Been shopping at Osuna for years. Prices are high in comparison to other nurseries but I've dealt with it. Yesterday I bought a six pack of moss rose flowers (they come packaged that way) but when I went to planting, there were only 4 plants in the package. I called them and described the shortage. The girl I spoke to said the manager would not make it right, basically saying "to bad". After all the money I've spent there through out the years this is how they treat a loyal customer. After being a little disappointed about the selection of plants at Home Depot, we went to the first nursery that came up which happened to be this one. We loved it. So much to look at, some very expensive things, which we giggled at, and a whole friggin green house. I'm a huge proponent of looking around at all of the different nurseries around town for the best options. I find that some have higher prices on one item, and then lower prices on another. I've recently been doing some yard improvements and have found a couple different plants at Osuna are happy and healthy so far. I did have a few ice plants that did not do well, but I am just thinking that might've been some bad luck. I bought a honeysuckle and some other vine-based plants to hopefully take over some fencing. They have a really good selection on certain things, especially I was able to find a number of varieties of honeysuckle that I've never even seen before. The one I ended up going with is a pink lemonade and the flowers that bloomed so far I have been beautiful. This is one of the larger nurseries around town and definitely worth checking out. They also have a large selection of things like trees and indoor plants. read more

BEWARE!!! Osuna does not stand by their products. Your receipt will tell you that you have 90 days to return a plant with issues and certain things will be stamped as final sale but in reality 90% of the things that you purchased are likely final sale and even if you come back within just a couple of weeks with issues they will not help you. They will not provide answers. They will not provide exchanges. After shopping here for 7+ years and spending thousands of dollars with them I WILL NEVET BE BACK. read more

Finally, I saw an event being held at Osuna Nursery and I signed up - Houseplant Care. Just an hour on a Saturday morning. I made it a priority. I learned a lot in that short hour . . . but, the best part was it finally got me to this wonderful plant heaven. Yes, Plant Heaven is the perfect name. So many knowledgeable customer service folks. I purchased a rose bush for my sister's birthday. She went to Osuna to purchase a tree and to arrange to have both planted by Osuna. Although I no longer had the receipt, since I had paid for it by credit card I had proof of purchase there. The assistant manager, Connie, treated by sister as if she was trying to steal something because she did not have the original receipt. Her attitude toward my sister was completely unacceptable. Since customer service is an important part of the success of any business, I am surprised that an established business would treat a customer this way. read more

On the hunt for backyard shading brought us here. They've got a great selection of trees that can fill our needs. Additionally, they had a nice selection of garden plants - our next project. There are indoor plant supplies as well as misc garden supplies - sprinkler, hoses, trimmers, snips and chemicals. A couple of other things we saw were the garden alebrijes - I think I know where to put the roadrunner! We also found the employees to be friendlier than other nurseries in town and more than willing to share their knowledge. I really like this nursery. When I was a teen my mom and I lived near a really well know nursery in Corona Del Mar called Rogers Gardens. This reminds me a lot of that. The styling of the interior of the big yellow building is amazing. Yes prices are higher than Walmart but if you need help and quality it's a great spot. Also they periodically have a clearance area with great deals. This pandemic has given me and the bf a desire for "green-thumbs." I choose Osuna because they are well known in Albuquerque. Since my first stop, I cannot hold myself back from going over-and-over again. The staff in gardening had me write a list of all my plants (or take photos) so we could get to the bottom of why I have a gnat problem. Apparently, gnats like to get "numbed-out" on dumb-cane. We got rid of the problematic plants. No more issue. The education of the staff was outstanding. The care about eco-friendly, animal-friendly, and pest care that isn't deadly to humans is outstanding. The plants we got have thrived. Their assortment of pots is impeccable. We got plastic eco-friendly pots with bottoms that come off so we can water bottom-up, and we got a bunch of small cute SW-style ceramic pots for our propagations that are ready to be potted and gifted (with holes in the bottom). The best part, they give a military discount. Staff was masked, the choices were abundant, the staff was knowledgeable, and the prices are reasonable. 10/10 would come back again. read more

Nice looking nursery, poor customer service. I went looking for some dwarf fruit trees to plant this fall. They had a fair selection, but minimal help in choosing the right plant. If you flag someone down they will answer limited questions, but it's like pulling teeth. In the end I went to another nursery (Rehms) that actually took the time to talk to me and answer my questions. I doubt I will go back here again. read more

I had to read the reviews once I saw the lower rating that I wouldn't expect Osuna to have. A lot of people commented on lack of knowledge or employees being distant and not offering help. One thing I know about osuna is that they have the most employees I've seen at a nursery - most just watering! Osuna is so big that people really get into the browsing. I wouldn't ask people for assistance unless they approached me in an environment like that as they probably assume people know what they are there for or are browsing the big selection. Anyway - I have always had informative employees answer questions or connect me with those who had. One employee was so helpful in helping me find the plants I was really looking for as I almost bought the wrong ones! This store is top notch for native plant lovers and knowledge. Their sales are great and their educational classes are immensely helpful. The store is absolutely beautiful with an astonishing collection of anything and everything. The only plant I got here that died was lavender and that was more my rookie gardening skills than anything else. Best store ever! Also, Maya is always helpful and kind. Go osuna ! read more

