Chicken/Beef on the rocks
Shay S.

Used to come here all the time, I had the chicken/beef on the rocks extra hot and it was good. Service was pretty quick. I've noticed that ever since they franchised the quality of food has slightly decreased, still good but not as great as it was when it first opened.

Decent place to visit if you're craving something quick, cheap and filling. Their menu is simple, and to the point. I usually grab the chicken on the rocks. Their medium size is filling, and can be shared between 2 people.

I wanted to Shawarma type food so i looked on yelp and found this place. I came here and got the medium chicken on rocks. i had read the warnings so i got it at the light level. Oh man people were not lying that red sauce is HOT, beware! That said the price was good, the food was made very quickly. The food is also delicious. Mich better than Pita Land. I think this might be my new go to place for Shawarma when visiting home in Scarborough.

Ok so real quick. Since I sat down at 5 pm. It is not 5:13.. at least 15 people have come and gone n ordered their takeouts already. That says something to me bout their food. It's Mediterranean food. But it's delish. Not ur usual shawarmas and falafel joints like on lawrence east. They put their own twist to it... Like chicken on the rocks. What is it do you say? It's their own secret sauce n spices on the chicken served on a big pile of rice. On top is their secret white sauce, I think it's tahini.. and hot sauce as well. They also have chicken on the sticks which is the same only differejce is it's served on top of fries. I'm having their house special plate which is the chicken on the rocks with salad. For $10. It's really good. I like mine spicy so the amount of hot sauce is awesome. It's in a small plaza in the morningside and military trail area.

The service at this location seems a lot better, perhaps new management. Have gotten my order wrong a few times, so always check before you leave.

Where's the ingredients

Ordered take out from this location and was very disappointed in the service and quality of my order the wraps were all made with minimal ingredients and none of my roc's came with the garlic topping at other locations when I've ordered a combo, it has come with medium sized sides questioned this at the counter and was brushed off Contacted head office and still haven't heard a word from them DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

This location is ALWAYS BUSY and never have I ever seen them run out of food! I never brought takeout for Ma but SHE LOVES the Hot Sauce (At mild level! What?!) I've been here multiple times when my immune system needs nutrition with a bang! I guess I'm nit ordering for myself anymire which is spicy sweet ;) NEVER DISSAPOINTING!

I live nearby and never have I looked at this place twice- it's pretty small store in a plaza. Anyway I decided to get some lunch that's not-so-unhealthy. So I decided to give this place a try. And honestly I was amazed by the quality and quantity of the meal I received. It's pretty delicious- the chicken wasn't dry, the sauce was good, and the salad was fresh with good dressing. The hot sauce was actually spicy, but not sour. I would say it's the best option of food that you can get in that specific plaza by Pan Am. Besides the price was reasonable. Tax included my meal was only $10.75. I would go back again and definitely tell people about this place.

Chicken on the Rox
Dilanee S.

My friend and I were both craving Chicken on the Rox (my favourite) and our craving was definitely satisfied. This dish is so good; it comes with rice, chicken, this white sauce and hot sauce drizzled on top. You get to choose your hot sauce level. The only reason I had to update my review was that the quality is not the same as how it was before. Being a frequent customer, it has really changed. Portions are also smaller than before.

Disgusting. So much sauce but no flavour

Tried the Chicken on the Rocks & Stix (half & half) - with two lines of hot sauce, it was super filling - enough for almost two people!

