This place was cool, different and a lot of fun. You literally feel like you are in another world, from the music that sometimes seems eerie to the displays, you feel like you are on another planet or in another dimension. The place is a maze of different rooms that all have different displays that you can play with and interact with. This one museum that you can touch and play with anything. There are hidden crawl spaces and places you can climb through and into making you feel hidden from the others that are there. This truly is a one of a kind place , and the $25 tickets is worth it. You can spend as much time as you want here, there are cool places to sit and enjoy what is around you. Some of places to sit are hidden and make you feel secluded. A permanent, although changing interactive art installation, housed in a huge warehouse space. There are over 25 separate rooms to explore, designed to peak your curiosity & interaction. The staff randomly walk by and demonstrate how pieces can work. It's fun to discover on your own, once you realize what's going on. Some rooms are better than others. Lots of videos, lights, mirrors and sounds. Fun for young and old. Groups or singles. Families and friends. The layout is like one big square, with a round middle. It's dark inside, adding to the experience. Think twice about being "under the influence" it might add to the experience in a way you may not like. We were in Columbus visiting our friend from Alaska and we looked up cool places to go in Columbus. After about three minutes of searching we found this place called Otherworld. The name sounded interesting so we looked into it. It was pretty expensive for the both of us ($42) we thought it was cool so we went anyway. When we got there I thought it was going to be a boring art museum but it was so much more! We walked in the main entrance to the first room. As soon as we got to see the first piece of artwork we knew it was all going to be amazing. I forgot to mention you can touch pretty much everything as long as your gentle. There were so many cool things that this review would be as long as a dictionary if I had to describe every room and how fun it was. The experience was definitely worth the $42 for the both of us and the workers were really friendly and showed us how to interact with some of the rooms. The gift shop was way to expensive but I'm sure they have there reasons. One of my favorite rooms there was a video game room where you had to crawl through a tunnel at the bottom of one of those old time video game machines and bam! You were in a space invaders game and there was a red and blue gun that shot lasers and you had to shoot these little space invader guys and it would flash the room rainbow colors if you shot a flashing one. So overall this is one of the best attractions I've ever been to in my whole entire life. read more

I finally made a trip down to check it out with my friends and let's just say I understand what all of the hype is about now. This isn't your typical art gallery. My friends and I decided to check out this new exhibit as something unique to do. We ordered tickets and headed there on a Saturday evening. Finding it was a bit of a challenge thanks to GPS, but we eventually found our way. It's in a huge abandoned strip mall and so there's parking, but the location felt a bit sketchy to me. Once we got inside and used the restroom (note, they're only at the entrance/exit and are unisex), we went over to the ticket counter. The person at the counter scanned our ticket and we got our wristbands and he proceeded to talk way too much about the experience, I just wanted to go and experience it myself. He hyped it up for me, almost like an escape room. I noticed that most of the people there were much younger than us, and I would describe it as trippy, and based off of what I smelled, a lot of people were probably tripping on something when they were going through the exhibit! We explored all of the rooms within an hour or so, and had fun with the interactive experiences that worked. I must admit I found the experience as an older adult more geared towards older kids and teens, and I probably would take them there as there are spaces to crawl under and over and through, but I wouldn't waste my money going there again... especially after hearing one too many comments about getting the perfect Instagram selfie. read more

This is one of Columbus' hidden gems. We had so much fun getting lost in the catacombs of this interactive museum and are already planning our next trip back. The only suggestion I have, is to find some way to track which rooms you've seen so that you don't miss anything. read more