Purchased a bottle of insect spray about a month ago that we never ended up using. Cost was only $10.79 plus tax. Keep in mind, it was never used. Took it back requesting a refund but was denied as they have a 14-day refund policy. I wasn't aware of their policy, but it's listed on the receipt. I was told by the cashier that I could only receive a store credit. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager showed up, glanced at the receipt, and said, "No. It's past the 14-day limit." When I pointed out that the bottle was never used and that this wasn't a plant, tree, shrub or anything else that might have been used, weathered, or ruined, she could care less. The manager restated, "I can only approve a store credit", to which I relented and she walked off acting like she had just done me a favor or won a battle for the store. Very rude and not customer friendly. We try to support local businesses but when you treat your customers like this, it's hard. Therefore, I will spend my store credit and never shop here again. A family member warned us not to shop there as they are over-priced and rude. I should have listened. I mean, a simple $10.79 refund to make a customer happy and they refuse. As a family of over 30 members, I will ask them not to shop there or shop their at their risk and expense. To the owners of Osuna, you've lost a lot of business and loyal customers and you're only going to lose more. read more

I gotta preface this with something I know to be super true at this time of social isolation: I'm incredibly lucky. I have a home. It's near nature. I have a strong, beautiful family. I continue to work, to support all of those things I have. For the moment, I have my health. I am incredibly LUCKY. While I've found plenty to do with my free time, I've also been hesitant to do some home improvement work, and in the spring that translates to gardening and planting. Thankfully, our State has deemed nurseries and garden centers "essential" businesses -- because they help people grow their own food -- thus, we've hopped on that train. Everything we're planting this spring is edible, and all of it is coming from Osuna. We've visited twice, both times we found employees helpful but distanced, the shopping experience was uncrowded and easy, and the register checkout was clean and sanitized. We're headed back this weekend to line the upstairs patio with more edible goods, and I'm proud we're supporting local. read more

I have received the WORST customer service from your employee, Claire. A cashier incorrectly charged me full sale price for items that were marked down during the 50-75% off sale during Halloween weekend. I immediately went to the customer service counter, where Claire attempted to refund me for the charges, but she processed them incorrectly and also missed a few items that should've been reduced. There was NO apology and in fact, my husband and I have had to go in on THREE separate occasions to work with her to get the proper amount refunded. Claire was unable to figure out the refund procedure (she stated she is the manager of her department), and she told me she would call by this Tuesday with a resolution. She never called, so I called. She had completely forgotten to call me, attempted to make up several excuses, and stated that the manager would be in on Thursday and she would call me after she got in at noon today (11/10/2022). I called today at 4:50pm after not hearing from her, ONCE AGAIN, and no one answered the telephone. It will be TWO weeks on Saturday that I have waited for a resolution. I offered to be refunded the difference (which she has never disputed I am owed) with a gift card if that would make the process easier, as your nursery is one of my most favorite businesses to spend my time and money at, almost weekly, but Claire has now forced me to dispute the credit card charge and question my continued business with you. It is INCREDIBLY important for businesses to treat their customers properly, and Claire is lacking TREMENDOUSLY in that department. I am frustrated that she never offered an apology, has expected me to come in MULTIPLE times at her convenience, I waited for her to call on MULTIPLE occasions, and now is not answering the telephone during business hours. I sincerely hope you will make things right with this. I have wasted HOURS of my time trying to give your business the benefit of the doubt. Shame on Claire for being a poor reflection of your business. Please contact me as soon as possible, as this seems to be the only way to contact you without going to the nursery directly, AGAIN. read more

There really is an oasis in the middle of the desert and it's the Osuna Nursery!! I'm so impressed by this place!! The staff was super helpful and friendly and gave great advice to a plant killer like me! They gave me a great suggestion for a hearty starter plant + tips on how to care for it! They sell pretty cool home decor items AND this place is surprisingly MUCH larger than it looks from the outside!! It is massive!! They have an area for indoor plants, herbs, outdoor flowers - there is so much to see here! They have an incredible selection of plants of all sorts and the plants look nice and HEALTHY. Sometimes when going to the (cough) homegoods stores, those plants can look like they are on their LAST legs...err...leaf!!!! Not here, the plants are clearly well taken care of and the staff is very knowledgeable. Once this plant survives :-) I will be back! read more

Our last visit there was a price discrepancy on posted sign and what they said at check-out. The real problem was their argumentative and dismissive attitude over it. We visited Osuna to find some cacti to plant in pots on our patio. The selection was pretty good (no huge ones but small and medium sized are abundant) and the prices seemed reasonable. There was not many staff in that area to assist but we were able to find help when we had questions about pot size, soil etc. The selection is large and diverse overall and that's probably why this nursery was crazy busy. A good experience overall and we will probably be back for more cacti soon. read more

I never did get assistance and wound up leaving empty handed. I had some difficulty finding what I wanted and finding some prices was challenging, as well. I was recommended to go to Osuna to buy some pesticide. I was recommended by Osuna staff to get the Tree &Shrub pesticide for borers. Annual stuff. This was last week. Cost was $22 for 32 oz. Today i was at Lowes for something totally different and I see the same pesticide on a stand on sale: "$1.50. Usual price $14.50". Osuna nusery ripping people off? Yes!!
