Went here for valentines with my other half, we got the regular GA admission. It did take a while to get inside. The line was extremely long so definitely come early not at your time haha. Absolutely no bags of any kind, if you have to go back to your car to put it away, you can't go back in line, no holding the line for anyone either. Once inside to the "lobby" area it snakes for a bit til you finally get inside. While waiting inside some of the scare actors will be going around trying to scare you, it is very entertaining to hear them scare someone haha. This is probably thee best haunted house attraction we have been too, definitely worth going here if you love haunted houses as much as we do. You do take a photo before you go in, as a photographer myself, I will say they need to turn down their brightness as it does over light the photo that was taken, but I do love that it was included in the price. *If you do go, please don't be a sourpuss, the guy behind us w what we assume was his wife was a buzzkill the whole time. Bro was just irritated wouldn't even hold his wife's hand as she was enjoying it and screaming bc of the actors. Don't be a loser bf/gf/husband/wife/partner. The attention to detail put into this haunted attraction really made the whole experience amazing. Every area was covered and served a purpose. The actors were amazing and ACTUALLY scared you. 100% worth the money, we were in the haunted house for about 35-40 minutes total. Will be coming back next year! read more

Fear Columbus was a good time! They had very well decorated rooms, there was a lot of creativity and planning that has gone into this. Plenty of sensory distorting sounds and lights to make the experience even more disorienting and intense. The actors were committed to their roles, adding to the unsettling atmosphere with unexpected jump scares and eerie performances. The pacing was disappointing, you would catch up to the group in front and you could see the scares coming. Definitely worth checking out for fans of horror and Halloween fun! read more

We went to Fear Columbus' Krampus event, not the regular Halloween house. That being said, the actual house itself is great. You can tell the actors are really invested, and there's enough of them so everyone in your group gets scared (not just the people in front). I've never been to the Halloween version, but certain areas of this one felt very Christmasy whilst others felt more generic, so I'm not sure how much they changed everything. I thought that it might be based off the movie Krampus, but it seemed more general than that. However, the experience was very long and worth the money. Not too terrifying but enough to make you scream! With that, the line is terribly long, and I would HIGHLY recommend getting the fast pass if you can afford it. We waited for at least a couple hours for 30 minutes, and while we really enjoyed the experience, it was cold and rainy even inside. However, I did really enjoy how they employed scare actors to walk around the lines. We got a real hoot out of them! Nice touch! read more

A fun experience! The location is unexpected because it's in a shopping mall. I got the fast passes and it seemed to be worth it because of how long the standard line was. I absolutely loved the Krampus event! People want to complain about lines but no problem here. I've been to haunts with short lines and well they were horrible hence smaller crowd fare. It was themed beyond imagine with snow falling, scents and great jump scares. I didn't want to leave ! Even the actors in line were friendly and allowed for many photo ops. The fire works, food trucks and games added an extra bonus! The only thing I wished was that I walked slower as it was so much to look at! Highly recommend and take your time! read more

We went last night for the first time. Purchased regular priced tickets for 7:30 and got there around 7:20. There was maybe a max of 200 people in line in front of us and we didn't get into the haunt until 9:30. The way they handled the fast pass line ($10 more a ticket) vs the regular priced tickets was absolutely ridiculous. They did not let one person from the regular priced ticket line go in for probably the first 45 minutes we were there. It got to the point where people were actually clapping when people were allowed in from the regular line. I'm sure their intent is to entice people to pay $10 more a ticket, but from our experience I'd recommend just going to the other Christmas themed haunted house in Columbus. Outside of the initial lines to get in, the haunt is essentially the same as the fall one with a few lights hung up. I also don't know how this can be marketed as 2 separate attractions unless you consider waiting in line one of them. *** They have reported this review to Yelp for a "conflict of interest". Sorry but my only conflict of interest is giving you a dime of my money. I think all factors combined kind of gives you an idea of how they do business here. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GIVING WHOEVER RUNS THIS PLACE A DIME OF YOUR MONEY. It was so hard for me not to give a 5 star review but there is one thing that should be improved upon. This was our 2nd time here. Last year we did the Krampus house and it was an absolute blast! So much work has gone into this place and you can tell whoever runs it has a passion for what they do. It's a nice long walkthrough with surprises around every corner. The scare actors do a great job as we had lots of jump scares. They get you into the line quickly and the outside line goes at a relatively good pace for the general admission ticket holders. There are also fast pass and immediate access lines. I had general admission, so my bad. The problem is that there is not enough of a price difference between the 3 levels of access to make any kind of sense. The outside line was fine. The inside line, however was completely ridiculous. I stood in line for a total of 2 hours and most of it was inside. FYI, I only got general admission because they sent me an email with a discount code and I purchased the tickets early. It wasn't until I redeemed them that I realized there were other choices and at that point I couldn't upgrade. When I went last year, there was only one level of ticket so I didn't expect it. There is about a 30 second delay between parties to allow each party to enjoy everything. Good in concept but not so great when you've been standing in line for an hour and a half and the immediate access people are pouring in faster than they can reasonably get people through. Now I know for future events but I still think there should be a bigger price difference or just have the fast pass and not the immediate access. It was quite a ridiculous wait but the experience of the house itself was epic. read more