This place was EXPENSIVE $86.00 for 3 kids and one adult!!!! But once u walk it be prepared to not be able to see until ur eyes adjust either walking in or out!! But once u walk in there's 3 different directions you can go and there's restrooms (4-5 family) one the other side of the building. But omg you can TOUCH EVERYTHING!!!! take ur time and be prepared to crawl! Lmao my nieces had me crawling through secret doors and walls lol but omg it took us a while he to go through the whole other world! There is a wider room that I barely made it in because I'm TERRIFIED of spiders!!! I felt like a little kid playing with everything touching everything and just letting my hair down for a brief moment! Whom ever thought up of this concept is a genius! Otherworld was so, so neat. Highly recommend!! There is so much to see here - every room just leads way to another set of rooms and it seems never ending for a while. You could easily spend hours here and find things you never noticed. Super cool to see everything these artists dreamt up and what a neat way to showcase their talents. I think the rooms with the mirrors were my favorite. But there are so many neat little interactive things and tunnels and hidden spots here to keep kids and adults alike busy for quite a while! Otherworld is truly in another world. Seriously, it's in an abandoned strip mall east of 270. It was a dreadfully rainy and dreary day and once you're inside the exhibit, you'd have no idea. Heavy curtains block all of the outside light. Inside, it's a real trip. Also, Instagram-bait. There are dozens of rooms with giant furry monsters, inflatable orbs, Stranger Things-esque laboratories and more. Weirdness around every corner. It's sorta fun because there aren't instructions for the installations, you have to play with them and figure out what happens. So it's $22 to get in. My friends and I spent about an hour there. Overall, I was entertained. I think it was with the money, but I don't think I'd go back. Once is enough. read more

WOW, just wow. I had seen this spot on a Snapchat story and knew if I was ever in Columbus I'd need to go and boy am I glad I did. Not only is it stunning on the surface level, but there are deeper puzzles and stories that can be followed & solved as you walk through the experience. With so many little rooms, crack, & crevices within the larger rooms and secrets to find within each, hours can be spent exploring and figuring things out. A beautiful and creepy at times experience. There was maybe two or three fun rooms in the place. A lot of the rooms were all over the place and you could hear different things from other rooms. One room has a giant inflatable and when you're in there, it's hard to hear. One thing is that in one of the rooms you would constantly hear a rickroll playing from 5 other rooms. The place is definitely better equipped for kids entertainment, or if someone was on psychedelics. Would be better if there was more interaction because most of the time there was someone using it and more looking around than interaction. Not to mention the tickets were 30$, the zoo is cheaper and probably a better choice for fun. There was a bouncy castle near it but I have no clue what it's like because I didn't go in. read more

Such a cool thing!! I had heard about Otherworld and we had wanted to go for awhile. It was so cool, huge, and had so much to see! We were there for such a long time and it honestly felt like right when you thought ok cool I've seen that room I've seen that room, let's go check out this one we haven't seen and we're almost done. NOPE! It's like that room then expanded into 10 other rooms. It was crazy! And the more you walked around and checked out a room a second time, you'd see little things or passage ways into a room that you'd been in but didn't notice the passage before. We went into rooms multiple times and I feel like I saw something new every time. I don't know that would ever go away as there was just so much to see. We were just casual visitors. I know there are clues or secrets to find as well and I just feel like how could you ever find any of that because it's so intricate and has so much to see and do. Such a fun experience! read more

Words fail me in describing this attraction. I was in the area and found this as an option on the internet so thought I would give it a try. I read several positive reviews. How bad could it be? There are themed rooms throughout the attraction. All are a bit odd. Almost like a carnival funhouse? As an adult, I found it interesting but ultimately boring. There isn't really anything to do except walk around the rooms. The kids seemed to enjoy it. Some things were interactive. You press a button and an action occurs. There were crawl spaces for the kids. One crawl space would lead into the next room and had a theme of some kind. A few rooms were decorated with a scary theme and had spiders which might not be good for younger children but these rooms can be avoided. In my opinion, this was more of an attraction for a family so I would allow for about 1.5-2 hours depending on the age of your children. I would avoid this if you are an adult. We went back in the Spring and had a really fun time! It was a super neat experience. All the secret areas to crawl through were really fun for my kids and I. We loved the imagination of the artist and the rooms they created. There was a room my kids didn't care for. It had big dolls and it was kinda creepy. We zipped through that area pretty quickly. I must live under a rock for just now visiting this place. It's SO cool! It's artsy, futuristic, interactive, and very unique. There's so many adjectives to describe it, honestly. It's mostly dark inside with numerous rooms - each having their own theme. It took me about 45 minutes to get through it all, but I can see it taking much longer if you're into photography. An immersive and large art experience. Otherworld provides a trippy like experience for guests. With COVID-19 protocols they have timed slots that you need to purchase ahead of time. Once inside, it is a self guided tour. They have many rooms and many routes to take. There were a few seating options around which I didn't see them start to clean until about half way through my time in the exhibits. The staff did a good job of cleaning and advising the guests of when it would be open. At some points, it did feel like there were quite a few people there and it was difficult at times to socially distance given the rooms. I think the space would have benefitted from plaques explaining which artist created the display and what the meaning was. It felt more like a place to take cool photos than an art exhibit. I would recommend this although, I would highly recommend for adults and not children as it is easy to get lost. There are some elements that might scare a more gentle child as well as I heard multiple kids screaming. read more

