The owners are really nice and ready to answer any and all questions but the pricing on a lot of their wares was a touch high for my liking. After a terrible experience with another furniture retailer, I wasn't sure what to expect walking…read moreinto Furniture 42. I'm glad I did. I was looking for a specific bedroom set from New Classic Furniture. Not only was Furniture 42 able to order the exact collection I wanted, they beat the price I had already negotiated elsewhere. What really earned this review, though, was the people. From the moment I walked into the store, it was obvious that owner Jackie Robinson Jr. has built more than a furniture business. He's built a team that genuinely cares about customers and takes pride in doing things the right way. Every interaction felt authentic. There was no pressure, no games, just honest people who wanted to help. I had the opportunity to work with Angelo and Thomas as well, and they left just as much of an impression as Jackie. They were respectful, hardworking, communicated well, worked together seamlessly, and took genuine pride in what they were doing. As a customer, it was easy to see they had been trusted, mentored, and given an opportunity to grow. One moment really stood out to me. After my furniture arrived, Jackie called to let me know everything was ready. During that conversation, he asked if I already had a foundation for the bed because he wanted to make sure I had everything I needed before delivery. As it turns out, I did need one. He had them in stock, added two Twin XL foundations to my order, and delivered them with the rest of the furniture that same day. The previous retailer never even mentioned that I would need a foundation. Jackie anticipated a need I didn't even know I had and solved the problem before it became one. That's customer service. Everything arrived together, was assembled professionally, and was exactly what I ordered. Furniture can be purchased almost anywhere. Character, integrity, and genuine customer care are much harder to find. If you're shopping for furniture in Albuquerque, I highly recommend giving Furniture 42 a chance to earn your business. They certainly earned mine.

Even better, knowing that the piece you buy is hardwood and doesn't have a hint of particle or press board like everyone else? We bought a coffee table with a hinged top that doubles as a chest. It was made of reclaimed floorboards and is the perfect piece for our style. We can't wait to go back for more pieces. The staff was knowledgeable and really friendly. They waxed our piece before we left and shrinkwrapped it for the trip home to prevent scratches. The prices in the shop are great. Our coffee table was $250.

I've browsed here a number of times, and made my first purchase yesterday. The inventory changes…read moreevery so often, and the store is always packed with interesting furniture - mostly tables, cabinets, and shelves, but lamps, chairs, and chests, too. It's not a big place, so they've got tables stacked three or four high, which made it a little difficult to examine some pieces in detail. The staff was friendly and helpful, and helped get my purchase into my car. I am taking one star off as they do not offer delivery services, which would make it difficult for me to consider larger purchases. There was a sign by the register that said they could help you find a mover, though. Things here have that "rustic" or "shabby chic" look, which means there are chips or dents in some pieces, and rough edges or uneven paint coverage in others, though they're still solid and of good quality. Prices are pretty reasonable. I brought home an Indian coffee table with beautiful carvings along the edge, and rounded, carved legs for $200.

I eventually found the hot sauce section, which, incidentally, is incredibly well organized, including the cool display for the Ass Kickin' stuff (prices on the hot sauces are outstanding and there are several I have seen here and nowhere else), but I wish the rest of the store was organized similarly. The entire thing screams clutter and spicy products (I think, I tried really hard to find them all, but maybe (probably) missed some) are maybe 20% of the floor space. The rest is coffee and mugs and t-shirts and pinon stuff and just random...shit. Back to my confusion...I don't understand why this place is called Chile ADdict when so little of the inventory is related to piquancy. I guess calling it a gift shop would be less interesting, maybe? Anyway, if you have a lot of time and patience to spend carefully hunting and foraging around this (sometimes precariously and hapazardly) scattered array, it can definitely be rewarding, but it won't be fast.

I was greeted right when I walked in and had my new parts about 3 minutes later. I love the fact that the staff here were very knowledgeable and friendly, if I didn't stay to take pictures for my Yelp review, I would've been in and out in under 5 minutes. Service was great and the prices were comparable to the big box home improvement stores. I think I spent an extra dollar here. I'll be back for sure and I totally recommend T J Hardware for any maintenance or remodel supplies.