I will first start off positive... the sets and haunts are actually really amazing! The plaza/midway looks better every year... You can tell they put the time and energy into making their haunt sparkle.... -the attention to detail with the dressing rooms of the clown house were top notch!! (Yet, WHERE WERE THE CLOWNS??!!? They had like these demon creatures popping out of the walls, made no sense!) With that being said... I have been to this haunt every year since 2019, always with a different group of people. They claimed they added 2 new haunts this year, which they kinda did... although that meant they scaled back on the previous houses to "add" a third one. So the houses were a lot shorter than I remember. They have these dummy animatronics in the corner of SO MANY ROOMS that jump at you. Cool. They lack actors, they lack dialogue. My friends and I this year basically walked through the haunts without being startled or scared, because there were barely any actors to do so. When there are actors they jump at you and say stuff like "rawr" and "boo" (maybe not those exact words, but you catch my drift).. As I said before, the sets are great, but I didn't pay $30 to walk through a fun house with little action. I went on September 21st, for the 9pm slot. It wasn't busy... but why as a group of 3 were we being shoveled in with 5 other people, while continuously running into the group they had sent seconds before us? It wasn't busy enough for that. It really takes the scare factor away. I honestly feel like I've wasted money this year. Columbus is already lacking in haunted attractions, especially this year with Zombiezi Bay not returning. Why not make this one great?! We basically have Fear and Haunted Hoochie. I've worked in a haunted house off and on since I was 3 years old, I've been a part of it all. I am highly disappointed this year & I wish I wasn't. I'll try once more either this year or next, but after that, if I don't see some improvements, I won't be returning. read more

This is probably the best Haunted House I've ever been to in the Columbus area. The artistry of the rooms is really impressive and I was so distracted by looking at everything that I was legitimately scared when the staff jumped out at me. There are two different experiences. One you get 3-D glasses for and it reminded me of a trippy fun house and the other reminded me of the set of a horror movie. There is one area that you felt like you were underwater in a sea of Both were really cool and the $35 a person seemed worth it because we payed extra to get a fast pass and skip the line. I would recommend getting the fast pass instead of skip the line because the fast pass is cheaper but we didn't wait at all. I'm not sure how the skip the line could possibly be better. I wish we would have gone sooner because it's closed for the season but I would highly recommend adding this to your must do's for Halloween next year! read more

Really high quality props and set pieces. Actors did a good job being scary without getting too much in your personal space. I have some sensory sensitivities and I was still able to enjoy this without getting too anxious. Oddly enough the only thing that triggered my sensory issues was a random part in the middle of the haunted house where a lady was just talking on a mic and it wasn't supposed to be scary. This was our second visit. It was the 8:30 time slot on a Saturday night in September. Last time was a very late time slot close to xmas for Krampus. Not sure if the time, season, or theme difference was why but the experience was pretty different than my first visit. This time even though I still bought general admission we essentially just walked right in with no real wait time. It seemed to get busier as we were leaving though. The decor was very detailed, disorienting, and many many doorways to make it easier for the scares to hide. A big issue we had was that it was hard to go at the right pace. We kept catching up with the group ahead of us then kept having the group behind catch up with us. Yet no matter what pace we often seemed to be mistimed for the scares so we either saw it too soon or it was after we already passed. The actors were trying though and the animatronics were very interesting. I think the specialty events might be better, but it was still a really fun event. read more