You make a reservation online and you are allowed to take photos and videos but they ask you to keep that flash off and the mask on. Not everyone followed the rules, but I kept my mask on so I just kept as much distance as I could. You are allowed to stay as long as you like but i believe it took about an hour for us to walk the whole thing. There is staff standing around with sanitizing equipment and I did see a team member wipe things down as I was leaving a room. It was very cool and I had a really good time but I don't think I would compare it to meow wolf this is something entirely different but still interactive. read more

A massive, multi-room warehouse space transformed by a team of talented multi-media artists and sculptors into an impressive 'otherworld'-ly experience. Bright and colorful. Great for kids, but can get crowded with families on weekend days. For adults and fans of immersive nightlife and music festivals, I recommend checking this place out on a night when they are also hosting a live DJ or other special event in the space. 4 stars because I feel like this place should have a cast of entertainers as part of their full time staff to make it more interactive. Similar places under different ownership in Las Vegas and Santa Fe have more live entertainers incorporated and showcased throughout the rooms and I feel like those locations are a little more compelling for adults than Otherworld. It's never too late for them to make that change though and I hope they do! read more

I went here last week with my wife and we had a blast. This place is a must see! Remember having a black light and a poster when you were younger? Imagine that times a billion. This would be your dream to have this stuff in your room. You have to really slow down and look at everything in every room closely because you may miss certain things. Example, a lot of people didn't know one are had these crystals on the wall that explode if you touch them. Another one was a tiny hole you crawl through from a fuzzy room to a bunk bed room. That fuzzy room is truly a fantasy for any little kid. It would be fun to play a game of hide a seek in this place because it has many spots that go back further than you expected. I hope this place brings traffic to the other closed down spots surrounding it because that was depressing to see this business is the only thing alive in that area. read more

Was it cool...yes. Was it interactive? Not as much as I think you could...some rooms were very interactive, others weren't as much. Was it overpriced for what it is? absolutely! More than $80 for my family of four for an hour of rooms, some way more interactive than others, is just a bit too much. On the other hand, whoever came up with this place is definitely a creative person and I think it could be very cool, but it is on its way. They could do more with the floors, make more of a story line(I think there was one, but it was very hard to follow or figure out). The room with the three capsules that you have to be in all three to do something was neat, but there were only a few like that. It was something new, unique, and different for my boys on their 10th birthday, but I don't see myself ever going back unless we get a really good deal/free tickets. read more

Once you present your ticket, you will be able to come back at any time throughout the same day. Inside the Otherworld, there is no instruction to show which way you should go. You basically just go the direction you prefer, and check out each room. Some rooms had fun interaction, and some rooms are cool using infinity mirror concept. There were a lot of influences from video games and sci-fi shows, and it was cool that some of it was interactive. Soooo much fun! This is an interactive art exhibit and well worth the price of admission. Great for both adults and well behaved kids that aren't afraid of silly monsters and noise. All the rooms are put together nicely and there are hidden themes and things you can try to figure out all throughout. I love being transported into other dimensions and finding all the fun spots that lead into something else. I was worried that due to COVID there would be issues but everything was great. They kept everyone distanced at check in and they have hand sanitizer in all the rooms. Masks are required and everyone inside was great about keeping them on and trying to stay away from each other as much as possible.
