A friend had been hyping up their design style, so when I heard they had a coffee bar, it seemed like a good excuse to go and check out both. Their aesthetic is new, antiseptic cozy. If that makes sense. Kinda like what a furniture store would look like if Hobby Lobby sold furniture too. Not terrible, just not my taste. It is cozy, so that's a plus. The coffee bar is styled in the same way, so it's also cozy, plus it offers a nice variety of fancy coffees. Normally, I mostly stick with a traditional latte, but I wanted to try one of their fan favorites. I had their Pear Spice Latte. Though I couldn't taste the pear, it was pretty good, like caramel candy. It reminded me of Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte. If you're hankering for a snack, Poulin's coffee bar has pastries, including cookies, and their customizable oatmeal cup. It's a nice space and was quiet the day i was there. The baristas are nice and very helpful. The building itself has a whacky layout. When I first arrived at Poulin, I entered from the southwest entrance, which is on the west side of the building. The receptionist said the coffee bar was on the first floor but you couldn't just walk there from where we were. You have two choices, the first was to go back outside and walk to the northwest entrance. Easy, but not fun if it's freezing outside and the person is in a wheelchair. The northern and southern halves of the building are separated by a wall with no doorway to access either side. There is a nice awning over the sidewalk between the two entrances so you'll be protected from rain and snow. Otherwise, you stay inside and either head up the stairs to the second floor or take the one elevator. Then you walk across the second floor to the stairs on the north side and take those down to the decor store, or the coffee bar which is located at the northwest corner. The logic is that they have separated the custom design/furniture department from their decor department and coffee court. Because I only looked at the furniture as I passed, I didn't see the prices. But the receptionist handed me a coupon flyer that seemed to have good deals. The coffee prices seemed in line with other places.

I like the experienced help who can answer any questions I give them. They have an abundance of plant and tree choices and a huge variety of seeds. Likely to find anything you might be looking for. The discount of the four plants I bought was an incentive to visit. It's a little bumpy drive going down to the grounds. But worthwhile.