I am not usually one to complain but there was almost no scares and the monsters did not seem very happy to be there. they mainly jus t stood around and looked at you with the occasional scare every once in a while. The "Krampus: Haunted Christmas Experience" was not as promised by a long shot. When purchasing the tickets 2 weeks in advance, I had to wait in a virtual line because there was "limiting" on how many ticket sales were allowed. I arrived tonight at my designated time to wait 2 hours before I got into the haunted experience which lasted less than 30 minutes. I'm not a huge Haunted House person, but the wait did not seem worth the experience. Management really failed with controlling ticket sales and predicting wait times. I know I can't get my time or money back, but this is not how to manage a haunted Christmas experience. Never again will I go to Fear Columbus. read more

My friends and I went last night and it was an awesome place, super scary and so much fun!!! Good amount of jump scared also. One comment I do have is that there are two "sections" of the haunted house, and in all honesty the second part was partially ruined for us because of the spacing between our groups. I would have rather waited longer between the two sections than what happened with us, which was us walking in a line directly behind the people in front of us. Went for the holiday Krampus haunted attraction and it was well done! The only thing was the line and was long, even with timed entry but the line seem to move at a decent pace. The decorations, the scares, and the general atmosphere but was fun. I had more fun then I accepted. The exhibits were scary, I even think I jumped for a few times. Outside was great. Inside cue line had great music but it repeated after like 10min maybe. I can only listen to unholy so many times. Hardly any cue line actors. The blonde with the lights that walked around was very nice to my son. We brought my 5 year old "his choice" and though he did get scared a bit, he said he loved it and wants to go again. There was a cheerleader "abby" that took his hand and walked him through part of the haunt. He really enjoyed that. The scenes were great. Could use more actors not just ones that pop out real fast and dissappear. Too many hanging items between doorways. I got caught several times and it wrapped around my son's neck at one point. Opening night was a nightmare. We waited for over 2 hours in 90 degree heat only to get within viewpoint of the door. They weren't not equipped to handle a crowd so large. It was frustrating because there was rampant line cutting and pushy people. Our group left when a group of preteens tried to push past us. When we told them we wouldn't let them through, they became even more aggressive and threatened us. At that point, we had had enough and left. I was so disappointed. I contacted the venue and they were very apologetic about the experience and invited us back with an upgraded ticket. We have since went back and had the time of lives. They were much more organized and ready for a large crowd. The haunt itself was very creative and unique. The clown maze was really inventive. It had nice, original themes. I'm really glad I gave it another shot because I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this place as a fun and affordable haunted house but I strongly don't recommend going on opening night. read more

