online and am always seen promptly. Free drink with your service is great!! Usually comes with a snack or two. All of the staff are friendly, professional, and quality. The manicure automatically includes Dazzle Dry polish and my hands always come out looking and feeling so much more fresh and clean. Studio is clean and vibes are so zen and quiet. read more

Loved this salon! The service from the door to the mani pedi itself was amazing. The salon is clean and beautiful. I got a complimentary strawberry matcha and coffee on my way out. The lady making the drinks was super friendly. I got a dip mani for $65 which is more than what I usually pay for. It has lasted for two weeks but it did chip on one nail. I got a regular dazzle dry pedicure for $55. The pedicure unfortunately didn't last two days into my vacation and I got it the day prior to leaving. read more

Was a walk in. So relaxing, clean, nice surprise to have an iced mango green tea and a great manicure

Wonderful, relaxing nail salon. A little pricey but worth it! I've been twice now, it takes a bit longer than my other place but they are perfectionists! read more

I really love the luxurious experience of this salon. The privacy during pedicures with curtains drawn. It is nice and relaxing. They serve you a non alcoholic drink of choice. My favorite is the strawberry matcha latte. It never disappoints! They will give you one to go too if you would like. They are very thorough. I just wish my polish did not chip in the first week. It has happened 2 times. My toes I chose regular polish and they are spectacular, but chrome and gel have both chipped. read more

I had such a lovely experience at this nail salon! I chose a pink cat-eye design, and it turned out absolutely adorable -- subtle, sparkly, and super cute. The technician was very patient and paid great attention to details, making sure the shape and color were exactly what I wanted. The salon was clean and relaxing, and I felt comfortable the entire time. I've already received so many compliments on my nails! If you're looking for a place that does cute, trendy designs with great service, I would definitely recommend coming here. I'll be back for sure! read more

Updating my last review because I went a second time and it was a very different experience. The polish didn't even last a week. The technician didn't listen to my requests. So disappointing after that first time. I'm guessing it depends on the person you get? read more

Part of me wants to keep this place and Todd a secret because it's truly special. I've searched high and low for this level of service, and I think I've finally found it. From the complimentary coffee treat to how beautiful my nails looked, everything was perfect. The pedicure area is cute and private, making it a completely different experience that I can't get enough of. I'm already looking forward to coming back! read more

Salon is beautiful. Staff is very pleasant. My nails always looked clean, however, once I switch from Gel X refill to soft gel, my nails didn't last more than a week. A few would painfully lift from the base and would need repair. The first time I did have an incident which I thought it was my fault. But the second time, I did absolutely nothing and they were still lifting. To get an appointment the same day was so hard, I had to get my nails done somewhere else. I haven't had that problem since. read more

So impressed with this new nail salon on Atlantic. We've been patiently waiting for their opening, passing by it on our walks and admiring their aesthetic. I came on a Sunday morning with my friend to take advantage of their soft opening deal. Their check in/out is on that floor, but you go downstairs for all your services. The space is beautiful and I love that they offer complimentary drinks from their cafe! Matcha, coffee, etc. They even have oat milk as a nondairy option If you want a design, I'd recommend bringing in photos of what you want so they can go based off of that. I'm in love with my grey marble design! Yvonne also added some sparkle to jazz it up Definitely coming back to treat myself and can't wait to do a pedi in their solo pods lol As for price, I think some services are a little higher than others, but with the quality of service + complimentary drink, I think it's worth it Another note! They really pay attention to detail and take their time, so your visit may also be longer than what you're used to. We were here for about 3 hours total for a gel mani + design that was pretty intricate read more

I'm not sure the name of my nail tech, but he went above and beyond with my hard gel nail form extensions. He approached shaping the nail with such attention to detail and precision and they came out perfect. He even stayed a little after closing to make sure my mani looked exactly how it should. I got stiletto tips and they were so sharp! read more

Absolutely amazing experience. The staff was friendly, quick, and super detail-oriented. My nails came out perfect, smooth, clean, and exactly how I asked. The place is spotless, the prices are fair, and the vibe is relaxing. Definitely my new go-to spot. Highly recommend! read more

This spot slaps. Truly differentiated nail salon with extremely high quality service which can be hard to find in Brooklyn. Highly recommend. read more

Chairs are not comfortable. Didn't love the selection. Staff was also not super friendly. Just didn't have a great experience.

So luxurious and relaxing. You get your own section for your pedicure and the chair although not a massage chair it reclines and you can damn near take a nap if you wanted to lol. They bring your drink of choice down to you and a little snack to your booth. It is pricy but worth it to splurge. I took my mom with me and she loved it. Will be going back. The only aside was that they started my service 30 min late. My mom was worried we wouldn't make it to our next destination on time but I wasn't too worried, it all worked out. read more

First time here. I am new and looking for a new nail salon and stumbled upon this place via Instagram. When I first came in I was greeted by Yulia she was so sweet and verified my appointment, and offered a complimentary drink as I waited to be attended. The drink was delicious! It's an awesome touch compared to other nail shops. I was attended by Yvonne, she was very communicative on making sure I liked all the phases of my manicure! Very sweet as well. She was very detailed and took her time on my nail care. Would recommend her as a nail tech! They offer a wide variety of services and I will be checking them out as well! Love that it seems to be a one stop shop! read more

What a great addition to the neighborhood! The space is bright, clean, and beautiful. The staff are friendly & communicative. Yvonne took care of me today and provided me with recommendations and made sure I was happy with the base/design as she went. My nails turned out super cute ($60 regular gel + $30 design), and the complimentary drink is a nice bonus! Overall, a great salon to give yourself a nice treat. read more

The first time I brought my girlfriend into the store to experience gel manicure, the clerk welcomed me warmly and introduced various drinks for us to choose from for free. I chose coffee and was very happy. Drinking coffee while doing manicure was an enjoyment I had never had before. My friend and I both like the environment here and can enjoy it quietly. read more

Bright and clean environment, yummy drinks, beautiful color selection and the woman did such a good job with my very short nails. I work in healthcare and need to keep my nails below my fingertips. A big thing I appreciated was that she didn't push me to get extensions (spend more $$) or make fun of me for how short my nails are. My last salon left me with cuts all over my fingers and polish on my skin every time I went and always made me feel bad for how short my nails were, so I'm happy I found this place! Pricey but they do a great job especially if you want longer nails and designs. All my friends have said their gel mani's have lasted weeks, so I definitely recommend. Easy online booking too. read more