Tahini's - Cross section of Gyros Wrap

Tahini's

Tip: It's on Uber Eats…read more A few Saturdays ago, I visited this Tahini's in the Malvern area of Scarborough. This eatery is located in a plaza, across from a Walmart Supercentre. I placed an order through Uber Eats and got two regular habibi bowls, which were BOGO. I got them without any pita chips on top. I went with the original, which was chicken, tzatziki, fried onions, spicy garlic sauce, and parsley, all on rice. I chose mild hot for the bowls. I got an estimated time to pick up my order. I was at Malvern Town Centre, so it took no time to drive over here. I got here at around 3:30 pm. There was plenty of parking. I backed into a spot and headed inside the eatery. I was greeted by a friendly woman. I was the only customer. I let her know that I had an Uber Eats order under my name. She nodded and fetched a paper bag with my name on it. I thanked her. We wished each other a great day. I then headed to my car, secured the goods, and drove home. This Tahini's was the second one that I have ever visited. The one in Richmond Hill has steady business. It was a nice change that this location wasn't as crazy at this hour. For dinner, I had one of the bowls. I had the other one the following day. It was my first time having a habibi bowl. It was yummy! The chicken was delicious. It was tender and flavourful with everything in the bowl. The base was fluffy yellow rice. I should order this bowl again. The toppings were fresh. So good! The second bowl heated up fine the following day. It tasted equally as yummy. I've had the baklava at the other location. I should have some here next time. I loved my food and my experience here. I'll be back when I'm in the area again. (335)

We got the garlic sauce and hummus - both came in nice large dollops. Purple cabbage gave a nice crunch as did the pita chips they sprinkled in. Turnips and pickles have a nice salty flavor. Tomatoes are thinly sliced but few in quantity I felt. The pineapples were canned pineapples but decent amount. Overall a pretty filling dish - would recommend the larger size for dinner. Good price for what you get!

Overall it tasted good and was a lot of food. The chicken shawarma wrap was good but it didn't get any pomegranate sauce. Though I'm grateful to the server when I asked for more chicken and garlic sauce on top of the wrap so it can look like what's advertised on social media. It just looks better! The chicken meal was good and had lots of fries. I liked the Cole slaw and marinated veggies. But I found it difficult eating the chicken shawarma wrap because they are cut into small pieces and filling kept falling out. The place was spacious with lots of tables so I dined in. I came early at 11:30am and slowly got busier.

It was 5 pm and I was looking for a place to get some takeout for dinner. I looked at my Uber Eats app and saw a BOGO deal at Shawarma Royale. I went ahead and ordered two chicken shawarma on rice meals. The app said that it would take between five to fifteen minutes. My order was ready in less than ten minutes. Insane! There's plenty of parking in this plaza. It does get busy with a lot of impatient folks who enjoy leaning on their car's horns. Ignore them, find a spot, and park. I did and walked into the eatery. It looks pretty new. It was spacious and so pretty. I loved the flowers on fake verandas. I want a fake veranda now! There were two men handling food behind the counter. I showed one of them my Uber Eats order number from my phone (I love this feature, which makes it so easy compared to digging up the number in the past and rattling it off). He saw it, looked at the bag on the counter, and handed it over. I wished him a great day. He reciprocated. I left happy with my bundle of food happiness. This restaurant has daily specials. They look good both from yummy and price perspectives. I drove home and had one of the meals. I'll be having the other for dinner tonight. The meals come in styrofoam boxes. They aren't packed full. If you are the type who expects a full box of food, you may be sad. However, I liked it being 75% full, especially when it comes to rice. I normally like salad over rice, so less rice is more for me. I'm avoiding a full-blown carb coma here. It's more like a mild slumber. The rice was good. It was a bit bland, but the chicken, garlic sauce, and tahini make up for it. The chicken was tender and mildly seasoned. It could use more charring, but it wasn't horrible. I loved the garlic sauce and tahini. You could taste the garlic, although I could probably go stronger. My garlicky breath wasn't enough to make others around me run for the hills, but it was there that they'd still want to hang out with me. The tahini was so creamy and yummy. The place has Barbican beverages. I was tempted to get one, but I had purchased a bunch of drinks earlier than I didn't need any more. I want the shawarma poutine. The photo looked good that I hope that the real deal is similar. It's a decent additional to a plaza with a Chick N Joy and McDonald's. I'd return for more when I'm in the area again. (109)