If you want to do a haunted house this spooky season and are disabled in any way, PLEASE do not go to Fear Columbus by 13th floor. After going through the haunt with my wheelchair bound spouse there are a few things I would like to note for anyone else as a warning. 1) They claim wheelchair accessibility. The straight hallways were barely wide enough for her wheelchair. The corners were way too tight and I had to lift and turn the wheelchair multiple times. Her feet and ankles are very bruised now thanks to the measurements/design of the maze. 2) The maze was extremely dark and had far too much haze. The haze was so thick you could smell it and it was irritating my eyes. It was borderline impossible to find ones path and determine where the door to the next room was. 3) They ask you to walk at a "steady" pace, then plaec massive animatronics that will block your path and prevent you from moving at a steady pace. Make it make sense 4) The audio was so loud that Hannah was yelling at the top of her lungs and I couldn't hear her at all during the maze. I had to project and shout for the actor helping us to be able to hear that we needed assistance. 5) The inflatable claustrophobia hallways were meant to be turned off by the scare actor, he clearly wasn't told this and/or didn't know how to. Not his fault but terrible planning on the management. We also got stuck in the inflatable walls on the second hallway because of a sharp corner that was impossible to see with the lighting and haze. 6) The Strobe lights were uneven in pace and once again made it virtually impossible to keep an even speed or even see where you were going. Hannah, who isn't usually bothered by strobe lights, felt extremely nauseous, and I personally couldn't steer effectively due to the rapid changes between light and dark. 7) The audio features tornado/fire alarms. Be extremely wary if either of these can be upsetting for you. 8) Even when we tapped out before the second half of the maze, the back exit hallway was still filled with so much haze it was like silent hill, and it was close enough that you could still hear everything in the maze (including sirens/alarms) 9) The general manager was condescending, relying on classic customer service strategies, and completely skipped taking to Hannah after a certain point and only spoke to me. 10) When we were finally able to leave the building, the exit had no ramp off the sidewalk. It was just curb to parking lot, nothing for wheelchairs. 11) Even the most extreme haunted houses (ones that involve physical torture to those who go through), tell you exactly what you are signing up for. The Haunted Hoochie tells you that they show real clips of war time footage, 9/11, etc. Fear Columbus did none of these things. No warnings, no clarification, no explanation, no way to prepare for the sheer volume of the audio or the extremely disorienting strobe. Even the waiting room felt like absolute hell. This was a haunted house full of cheap tactics (I.E. sensory overload instead of effort into scares), lies about accessibility (they claim to be ADA accessible on their website), and extremely poor management. Everyone except the manager was doing their absolute damnedest to help us and make sure we were okay. The GM was extremely condescending, sexist, ableist, and cocky. Only dropping the facade after I disclosed my amount of customer service. Please, please for your own sake if you have any visual/auditory sensitivities, ANY disabilities, asthma, etc. do not go to fear Columbus. There is a reason they don't allow photos or videos inside the maze. There is a reason that they don't tell you what you are getting into. read more

Holy Sh$%!!!! This was THE best haunted houses I have ever been to. I decided to take my wife for Friday the 13th and it was CRAZY busy. A lot of the complaints I have read concerned line cutting, and honestly I didn't see any of that. There were some younger kids, but what do you expect, it's a haunted house! A huge thanks to the staff for being extremely professional, my wife felt completely comfortable the entire time. I would 100% recommend The 13th Floor to anyone looking for a great evening. Overall it was just a disorganized experience. Initially they have you walk through an area where you're supposed to be wearing these 3D glasses they give you. I asked the character operating the entrance to that 3D section when we should put the glasses on and she said she didn't know? Then we walked through that section with our glasses in-hand and totally missed that experience because the employee apparently knew nothing about the layout of the haunted house. So then later in the haunted house there were a number of characters totally half-@ssing their 'performance'. I think this place just pulls people in off the street and dresses them up each night because very few of them actually cared enough to do their job well. I think I even saw a zombie texting on his phone. And to that, there really weren't that many characters jumping out to scare you. It just felt like half their staff called in sick or something that night? In all honesty, this 13th floor haunted house is such a waste of time and money. The characters are sparse and uninterested in doing their jobs well. The whole place reminds me of those janky seasonal pop-up stores that barely have enough stuff to function properly (think halloween costume shop or tax refund place setup in a low-rent strip mall). They're there to make a quick buck only to disappear for 11 months. I go to Haunted Hoochie (Dead Acres) almost every year where they actually do an awesome job and really regretted trying something different. Super lame. read more

Wow, I didn't know what to think going in late September but my girlfriend and I were in town for the weekend, so we decided to check out a haunted house. Long story short this place was fantastic and absolutely terrified my girlfriend to the point that my driving is rarely criticized now. Im going to list what I thought was great. 1. They don't pack you up like sardines with people you don't know, so we were on the frontlines the entire time. 2. The props were actually well placed and not just for show. 3. Actors were utilized perfectly; not just having a couple bunched up or misplaced so the rest of the area is vacant. No they were well-spaced and ready each go-around 4. There are some places where you are just lost and that's ok, because nothing is better than being clamped in some black blow-up thing and letting go of your girlfriends hand to watch the real struggle commence. 5. Absolutely recommend, I've been to the Mansfield prison haunted house and honestly, this one was ahead of the game. read more
